Ipad mini cannot delete unwanted app from the purchase list

Ipad mini cannot delete unwanted app from the puchase list . too many app there

You can't permanently delete any items from your purchase history, but you should be able to hide them via your computer's iTunes : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919 - if your iPad is on iOS 7, then after hiding them on your computer you may need to log out of your account on your iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in for them to be hidden in the Purchased tab in the App Store app on it (the last time I hid an app I needed to do that).

  • I deleted one app from the purchases list and how can I get it back?

I find it at app store but it says i already accept it and I don't know how to download it again.

You may have accidentally "hidden" the app.
Click Account right side of the App Store window under Quick Links and login.
In the Account Information window click View Hidden Purchases
    Then click Unhide > Done

  • TS1702 How do I delete an app from the purchased area?

I allowed my grandson to use my device. iPad 2
He downloaded several which I wish to uninstall.
    How do I do that?

Tap and hold down on an icon until it jiggles, then tap the X on the icon to delete the app from the device itself.
You cannot remove apps from the purchased list on the iPad in iOS 6. You can hide apps in the purchased tab but you have to do it from a computer using iTunes. You can read about it here.

If you are running iOS 5, swipe across the cloud icon next to app in the purchased tab of the app store and a Hide button will appear.

  • How do I delete an app from my purchased list?

My son purchased an unsuitable app for his age accidentally. Is there anyway I can remove it from my purchase list.

    Hello there, Comfycanine.
You may just want to report the issue using the information from this Knowledge Base article:

  • I cannot delete unwanted app from my iPhone 5.  They wiggle and show the X but when I press the X it grays our but will not delete or go back to the home page when I press the home button

The icons wiggle and show the x but they will not delete when I press the X.  Also the home button will not cancel the action.

Try doing a hard reset: Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/wake button simultaneously for about 15 seconds and release when the Apple logo appears.
After this, try again to delete the app.
If that doesn't solve the issue, you could also try backing up the device and restoring the device as new.
In that case, follow the steps in: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
NB: set up as a NEW device because a software issue will be in the backup. If the issue persists after restoring as new, you should offer the device for service.
If you're not able to restore the device, this one might help: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
Using his article will erase everything on the device, so make sure you have a backup!
    Good luck

    Click the Applications tab.
    Select Sync applications.
    Click the Selected applications button.
Deselect the applications you wish to remove.
    Click Apply.

how can I delete an app from the cloud, so nobody can download it again to my phone?? please I tried from the computer but it just hide the app from purchased, and still appears in the app store with the cloud on it

At the present time, you can't hide or delete an app from your purchased list on your phone.  Prior to iOS 6 you could hide it; there has never been an option to delete it.

  • Hello. I have a problem. I cannot delete any apps from my ipad. It won't even wiggle when i tap and hold on the icon. There's also no restrictions and passcodes in my settings. My photos on camera roll even get lost once i shut down my ipad. Please help.

The preinstalled apps, those that came as part of the iOS, cannot be deleted and will not shake or provide the black circle-X for deletion.
Others should do that if you touch and hold for a few seconds.
If they are not, do a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears and it restarts, ignoring the red slider if that appears.

  • I'm beginning to believe you cannot delete unwanted app updates.  Is that a correct assumption?

Am I correct in assuming you cannot delete unwanted app updates?

They should have a "More" link on each. CTRL- or RIGHT-click on it and select Ignore update from the context menu. This is all you can do.
If you erase the software from all disks, then you should not be bothered about them at all.

  • How do I delete uninstalled Apps from the iPhone app list that is shown inside iTunes on my PC after sychronizaton?

