Hi,
I understand the Apple is stating the iPad Mini pre-orders on the 26th of october.
Does that mean, at midnight the Apple store will start taking orders ?
Really curious to know, as I'm overseas returning to SG on monday and I want to submit my pre-order asap.

No time is given when they will start taking pre-orders though.

Pre-order delivery dates are depenant on supply chain and carrier schedules. If that is the date Apple has given you for delivery, then yes, you should, but it isn't an absolute guarantee.

When is the iPad Mini going to be available in Best Buy stores?

I live in the Boston area and it appears right now that the only place to get the Mini is through Apple's website for in-Apple Store pickup the next day. I have called a few BB's in the area and not only don't they have any, they have no clue when they are getting any. Any info wo uld be great. Thanks

Yes, it will now always show that you purchased it, but with it deleted from ipad, when yu click the icon to download again, it will download the latest versioon available from the app store.
You cannot delete what is in the app store. nor can you erase your previous history of purchasing the app.

You can't open it meaning it does not launch when you tap on the app icon? If that's what's happening try this and then see if Safari will launch.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and Data.
Now close Safari. To close Safari, drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to Safari and then swipe "up" on the Safari thumbnail app to close it.
Now reboot the iPad. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If Safari does launch and this isn't what you are experiencing - you need to explain in more detail what is going on.

IPad 2 pre-order.

I called 3 of my local stores in MD. Columbia and others.
On march 12th, customer can pay 100 dollars deposit to pre-order iPad 2. -Best buy corporate website-
Three of those stores said like... no.
Some one at corporate office needs to call my three stores and find out. If you guys are taking pre-orders, and somehow these reps just did not tell me the right information. I would be angry.

The Best Buy I went to in Staten Island, NY took my pre-order (after going through three managers - luckily that just meant I was the first person on the list), but note that not all stores are taking it. They may be reserving this for high traffic areas, NY, LA, etc. Since there seemed to be ample supply at several small market stores but nowhere near enough in the big metro areas. Just my two cents though.

Want to know if i could bring the ipad i pre-ordered from a retailer for engraving in any nearby apple center

is there anyone who knows if i can take my pre-ordered ipad to apple center for engraving - the retailer doesn't offer this free service... but it was too late when i saw it online.

As neat as an engraved pad would be, for the first couple of hours, unless you are nuts, you will park it in a full case, and never see the engraving. Until you take it out of the case to sell it to get the new one, and realize it is worth less because of the engraving. Maybe your subconscious made a better choice for you.....

If your iPad mini is behaving unexpectedly, I recommend restarting or resetting it:
Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

If you are still experiencing the same issue, I recommend resetting all settings next:

What's the word on in-store preorders for the iPad Air (and the iPad Mini w/Retina for that matter) at Best Buy? You guys just taking names in a book again for a $50 gift card? Let the rumors begin!

I take that back! I've just been informed that we plan to launch the iPad Air on November 1st at more than 1,400 Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores, as well as on Bestbuy.com. The iPad Mini w/ Retina display will also be available in-store and online later in November.

I have enough storage on my iPad Mini but still says not enough available

I am trying to download LEGO Batman for the iPad mini and have 2.5G free space. The App state 1.33G to download but I continue to get an error that there is not enough avaiable storage?

The GB size of the download file is the compressed size (like .zip or .dmg). When the file is installed/uncompressed it can be 2-3 times larger.
How much space is used by your Other? You may be able to reduce.

With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. If you sync lots of documents to apps like GoodReader, DropCopy, or anything else that reads external files, your storage use can skyrocket. With iOS 5/6, you can see exactly which applications are taking up the most space. Just head to Settings > General > Usage, and tap the button labeled Show All Apps. The storage section will show you the app and how much storage space it is taking up. Tap on the app name to get a description of the additional storage space being used by the app’s documents and data. You can remove the storage-hogging application and all of its data directly from this screen, or manually remove the data by opening the app. Some applications, especially those designed by Apple, will allow you to remove stored data by swiping from left to right on the item to reveal a Delete button.

Colour line on newer iPad mini comes and goes

My sister has an iPad mini that has thin colour lines in the screen that come and go, but the lines do not appear in screen shots. Any ideas?

With the rate of renewing that Apple does, I better wait before buying the iPad mini. Maybe the next one will already be in a couple of months!

Was pre-ordering the ipod touch 5G better than buying it?

I pre ordered the ipod touch 5th generation in September and i was wondering if i should have waited to buy it in October.

I feel like the price won't really change on them, even on Black Friday they usually are only about 10 dollars cheaper or you get a 10$ giftcard or something. And the reason the wait is so long is because it hasn't been released yet, but you probably know that. Have a nice day.
