IPad mini missing Outbox

I am running iPad mini on iOS 6.0.2
When I send an email without a network connection I would normally expect the message to be saved in my outbox however no outbox displays at all, no notification is provided to say that the email has not sent, it is not in my sent items and its not in my drafts. This seems to be happening with all email I try to send (replies or new)
I have set up multiple accounts to test if this is just a problem with Exchange but it also happens when I try to send from my Gmail account.
This is an absolutely critical issue as I am now having to double check messages have sent succesfully.

Ok, I read somewhere else to reset by holding down home and the power button. This has resolved the issue above. However it would be good to figure out why this was happening in the first place. FYI the emails I had originally sent were lost and did not show up in the outbox after doing the reset.
Hopefully this helps others who are experiencing similar issues however I would still like to hear back from Apple on this.

  • IPad mini missing apps

Just purchased iPad mini and all my paid for iPad and iPhone apps are missing from the update
They are listed in the App Store but have a price
Do I need to pay again?
For example I have pages numbers and keynote on an iPad 1 iPhone 4 4s and 5

You need to have the same Apple ID.
iPad > App Store > Updates > Purchases > re-download here for free.
Or connect and select iPad in iTunes > Apps > select apps and do a sync.

  • IPad mini missing App Store and safari icons after update

I just recently got a iPad min and let it do the update to 7.0.3 iOS and after it ran the App Store and safari icons are missing?

Safari should be in the Dock.
    There's only one Safari app.

  • Ipad mini missing ipod application

I have a new ipad mini2. I am trying to set up sharing to use music files on my server. The instructions indicate to open the Ipod application in Settings (just below the Safari icon). I don't have that icon and can't seem to get either the Music app or the iTunes store to offer a search for my Library.
How do I get the Ipod application baqck? Or if it is not what should be used, how do I view the network to see/add to the Library?

It seems I was looking at an old setup document.
As you described, once I turned on iTunes in a PC and enabled sharing, the Shared icon appears in Music app on the iPad Mini. A reboot was required to display the PC's library content. Thanks for your help.
The Mini now shows the library of the PC and correctly plays a song on the Mini's speakers. I even tried using the Apple Remote app. It also displays the PC's library and initiates sound on the PC.
    My ultimate objectives:
    1. Have the Mini access the music files on my Seagate Central NAS (that has an iTunes server feature) without having to have a PC on.
    2. Have the Mini initiate music and output to the Airport Express and play sound through the attached stereo:
         - I believe that with the Airport Express set to be on the same network as the Home, the Music app on the Mini (also connected to the same network) will detect an Airplay device and stream to it with no problem.
    3. Initiate an Internet music channel on the Mini and have it stream to the Airport Express.
         - I believe this just requires the pieces in 2. plus a streaming app like TuneIn

  • Ipad Mini Missing ITunes

Okay so I bought my wife an Ipad Mini a few months back 16gb. She never uses the iTunes app, but wanted to use it today. After looking and looking, we could not find the iTunes app anywhere. We checked and checked and found nothing. I went to the search bar and typed in "iTunes" and nothing appears. I have my own iPad Mini and I do use the iTunes app. So when I search iTunes, the app will show on my iPad. For some reason hers doesn't have it. Her iPad Mini is NOT Jail Broken. She has IOS 6.1.3.

You must have enabled restriction on iTune
    Settings>General>Restrictions>iTunes

  • I'm trying to move a folder full of "web archive" files to my IPad Mini. It says device missing services. Any ideas?

Hey all! Recently got an IPad Mini. Already have a Macbook. I have a folder full of songs(lyrics and chords) on the Mac. The file type inside the folder are all "Web Archive". I am trying to transfer this folder to my Mini, via Bluetooth. It won't allow me to transfer, it says "device missing services"? I have no idea what this means. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

You can't transfer files to another device using bluetooth.
I'm not really sure you can transfer web archives from mac to iOS device using itunes or icloud.  Remember, on an iOS device, any file has to belong to an app.  The device does not have a file system like the mac where you can move files into any folder you want.

