IPad mini constant activation follow by unknown device.

I have a problem and is getting my nerve. The problem here is whenever I was playing my iPad mini, suddenly shut me to lock mode, and I would have to key in my passcode and was brought to wifi page to choose the network to activate my iPad. It take a good 2 min to activate once it is done it appears unknown device in my screen. I encounter this for a few times a day. Please help me out.

Press & hold power button press menu button hold both down until you see Apple Logo and wait until ipad is reset you will
not lose any data.

Yesterday my ipad-mini shows activation error and it says that my device is not activated and i have to activate it on ipad-mini developer forum. Whats does that mean and how i resolve it

  • Ipad mini not activating

My ipad mini which was working fine until yesterday has stopped working this morning. It says it cannot connect to server and activate. My apple id and password I entered are correct. I had upgraded to ios 7 a week ago. How do I fix this? The ipad is not usable now.

If you were on iOS7 beta, then it looks like the beta version has expired on you. You have to upgrade to the latest release version to get it working again.
    Go here: https://developer.apple.com/devcenter/ios/index.action
Once there, download the latest version for your device and install the update the iPad. iTunes will not do this automatically, but if you do the following steps (after downloading) you should be good.
Plug iPad into your computer where you downloaded the latest release (7.0.2 at time of this post)
Open iTunes and click on the button in the upper right of the app for your iPad
Hold option (mac) or shift (windows) and click on Check for Updates. This will bring up a browse dialog.
Find the .ipsw file named something like this: iPad2,5_7.0.2_11A501_Restore.ipsw
Follow prompts to update and activate your iPad.
You should be back to normal at that point.
Apple will expire developer versions to make sure people are not using old versions for testing or development.
    Hope this helps!

  • Iphone 5 fallen in water drained for around 20 secs, kept in rice bag for 2 days, worked perfectly for 6 hrs! now it shows to restore, after restoring during activation it says unknown device contact apple care.

hello, i have an iphone 5 it just fell into water and was in there for around 20seconds. I've seen on many of websites saying to keep it in a rice bag for 48 hours nd said it may work so i've done the same. I took out my phone from dat rice bag yesterday which worked perfectly alright for 6 hours and then switched off automatically! when i connected it to itunes it detected as a recovery device which after recovery during activation it shows as an unknown device! been working on it soo long! i live in mauritius here i have no official apple store but my phone is still under warranty. Please help me!!

When your phone was exposed to water, your warranty/support was voided, so you no longer have any warranty. An out of warranty exchange, from Apple, is US $269. Call AppleCare or whoever handles support where you live.

  • My new iPad mini does not show under manage devices

I just purchased a new iPad mini for my husband. I removed his old one from the section of iTunes that reads manage devices. And even though his new iPad mini is synced and backed up, now the new one does not show under manage devices.
Can anyone tell me how to get it to show up? I called Apple support and the lady trying to help me did not even know what I was talking about.
    Thank you.

i can seem to figure out how to turn on HOME SHARING so i can stream or mirror my Ipad Mini on my HDTV using my new Apple TV...everything i have read says just sign into I-tunes and activate Home Sharing...I am older and dumber than most users i guess

You can see which Mac you have and which operating system you are using by selecting 'About this Mac' from the Apple menu in the top left corner of your Mac and selecting the 'More Info' button.

Because it says it's incompatible when it can't be, I got hope. I get error messages all the time with my iPod and iPhone that it cannot sync and that 'this device is not capapble of connecting to iTunes' stuff. I literally forget that happened, plug it in again and it works, I later realize that iTunes made a mistake, they do that.

  • Am a new user have the iPad mini have the virgin mobile wifi as have not Internet connection but it loses the connection and have to call to have them reset device is there another way for wifi service thank you terrie

Am a new user have an iPad mini and have virgin mobile mifi device for wifi, as this is the only Internet we have but it keeps going out as they are upgrading there system and I have to call at least 3 times a day to reconnect is there another way or other service for wifi that would work instead, I am not good at these devices thank you terrie

Windows 7 Home Basic does not support ad hoc or hosted network functionality (what Connectify and Virtual Router use). At a minimum you would need to upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium. Note the Applies to these editions of Windows 7 statement at the right in this article.
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Set-up-a-computer-to-computer-ad-hoc -network
Again using a broadband wireless (WiFi) router is the best way to go presuming its in your budget.

  • Can I remove ios8 from my iPad mini?

EEver since I installed ios8 on my iPad mini it is so slow, apps keep crashing, the keyboard won't work sometimes and I have had to restart it too many times to mention. I think I may throw it at the wall soon. What can I do to get it to work properly? I have stopped notification, and locator on most apps to try help. Nothing works.

I'd defiantly try a factory reset first to see how things look afterwards.
Its safe to say IOS8 is buggy for me and I'm sure Apple will fix many of the issues soon. The main problems I have experienced to date on a factory reset iPad Mini are as follows:
    General system slow down.
Safari is very slow to render web pages, this could be WIFI related.
The keyboard seems slow to respond especially within Safari.
I opened a new email earlier this morning and it caused the iPad to auto reboot. Thats a first for me on an Apple device.
The ability to make / receive a call on your iPad always seems to fail for me. My iPad will ring when a call is received I will answer but it will immediately fail to connect. The same happens on outgoing calls.
Battery life on first impressions seems to have suffered since the upgrade.
    Role on IOS 8.0.1...

    Hey kassburn,
Thanks for the question. I understand you are experiencing issues with Wi-Fi connectivity on your iPad mini. The following resource may help to resolve your issue:
iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
    1. Be sure you're in range of your Wi-Fi router (access point).
    2. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your W-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.
    3. Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and cable or DSL modem are connected to power, turned on, and connected to the Internet. If not, refer to your network administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for assistance.
    4. Restart your iOS device.
    5. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
    6. Tap  and Forget this Network.
    7. Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one.
    8. Turn your Wi-Fi router off and on. If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
    9. Update your device to the latest version of software.
    10. Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.
