Ipad mini - checked out as guest

Hello I just recently ordered a ipad mini w/ retenia, but i was a little surprised to not receive a confirmation email after purchase? I have seen other posts about this happening so i thought i might as well make one since i never read a solution, except for getting ahold of some one on here.
Thanks for the help,
andy

IPad Mini locked out, cannot remember passcode.I connected to my computer but cannot access ICloud(probably not synced) and cannot access ITunes(computer says I have to unlock my IPad to access) to fix problem. What else can I do?Have tried using the user manual and the online advice and nothing is working.

You may have to do this several times.
Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school environment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.

  • When does the iPad Mini come out in Australia?

When does the iPad Mini come out in Australia?

Already out. I'm responding on my iPad 4. However I was told as I bought one from a retailer that there is a delay on the 4G version. Doesn't worry me, I don't have any end for it. May be the same with the mini version.

  • My iPad mini ran out of battery when installing an app and now the app has gone?

I updated Quiz Up today while my iPad mini had 2% battery left! and I thought this would be enough but just as the update was installing my iPad ran out of battery so I immediately put it on charge! when my iPad turned on the app was still there but was darker and said 'waiting' underneath, so I then went to the App Store to continue to update but when I went to the updates section the update was gone, I them we to back to the apps location and the app had gone, so I went to reinstall it but it only said open next to it, and when I press this it does nothing, I would like the app back but I don't know how to get it back, any suggestions? I thought the all might be corrupt but I can't delete it and reinstall it because the icon has gone and it doesn't show up in spotlight, so what do it do?

    Maybe:

Otherwise try downloaing on computer and sync
The go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage and tap on the app and try deleting it.

  • If I managed to replace my iPad Mini with Out-Of-Warranty Service, what exactly am I getting?

Ok, original iPad Mini, 32 GB, iOS 8.1.2
So, long story short, my iPad Mini's screen is pretty much cracked. I read that I could get a replacement that will be "new or equivalent to new in both performance and reliability." I read that thinking that I'll get the iPad Mini 3 if I hand in my iPad Mini for service. Am I right? If I am, I have one lingering concern: since my iPad Mini is the 32 GB model, which the iPad Mini 3 doesn't come in, does that mean that I'll have to downgrade to 16 GB? Or upgrade to 64 GB? Or maybe I can only get the iPad Mini Retina since that one does have a 32 GB model. Not that it bothers me too much if I get a Retina, or heck, the original (as long as I don't have to downgrade to 16 GB) but it would be nice if someone could clarify this for me before I send the iPad in.
Also, I'm new here, I have no idea where else this post can go.

You will get a refurbished iPad Mini, 32GB service replacement unit just like you have now.

  • Need Copy of Receipt - Checked out as guest

I'm sorry if this is is a duplicate, as I have been trying to figure out how to get around this site!
I purchased a fitbit flex as a christmas gift last year, and am currently looking for a receipt so that I can obtain a replacement for the lost tracker.  I do not have any saved emails to reference an order number, and do not have a password to login to an account and check order history.  Is there anything else I can do to locate it?
    Thanks!

I've seen a few of these and was just wondering if one of the mods could look up my order number through this email address. I didn't write it down and never got the email.

    Hi kayeaehm,
Well, that's no good! Not knowing your order number would certainly make tracking its progress difficult, but rest assured that I'd be glad to help you out.

  • IPad Mini completely ran out of battery and now wont turn on at all, even after being on charge for a number of hours. What can I do?

My iPad mini ran out of battery yesterday and now won't turn on at all. How do I resolve this?

When the battery goes flat it can 15 to 20 minutes of charging to then be able to get a response from it, but if you've charged it for longer than that they it should have picked up some charge. Have you got a different charger or cable that you could try just in case there is a problem with either of those - an iPhone or iPod charger will work with the iPad, but as they are lower power will take longer.

  • I am trying to sync my iPad mini, Macbook Pro and iPhone through iCloud

Nothing is pushing through to the other devices. Not contacts or calendars or anything. All this is set up. Each device is linked to my Apple ID.
So what's the issue? It's not even sending the information to the main icloud server because I've checked this too!

Thanks! Where  do I check that specifically?
Also - after playing around some more realised that my iPad mini pushes out to my iphone and macbook. So when I update contacts on my iPad it updates everywhere else.

  • F87L935UF196: iPad mini Wi-Fi (Leo's iPad)

Do you have any questions about my iPad mini? You can ask them at Apple Support Communities. And I will answer them if I know the answer.

    Update:
Read some other posts and tried this and it works (but a bit flakey):
Shut down router, computer and iPad Mini
Then power them on in the following sequence:
    1. Computer and launch iTunes
    2. Router
    3. Ipad Mini (check Wi-Fi connection OK)
    Wait until everything is loaded
ITunes will still not show the device, but on iPad Mini go to Settings/General/iTunes/Wi-Fi Sync
"Sync Now" should no longer be "grayed out", so press it
The device then appeared on iTunes
However(!), when the computer is switched off and on, the device disappears from iTunes, but if you then also switch the iPad Mini off and on, it will be available again (you might still have to go to Sync Now again on the device first)
General comment - Wi-Fi sync is quite slow and won't perform software updates - you'll still need the cable!

  • Low battery capacity ipad mini IOS 7

After installing IOS 7 my Ipad mini runs out of battery in less then 24h without using it. How do i fix that?

Something may have gone amiss in the upgrade to iOS 7 on your device.
To correct this follow these steps:
Backup your device using iTunes or iCloud.
Use iTunes to completely restore your device as new.
Setup your device and monitor battery usage to see if it is normal. If not, you may have a hardware problem - if so, contact Apple support.
Restore your device from your backup above.
Check battery usage to confirm that it remains normal.