  • Sci-15c purchased app survived the upgrade to ios 6.1.2 on ipad3 and iphone 4s, but missing on ipad mini.  App store doesn't show app and it doesn't appear on my purchases.  Whats the point of icloud and the app store?  Help please.

Why is the excellent hp-15c emulator, sci-15c, which I purchased years ago, missing from my ios upgraded ipad and not shown in my purchased apps nor in the store?
The app did get properly reatored to my other ipad 2 and 3 and iphone 4s
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Check iTunes on the computer you normally sync with. The app might still be there and you could sync it back onto your iPad mini. Then see if it still works on the most recent iPads.

  • Messages stuck in Outbox of iPad Mini

Can't send messages using Yahoo on iPad Mini, they get stuck in Outbox. Can't delete messages in Outbox either. Please help, thanks.

Why did you post this in the category "Apple Branded iPod accessories"?!?
Try reviewing your outbox data, SMTP, IMAP, POP3, whatever you are using, you might want to look up Yahoo for more detail.

  • IPAD mini - emails going to outbox for 2 weeks - I need to send them

I have just spent three hours trying to pinpoint problem I have had with my iPAD mini for about two weeks - - 15 messages sitting there in outbox - - I get that smtp.verizon.net - which I understand is correct.  It does seem to be affected by any other outgoing mail that is direct to vendor - This was bought while grandson is in hospital for a lengthy time - but except for GPS it is too much of a pain too use.  I start an email   to Apple on it - and it flips off - - I have both the wi-fi and cellular to assure I would have connection at all times.  I did not anticipate the ipad mini having nerve attacks - I do wonder if Verizon has started something new  in their system - well I started at 9:00 a.m. it is almost 1:00 p.m.

I believe that your post could use a bit of clarification. But check your outgoing mail server setting and make sure that you password and username have been entered in there even if it says that it is optional for you.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct.

  • I'm trying to decide whether to buy ipad or cheaper tablet.  What is retina display and what is diff betw ipad and mini with only wifi? What is mini missing?

I'm trying to decide on tablet to buy -- what is the difference between mini and ipad?  What is retinal display?  Why do some have wifi only and some have wifi cellular?  Why would I need cellular?
I keep hearing that apple computers don't pick up viruses like pc (of which I have had my fair share) so that is why I am considering -- but there are some really attractive deals for cheaper tablets.

