IPad mini randomly resets

I bought my iPad mini with retina display yesterday. It randomly resets yesterday and today. When it does reset it shows the apple log then goes to the lock screen. It doesn't happen constantly and I was wondering if it's just some lag or glitch. Please help

Maybe they try to sell you a new device because the error codes indicate hardware problems. You yourself stated that you have restored, reset, reloaded, etc. There isn't much more that you can do than what you have already done. If you restored as new - without loading a backup - and took the device to Apple for evaluation and they deem it to be hardware, then I would take their word for it.
Now having said that, you really provided no details in any context as to what happened when you took the iPad to the Apple Store.

Nope, never jail broke it.  Just randomly started the other day.
Recovery Mode is your last resort per the instructions here.  Also, read this.
If still no joy, make an appointment with the resident "Genius" at the closest Apple Store.

  • IPad mini randomly opens and closes apps, changes pages on book readers

My iPad mini has gone crazy, it randomly opens and closes apps, plays games itself, changes pages whilst reading a book, starts flashing. Tried everything, rebooted the device, updated it always with the latest software update and have reset the iPad as a new IPad with no success. The problem still occurs which is really enjoying. I checked on the Internet and I'm not the only one with an iPad mini with this problem. The iPad is older than one year, what are my chances of resolving this and how?

I have this problem with my PDFs too. I'm using a lot of PDFs from the German RPG "The Dark Eye" (Das schwarze Auge) from their the PDF shop "ulisses ebooks".
However, i recognized that I don't get this random black boxes after a restart of the iPad Air for a long time. But when it starts it's become very frequently.
To remove the black boxes for a single page i can close the book and reopen it or just mark text from the corrupted page. Zoom in removes the black boxes too, but if you zoom out there are visible again.
I also recognzied that this must be a problem if the iPads PDF engine and not from iBooks. I got the same random black boxes in a PDF which I viewd in Safari.
I think that changing the reader will only help if it has its own PDF Engine. Don't know if this possible in iOS.
Perhaps it's some kind of memory leak of the iOS PDF Engine, after this bug apperas only after some time of ussage.

You will need to try to restore your iPad from the same computer that you most recently synced to.
    Read this: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212
If you can't do the restore then you will need to try Recovery Mode.

  • Ipad mini Disabled reset issue

    Hi Guys,
My Nieces Ipad mini is disabled,
When i follow all instructions to Restore, during extracting software 3/4 way through it gives the Locked error on the Ipad mini.
I have removed Itunes from the Pc and ReInstalled also.........
    This is killing my Brain!!
    Any assistance would be grateful,

    Hello Gman0007,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
If you're unable to restore the iPad, then the next step would be to put the device into recovery mode, and restore it that way.  Take a look at the instructions below for step-by-step instructions.  The process should get your niece's iPad mini back to working order.
If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    Cheers,
    Alex H.

  • Why does my IPad Mini randomly play music while i play games

Random music plays while I play games. Does this happen to anyone else?

Sorry there are some typos above, but you should be able to figure out what I'm asking. Let me know if you have tha same problem, know how to fix it, or know if apple is aware of the problem and is adressing it in a future update.

  • Hi I reset my Ipad mini to factory settings and before doing it i deleted my apple Id account which is linked to my ipad .. now I am not allowed to go ahead with thr resetting process aim stuck

    hi
Iam Using Ipad Mini, I reset it toFactory Settings ad now iam not able to go ahead with the reset process for my pad mini. Before performing ipad reset i deleted my apple Id.Please help me with this issue

OK, so he needs to go to Manage your Apple ID, and click on Reset Password for the old Apple ID: Apple - My Apple ID
If he doesn't remember the Security Questions, then he can contact Apple Support and they will reset them for him:
    ACCOUNT SECURITY CONTACT NUMBERS
Once you get the password reset, he can then type in that new password when the prompt comes up, and it should allow him to sign out of his old iCloud account.
    Cheers,

  • My Ipad mini locks itself while i'm still playing..I need some help _

While I'm playing/surfing the net, my ipad mini randomly locks itself, and when I press the home button...it's locked...what was the problem there? Can anyone help me? Coz it's annoying >_<

Locks itself like it goes back to the lock screen and you have to slide the "Slide to Unlock" bar at the bottom of the screen? That is quite strange if that is what it is doing. Try rebooting the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

    5. Release Home button.

  • Ipad mini saves moves made by camera as .mov

Since my Ipad mini was reset to factory settings and updated with the new ios, the videos my ipad mini saves are .mov files and I can not open them. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Sounds like something went wrong. Step one is always a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own.
