Ipad mini to projector

I have a cellular ipad mini. Is it possible to stream the internet from it to a pc laptop and hence to a projector. Thanks

when you say "stream the internet"
do you mean mirror the ipad display on the projector
or use the ipad as an internet connection for the laptop
if you want to mirror the ipad display and desktop to a projector
there are several ways you can do this
apple tv plus air parrot on desktop/laptop machine
or airserver on desktop/laptop machine
apple tv connected to projector will allow you to wirelessly mirror your IOS devices to
the projector, mountain lion has built in mirroring so you can wirelessly mirror your desktop
if you don't have ML air parrot will allow you to mirror your desktop to apple tv
you might need a hdmi to vga adaptor to connect apple tv to your projector
apple tv is hdmi out only
airserver on desktop machine will alow mirroring of IOS and
would need a cabled connection between your desktop/laptop and the projector
if you want to use the internet connection on the ipad for the laptop
enable personal hot spot in setting

Can I connect my iPad mini to a data projector using a lightning to 30-pin adapter connected to a 30-pin to VGA connector? Or will this only work with a lightning to VGA connector?

The lightning to 30 pin adapter does not support video as per the item description in the Apple online store:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD823ZM/A/lightning-to-30-pin-adapter
This adapter lets you connect devices with a Lightning connector to many of your 30-pin accessories.* Supports analog audio output, USB audio, as well as syncing and charging. Video output not supported.
You will need to the Lightning to VGA adapter directly
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD825ZM/A/lightning-to-vga-adapter?fnode=3a
Or the Lightning Digital AV Adapter
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD826ZM/A/lightning-digital-av-adapter
If the projector supports HDMI input.

Will an IPad mini with retina display connect to a digital projector for presentations?

Yes, certainly. Depending on the projector's inputs, you'll need one of these adapters:

If I buy an iPad mini, will I be able run a PowerPoint presentation and send it to a data projector?
    Thanks,

Apple TV would probably work. Ask your Apple Rep. Apple TV should allow you to connect to a projector.

    Hello-
I am trying to project a film from an ipad mini with a vga cable to a projector.  When tested, the film played, but the ipad did not mirror what was being projected, it was a black screen.  I am trying to be able to mirror the devices AND figure out how isolate the window so I can use different menus with the film still playing.
Any one know an app or softward that i can use?
    Thank you!

To move an iPhoto Library to a new machine:
Link the two Macs together: there are several ways to do this: Wireless Network,Firewire Target Disk Mode, Ethernet, or even just copy the Library to an external HD and then on to the new machine...
But however you do choose to link the two machines...
Simply copy the iPhoto Library from the Pictures Folder on the old Machine to the Pictures Folder on the new Machine.
Then hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'
and select the Library that you moved.  That's it.
This moves photos, events, albums, books, keywords, slideshows and everything else.
Your first option didn't work because you imported one Library to another. Every version and thumbnail is imported like a distinct photo, you lose all your Albums, Keywords etc., the link between Original and Previews is destroyed, the non-destructive editing feature is ruined and so on. In summary: it's mess.
Your second option didn't work because you simply referenced her library on the old machine.

  • IPad Mini Keynote Presentations with a Projector?

I give Keynote presentations and would like to connect my ipad mini to a projector, remotely advancing the slides using my iPhone.  What hardware will be required?

    Hi jamiefromoxnard,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
If you have deleted the application and restarted the iPad, you have already done some great troubleshooting. The next step I would suggest in this situation is a reset. The following article will explain how to reset.
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
If the reset doesn’t resolve the situation, you may need to restore your iPad. The following article will provide information for backing up your data and restoring the device.

