OK, I am trying to figure out exactly what the specifications are on my iPad Mini. I don't know why it has to be so hard to find this information out. This is the model I have.

But when I try to find info on the MM Model on the Apple Site, they don't even mention model numbers like this. Here's what's on the ID page: People ask me if it's Retina Display and I don't know.

Either will work fine in Central Asia as loge ad the carries support GSM (almost all do).
One of the iPads will only work with the AT&T GSM) network if you are in the USA and the Other with the Virizon network (uses CDMA, not GSM/SIM) if you are in the USA

HT4437 AirPlay icon is not avilable in iPad Mini Model A1454 iOS 7.1.1.. Any recommendation?

I cannot find, it is not available , the icon for AirPlay in my iPad Mini Model A1454, with iOS 7.1.1
I have followed all the instructions in Apple web site without any result, can somebody help me to resolve this problem or understand what is wrong?

it is there, but will only show up if it sees another airplay device active on the same wifi network, using the same apple id, and airplay / home sharing is turned on on all the devices.
If it is not showing up (best place to see it is in control center - (swipe up)), the there is something amiss with the network sign ins.
reboot everything, including the router. recheck the settings on everything, and make sure home sharing is tuened on on the pc/Mac

Your iPad is not a cellular telephone. The cellular connection is a data-only connection.
You can use a third-party app like Skype to make phone calls.

I just bought an new ipad mini with wifi and cellular. Is there any way to send text messages to people and contacts that do not have iphones such as friends with blackberrys or a samsung galaxy smartphone from this ipad. Everytime I try to send a message to a person that does not have an Apple product ( Iphone or Ipad ) it comes up saying contact is not registered for iMessage and wont send it. I can only send them a message from my iPhone 4 instead. Do I have to install a new App from the App store to send these non iMessage cell users a message?

If she is receiving your messages - then you must have somehow setup the iPad to use your iPhone number or your email address on her new iPad. How you did that is beyond me unless you set up her new Mini for her and used your Apple ID on it.
On her iPad got to - Settings>Messages>Send and Receive at>You can be reached by iMessages at>uncheck your phone number or email address of that is what is being used for the contact number.

I'm confused about buying used smart cases for iPad mini 1, 2, and 3.

I'm trying to buy used smart covers for the iPad mini 1, 2, and 3 but I'm not sure which smart cover versions will fit which mini.
So far, in pink, I've been able to find MGNN2ZM/A and MF061ZM/A. But I want all the other colors too.
MacMall.com says MGNN2ZM/A is compatible with iPad mini 1, 2, and 3 and MF061ZM/A is compatible with iPad mini 1 and 2. (Apple doesn't provide the part numbers on their web page)
Basically, I could really use a list of iPad mini, iPad and iPad Air accessories' parts numbers, and the device/cover compatibilities, if such a list exists.
Eventually, I want to buy smart covers in every color for iPad 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (Air), and 6 (Air 2).

iOS device backups are stored in your iTunes library.
Move your iTunes library to an external drive.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. If you did not do step 4 properly, start all over again.

If the reset doesn't work, you may have to force iPad into Recovery Mode:
1. Turn off iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, slide to turn off.
2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune (make sure you have the newest version of iTune)
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad
