Ipad Mini Gambling Blocker

I would be really grateful if anyone has any ideas how to block all gambling/betting content on an Ipad Mini.
I have researched the internet and the IStore for software and Apps, and found it really difficult to find software that is suitable.
What I have found so far is the following:
Bluecoat K9 web protection software is brilliant, but you have to have a second party set it up for you. It works slightly differently on the IPad because it installs its own browser, which works successfully, but this does not stop you installing other browsers to access gambling sites.
Betfilter is only available for Windows.
Gamblock is only available for Android devices.
Cyberpatrol is only available for Windows.
NetNanny browser looks like a possibility, but there is a lot of changing of settings.....eg. restricting Safari/installation of other software/apps etc (not ideal if you want to install other non gambling related apps!)
AVG Safe Browser might be the same as Netnanny...not sure...
I would be so grateful if anyone has any ideas.........thank you in advance.

Photostream on iPad mini keyboard blocks comments section

When commenting on a photo on Photostream or Facebook, the keyboard blocks where you are writing. This means you can't see what you are typing and also makes it difficult to fix any mistakes.
Also, there is no option on this form to submit it as an iPad Mini issue in the product drop down menu.

First off it's not a task bar, it's a recently used App bar. Wether an App can run in the background, suspend itself, just hang around in memory or kills itself on exit they still show up in what you refer to as the Task Bar.
This suggestion should have been negated by the line "No, removing App icons/stubs from the resently run Apps bar does not release all memory used by [an] App".
Your second idea was covered in the line "Yes, I have [the same problem] with newly boot[ed] device".
Ok, I left out a few words, but surely if you feel qualified to provide answers you should have been able to infer entened information.
Based on the complete text why would think these basic solutions would have been missed. Neither of these suggestion are solutions, this would be like call ing your car manufacture with the problem, "I drive my car for about 15 minutes and then it stalls, after I roll to stop and wait about 2 minutes it will restart again" and thier answers is "Stop driving after 14 minutes, turn your care off, wait 10 seconds and restart your car".

Does your ipad mini keyboard block your view in notes?

Notes in iPad mini the keyboard gets in the way so I can't see what I'm typing. Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks Walnutree, this fixed an annoyance I had for months and I had no clue what to do about it.
Fact of the matter remains, I say to iOS developers hoping they read this post, that this is a dorky and unnecessary bug. I think the bug is: 'locked dock keyboard setting is default at iOS8 upgrade' so now you guys don't dare to auto-fix this anymore because you can't tell which people set this deiberately and which people got an unwanted default setting. But you can change the keyboard icon because there is no sign anywhere that my keyboard is in lock mode. Details matter, people.
This leaves the other burning question mark: why on earth would anyone not want to see if the typing went ok?

IPad mini blocked on apple logo

My iPad mini is blocked on the logo and starts for a brief moment and shuts down alone and the same cycle recommence. I was able to shut It down completely by pressing the shut down button + home button but when I re start my iPad the same problem occurs . Please note that I have not jailbreak it I am a simple user and have few apps. Many thanks for your advices !

Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times.

Have you charged ipad Try a Reboot press & hold power button & menu button hold both down until you see Apple Logo You may need to do this more than once. Bsydd uk

An odd message? Is this on your home network? Could try at a library.

Try this now.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

TS1398 I have an iPad mini, because of my work network firewalls I am not able to use the airprint function to print. I was told you can direct connect to a printer. I am not sure how as I have not seen any cables for a lightning connection to a printer c

I have an iPad mini, I am connected to my work wireless connection. My printer also is on the same wireless network, however I am not able to print to my airprint enabled printer through this wireless connection. Is there a way to direct connect to the printer via a cable ?
I am missing something here on the connection. I am thinking possibly a firewall here at work will not allow me to use the airprint function. Help ?

There is no support for wired printing.
It is probably a firewall issue, possibly where all inbound communications are blocked. Since you're at work, I'd call your work IT department and find out from them what you can/can't do.