A simple answer to a loaded question?  Not here!
    1.     For starters, I can't recommend the newest iPad AIr or iPad Mini.  The previous versions worked perfectly though if you want to go the Apple route.  That alone will save you a few bucks.  Best Buy undercuts Apple prices by a few $$ and has bonus sales around this time of year.
    2.   You get what you pay for.  I like the Samsung Galaxy Tabs a lot.  Good hardware and software.  App store has plenty to offer.  You also have size options like you do with Apple.   Since I have the Galaxy S3 phone, the Galaxy tabs are very familiar.  The Surface (smaller one) is big for a tablet, it works great, but is subject to the frailties that plague PCs to some degree.   I don't like the keyboard, but do like the kickstand.   I don't know about the availability of Apps for the Surface, I think it may be a major downside to the device.  The Surface is not cheaper than iPad either.  As for the cheaper Tablets, they will be in the landfill before Apple introduces a new gadget (that's pretty often....)   The Kindle is still primarily, an eReader.
    3.   Wifi or wifi and cellular - If you have a smart phone and can tether a tablet, you don't need cellular on the tablet.  With more places offering free hot spots, wifi is more than adequate. ( I use very little cellular on my mini)
    4.    iTunes and the App store;  I will start by saying I am cheap.  If the App isn't free, it has to be really valuable to me or I won't buy it.  I paid for Pages on my iPad 2 years ago and I bought a password wallet that syncs on all my devices on all platforms.  Aside from that I buy music to add to the CDs I imported to iTunes.  If you don't like iTunes and don't want to use it, keep looking at android tablets.
    5.    ios 7 - Never has Apple made such a big deal and been so poorly prepared to introduce a new ios.  It has devoted Apple heads steamed.  I count myself one and have had no problems with my devices, educated user I hope, or just really lucky.
    6.    I really USE my tablet.  I use it for work, for financial management and communications.  I rarely have to resort to the desktop as almost everything is possible on the iPad.  I love it's portability!  Documents and data flow back and forth with the cloud I never worry about losing anything or finding anything.  Photos download automatically from my Android smart phone with Dropbox App and are instantly available to load on all devices.
    7.    If you are a big PC hacker type, the switch to ios is culture shock.  The first time on the new iMac I was at my wits end trying to navigate.  I only had to stop working so hard and it all fell into place.
    My personal experience:
I have the iPad 2, (wifi only) and the first mini (with 4G LTE) and I had a 4th generation iPod touch and now have a 5th Gen iPod touch (which I really like a lot).  My son has an iPhone 4S and the iPad with retina display.  Both my sons have had iPods through the years.
My 50 year old eyes prefer the bigger screen of iPad 2 and typing is much easier.  But I love the portability of the smaller tablet, so one for home, one for the road.  Thanks to iCloud what ever is on one is also on the other, documents, data, contacts, etc.   Retina display, my son has it, I don't, I can't say I miss it.  It does make pictures look better, if you are a photo person, the retina display is worth it.
I also have transitioned from PC to Apple completely, I bought an iMac 4 years ago and it is as fast as it was on day one, no crashes, repairs, viruses.  I just bought a Mac Mini and I also use Apple Airport extreme for router and I have an Apple TV (the only disappointment, I prefer the Roku 2)
I'm sure that was more than you asked for.....

  • Missing contacts on my iPad mini

    Hello,
I recently got a new iPad mini. After setting it up, I logged in to my iCloud account. To my surprise, some of the contacts from my iPhone appeared on my iPad, but some didn't. I backed up my iPhone again to iCloud, and then downloaded the contacts again from iCloud on my iPad, but nothing has changed.
Anyone heard of the problem and knows how to fix it?
    Thanks in advance.

I also checked on iCloud.com, and the contacts that were missing on my iPad were missing on iCloud.com as well.

Where did you purchase the iPad from?
If FaceTime is not available in Settings: Note that FaceTime may not be available on devices purchased or used in certain countries, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

I updated the software on my iPad mini and now the FaceTime app is missing. How do I restore it?, I updated the software on my iPad mini and now the FaceTime app is missing. How do I restore it?

Check settings an make sure FaceTime is turned on and addresses are configured  (Settings app > FaceTime)
Check all of your home screens and folders. It could have been inadvertantly moved (you can also use Spotlight search to check fior it: Swipe down form the home screen. This will also let you know it it is in a folder)

  • IPad mini is missing emails

    Hi
I've recently purchased an iPad mini and linked it to two (UK) email accounts; hotmail & talktalk. Inboxes appear fine and update correctly but other sub-folders I've created in both email accounts are empty ... the folders are there but there's no mail in them, even though when viewed on a PC there a multiple emails in there. Anyone have any ideas as to how I can fix this?
    Thanks
    Matt

Hi...I had the same problem and found that you need to check in :
SETTINGS -  MAIL, CONTACTS and CALENDARS - DEFAULT ACCOUNT -  this is the email account you want to use (you can only use one account at a time for emails as default)
    Then go to -
ACCOUNTS at the top - Select your chosen email account and then set MAIL DAYS TO SYNCH  - to -
NO LIMIT  and include all the folders you want to synch under -
MAIL FOLDERS TO PUSH - by ticking against each folder.
Then hey presto it resynchs and all the folders reveal the missing emails...!  It worked for me...
    Simples!!
    Cheers
    Steve