To clarify and to not receive the answers of those who doesn't read more than 2 lines of a post: I am not asking how can I delete backups to free space in iCloud nor how to hide the purchase history!!! those things I already know...
to be clearer please let me explain what I mean by "list inside the iTunes of my PC". To access the list to which I am reffering you must take this steps:
    1) Connect the iPhone to the PC. This should open iTunes if not already opened and activate the synchronization between iPhone and PC.
    2) After syncronization and eventual backup in the iTunes window on the top right side it appears the tab "iPhone".
    3) Click said tab "iPhone" to see its content. In the top bar you can see 9 tabs: "Summary", "Info", "Apps", "Music", "Movies", "TV Shows", "Books", "Photos" and "On This iPhone".
    4) Click the 3rd tab, the one named "Apps", in this window on the left side you have the full list of the apps and on the right side you can see how these apps are arranged inside the device (inside home screens and folders).
I am referring to this particular list, the one on the left side of this page. See, I ricently run out of space in my iCloud so I decided tidy things up. I deleted all of the old backups both form iCloud and from PC and I hid all of the Apps that I no longer use from my purchase history.
now, the point is, every time I go to this particular list I can still find all of the apps, even those uninstalled from the device and removed from the purchase history...
In this list the apps that are still installed on my divece have got the "remove" button at its side and those which are not have got the "install" button... my point is that I went to great lengths to clean everything and still I can't seem to find a way to remove unwanted apps from this particular list...
I do suspect that it is because I have to restore some registry inside the iPhone itself... The point is that I don't want these apps to appear on this list anymore but I don't know how to clear it... Any help? Have I been clear?
    thanks

That list includes all the apps that you installed to your device directly from iTunes on the computer, or which were purchased on the iOS device and subsequently transferred to iTunes on the computer.
If you right click on any item in that list and choose "Show in Windows Explorer" it will open your iTunes application installer directory on your computer, which should be:
    C:\Users\User\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Mobile Applications
In there are all your saved application installers (*.ipa files).  You need to delete those actual installer bundles and then make sure to NOT allow the "transfer purchased content" when you sync or backup in iTunes (as that will just put them back on your hard drive).
One caveat to removing those, is that if you ever wish to keep a specific release of a particular app, and the developer replaces the iTunes/App store version with something else, your sole source for your older version will be your own stored copy of it.  So for example, when PDF expert released their iOS 7 update, and charged everyone full price for it, if you wished to keep using the previous version on your own devices, then you needed to keep a copy of the installer on your own computer as that older version is no longer available in the store front.

  • I cannot download an app from the app store, it keeps loading until it says "You have already purchased this app so it will be downloaded no at  no additional charge", and then it prompt for password and I input it after which nothing happens.

I cannot download an app from the app store, it keeps loading until it says "You have already purchased this app so it will be downloaded no at  no additional charge", and then it prompt for password and I input it after which nothing happens.
I know my icloud has record of my installing this app before, but that was the first install that was failed during that time some other apps also keeps loading without respond whey they updated itself, and this app didn't install before I restart the device. But I don't see this app on my device after I restarted the device so it should have been installed on my device. It seems icloud has created some kind of dead loop that makes it not able to get the correct status about this app on my device.
I have no problem install this app on my other device (iPad) with the same account, but just fail on my iPhone. And it just fine installing other apps...... What happened !!?? @@
    Please help !!!

Someone help! I dont know how to do this and please put the words into an easy way to understand because im young...

  • HT4673 I delete unwanted apps with the jiggling x, but they promptly reappear the next time I open launchpad.  How do I delete in Lion?

I delete unwanted apps with the jiggling x, but they promptly reappear the next time I open launchpad.  How do I delete in Lion?

I'd suggest removing the unwanted items directly from your Applicaitons folder. In order to do this, you'll need to highlight the desired applicaiton, then use File -> Move to Trash (or CMD + Delete on your keyboard).
If they're still showing up in Launchpad, or if they don't exist in the Applications folder, use the following command in Terminal to remove your existing Launchpad databases (as they may be damaged and not updating correctly) and restart Launchpad (which will create fresh databases):
    rm ~/Library/Application\ Support/Dock/*.db ; killall Dock