Ipad mini 3 can't sync with microsoft exchange email (iphone 6 can)

I have an iPhone 6 and iPad mini 3 (verizon). Both are set up the exact same. At work, I am able access Microsoft Exchange email using the iPhone mail app with wifi. (I work underground and have no access to cell service) However, the iPad Mini will not allow me to access my email over wifi using the mail app.
Here is the tricky part. 1)wifi works perfectly on the iPad Mini for all other functions (safari, other apps, etc.). 2)when I get home (or anywhere else) the iPad mini is able to access my work email without a problem. I am not using my cellular connectivity at home, so it has nothing to do with that.
Nobody at work seems to be able to figure it out. Is it a MAC address issue, IP address or a blocked port? Help me please!
All passwords and other settings are the same on the iPhone and iPad. Also, this is not a gmail exchange account. I already know that gmail does not support new exchange accounts. This is a work hosted email.

Here is what I gather from my reading:
-- delete you exchange account then re-configure. Shakes things up.
-- reboot device.
-- re-install from backup.
-- use microsoft outlook for ipad. ( some business do not allow. check. Why? caches info on amazon cloud. ) You should try as a trial at least.
2)when I get home (or anywhere else) the iPad mini is able to access my work email without a problem.
VPN vs no VPN? Would seem there is a diff here.
Re-boot ipad.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears, then drag the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears. page 128 iPad user manual.
force power down if the above give you trouble.
Hold down both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button. Ten seconds or more. Hold until the Apple logo appears.

Looking for a "kid mode" on iPad Mini

I have an iPad Mini that I purchased for my work. When I get home at the end of the day, I'd like to be able to hand it over to my 4 year old to let him play some educational games or watch kid shows on Netflix. However, I don't want him to be able to go into the web browser, look at my calendar, email, Google Drive, etc. (Really, I don't need my 4 year old rearranging my schedule.) I've read about many apps that will lock down a folder with a password. However, that takes too much time when I'm using the iPad for work, because I would have to continuously unlock and open up that folder to get to my work stuff. I would prefer something like "Restricted Mode" in the Settings, but I'd like it to also restrict specific apps, like Google Drive. This lets me leave the iPad in unrestricted mode - without the constant passwords, while I'm working, and lets me put it into a password protected mode, while the little one has the iPad. Is there an app or a setting that does something like this (again, it needs to block specific apps, like Google Drive)? Another option would be something that allows multiple users with different home screens and settings.

The short and simple answer to your question is that there is no way to lockdown specific apps on the iPad. You are limited to using whatever restrictions are available in the settings to block whatever you can block in there. Using restrictions requires a password to get into and out of it as well.
There is no setting for multiple users either on the iPad. It wasn't designed for multiple users and it still does not allow for multiple user accounts. Leave feedback with Apple if you like.

I am not computer literate and I just got a ipad for my birthday. I can block out advertising and other spam type of emails on my computer but am at a loss on how to do that on the ipad (mini). Can somebody advise if, and how to, as the manual does not appear to cover this issue or if it does, I fail to understand it.

The filtering is done on the Mail server and not on the iPad.

Ipad Mini :Lightning /HDMI Video Out Not working

I just tried a new Apple Ipad/IPhone AV HDMI/ Lightning adapter to try and play videos to my TV/Monitors thru their HDMI Port.
The Ipad Mini recognized it was plugged in and notified me it was playing thru my TV.
But I got no audio/video thru the TV and no indication it was getting a signal thru the adapter.
What am I doing wrong?
The HDMI input in my Flatscreen HD TV shows my Mac Mini screen perfectly and any videos I have thru it.
Bad adapter, bad HDMI cable, operator error?
What is the system NOT playing content?
The $49.00 adapter should work flawlessly at this price point, imho.

Took a trip to the Genius Bar and about 2 minutes to correct: The Dynex HDMI Cable from Best Buy didn't work. The Apple one works fine.
Now I find my Movie Download from Comcast On Demand won't play thru the adapter. The Movie plays fine on the Mini, but I get a screen warning it's being blocked by Apples' Relationship with Starz. Funny, Comcast says it works fine. Another example of Apple forcing me to use the I-Tunes store on their products if I want to see it on their Hardware? If I pay for the rights thru Comcast, and they don't limit my Hardware, is it right for a Computer Maker too? After the E-Books price fixing probe...are these kinds of issues next?
