IPad Mini left in cold car
I left my iPad Mini in the car over night and it was 27 degree F. I brought it in and plugged it in to charge it, only at 40%. I was using it with no problems checking email and looking at photos. I had to wipe the screen off due to condensation. I put it aside and came back a hour later and it was shut off completely. I tried to wake it up and then tried to turn it on...nothing. I put it close to a heat vent to see if it was the condensation issue, but that didn't do any good. I think it might be shot unless someone knows of a fix.

Reset your device.
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

Ipad Mini cracked in the car during a cold day in Canada
Hello everyone, thank you for taking the time to look at this question. My Ipad Mini is about six months old and it recently has cracked. There are two hairline cracks on the top right and bottom left of the screen. No one has dropped it, and it has never been roughly used. The screen is fully functional, but those cracks are about two inches long. The only thing I can come up with is that it probably cracked in the car or while carrying it in my bag due to the extreme cold that my area has been experiences. It has six months left on the warranty, but I don't have Applecare. Will apple replace my product? I've never had anything crack because of the cold, so it might be a weird case to explain. I want to walk into an apple store, but I thought I'd ask the community if anyone has had any of the same problems as me. Thanks again
You are going to have to take it into Apple so they can examine it. Only they can tell whether or not it will be replaced.

Yes, they have slightly different colors, just like the iPad Air and the Retina Mini will differ.

If your car supports A2DP (stereo Bluetooth) you need to put the car in pairing mode then go into Bluetooth on the Nano and pair them.

If you activated Find My Phone before it was lost or stolen, you can track it only if Wi-Fi is enabled on the device. Left the iPad outside for 10 mins in the cold.
I use my ipad to help me learn the constellations and help tell me what interesting object I just found is, and in the process of pulling in all of my astronomy gear I left my ipad outside, and its cold outside, it may have collected a bit of dew at least on the outside, either that or it's just got frigid. I haven't messed it up have I?

I need to reprogram the delete and enter key to the left side of a external keyboard for the ipad mini. I don't need the caps/lock or ctrl key. Due to a brain injury my daughter can only use her left hand to type. She also uses a text to speech app to verbalize all of her needs since her speech isn't intelligible any longer either. And her vision was significantly affected also, so the keyboard has to be mounted about 6 inches from her face. So to reach across the keyboard with her left hand to the right side delete and enter button is physically difficult and causes typing errors, which cause people to not understand what shes trying to say.
The best keyboard so far is the Zagg folio mini. I just had to make stickers to enlarge the letters on the key buttons.
Does anyone know how I can reprogram these two keys? Or where I can buy a wireless mini keyboard for Ipad made for lefthanders with these two functions on the left side. I have searched for days and days. It's sooooo important to me that she be able to contribute her voice again. Imagine if you got in a car accident and couldn't speak clearly any longer, but understood everything still. Thanks for any help and suggestions you all take the time to share with me. I really appreciate the kindness of strangers to help me help my daughter.

Can somebody help me figure this out? So before a road trip I rented a movie on my Ipad mini. The movie fully loaded before I left. It downloaded under wifi. Now that I'm in the car I tried to watch the movie but it isn't working. When I press play an error message pops up saying "could not load movie" can I not watch it with our wifi? What's going on? What can I do to watch the movie?

My iPad mini says to connect to iTunes, and I try to restore it, but after its done extracting a message comes up saying that device is not found, is there anyway i can fix this? I don't care if i don't get my stuff back, i just want my iPad restored to its starting settings.
If everything else that you try fails, I would try using another computer. Since you don't care about saving any data, any computer that is running the latest version of iTunes might be able to restore the iPad. You could make an appointment at an Apple Store Genius Bar and they can do it for you.
If that isn't feasible for you, try using a different cable, a different USB port. reboot the computer, and reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen. Then try again. -
How do you unlock a disabled ipad mini? I have my notes in Notability and I don't want to lose them. I know my passcode but I left my keyboard on and it disabled it.

My ipad mini is cracked in the bottom left corner of the screen and their is a thick black line with smaller coloured lines within it, is their anything I can do to fix it?

No audio from iPad Mini over Pioneer AVH-P2400BT car stereo
I purchased a Pioneer AVH-P2400BT in December and had it professionally installed. I use my iPhone 4s (iOS 6.1) with the Pioneer CD-IU51V cable to listen to music daily in the car. All works great! My problem is is that I also have an iPad Mini (iOS 6.0.2) that just will not play any sound on this stereo. I plug the Pioneer CD-IU51v cable into the lightning to Apple 30-pin adapter then plug that into the iPad Mini. It charges the iPad Mini, I have full functionality over apps etc on the iPad itself (not on the stereo) but no sound will come out of the stereo whatsoever. I uplug the cable and the iPad has sound. iPhone works fine... just the iPad Mini. Thoughts?

i dropped my ipad mini and the left side got dented .. so the volume buttons and the mute is not working anymore .... and when i am playing games the volume automatically goes up... i still have warranty .. so does apple replace a new one?