  • Using an iPad Mini with an HDMI connected projector

I use an iPad Mini with a projector during the seminars I present and have run into a stumbling block with regard to audio output. I am using the Apple Lightning to HDMI adapter with my LCD projector (flawlessly) and the audio from my iPad goes to the projector through the HDMI cable as well. My problem is I would like to use external speakers instead of the one built into the projector. I have tried the headphone jack of the iPad, no luck. I have tried bluetooth connected speakers for the iPad, again it won't work. Has anyone discovered a way to separate the video and audio from an HDMI output to be able to use external speakers? My guess is that the HDMI "assumes" you are using a television (with built in speakers) and not a projector (which has no provision for audio out).

Is this the adapter you are using?
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD826ZM/A/lightning-digital-av-adapter?fnode=3 a
If it is, then you have next to the HDMI socket also a Lightning socket to which you could connect any audio system with a Lightning connector.
You may have a larger choice of audio systems for the old 30-pin connector, but then there is this solution:

  • The real difference between iPad Mini & iPad Mini Retina

I was window-shopping on the Apple-direct store's "refurbished & clearance" web site, and noticed that iPad Mini and iPad Mini with Retina Display are now available for resale there.
If I want to use an iPad Mini for certain functions, such as:
1: checking e-mail and address books while on-the-road
2: using an AppleTV and adaptors to wirelessly give presentations via Airplay to business meetings via HDTVs and projector-screen rigs
3: giving one-on-one image presentations for business/personal discussions using the tablet directly
4: consulting maps, weather forcasts and various light web-browsing
5: dappling in art tablet apps, note-writing, and math (calculator apps)
6: using the iPad as an entertainment device (playing music, watching movies/TV)
... then what is the real difference, functionally, between the iPad Mini and the iPad Mini with Retina Display?

  • IPad mini and Apple TV reviews...

Is anyone using this combination with a projector??? I want to use it in my classroom but have noticed a few posts where people have mentioned the scaling is off. Please let me know if you are using the ipad mini/apple tv/projector combination and if you are having any complications with it!
    Thanks!

To AirPlay video to your Apple TV
    1. Connect your iOS device and Apple TV to the same Wi-Fi network.
    2. Open the Videos on your device.
    3. Locate and tap the AirPlay icon on screen or Control Center.
    4. Select your Apple TV from the list of available devices that appears and begin playback.
Note: Item 1 is very important

  • IPad Mini video to analogue problem

I connect my iPad Mini to my Edirol V4 video mixer via the lightning VGA adapter and a scan converter to make the video signal analogue, but the resulting image is too narrow, like the pixel aspect ratio is wrong. A square will look like a tall rectangle once it reaches my mixer. I use the same method to connect my MacBook Pro via the Thunderbolt output with no problems. Is this an iPad issue, or do I need a better scan converter? The one I've got is this: http://www.avtoolbox.co.uk/avt3155.shtml.
When I connect the iPad Mini directly to my projector via the VGA adapter and VGA cable it all looks fine, so is my scan converter to blame?
I really hope someone knows about this, I know it's a bit... old school and luddite! But until digital HD video mixers come down in price I'm stuck with good old analogue equipment for a good while yet, and I'm certainly not alone.

The camera is fine but when I slide it to video it won't work, those I took before won't play either. Anyone can help me what to do. I appreciate any help.

Can I use  the Lightning Digital AV Adaptor via my ipad mini to show Netflix on my TV?
    Thanks

    Hello brianrice,
From the product page at the Apple store for the Lightning Digital AV Adaptor:
Use the Lightning Digital AV Adapter with your iPad with Retina display, iPad mini, iPhone 5, and iPod touch (5th generation) with Lightning connector. The Lightning Digital AV Adapter supports mirroring of what is displayed on your device screen — including apps, presentations, websites, slideshows, and more — to your HDMI-equipped TV, display, projector, or other compatible display in up to 1080p HD.
It also outputs video content — movies, TV shows, captured video — to your big screen in up to 1080p HD. Simply attach the Lightning Digital AV Adapter to the Lightning connector on your device and then to your TV or projector via an HDMI cable (sold separately).
