IPad mini update apps page blank (os 6.1.3)

My iPad mini currently has 4 apps to update, according to the home page icon. When I go to apps and the update page, it is blank. I've tried a hard reboot. Has anyone else had this happen? Have been keeping all apps up to date without issue until a week ago.

Note: You'll have to look out for apps that need update.

If you are getting the blank app update screen, many, many people are having this problem over the last couple of days. It is a problem that Apple must fix now.
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this will work.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
1. Go to App Store
2. Select Purchased
3. Select All
4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store. Apple needs to fix this. It is a workaround only until then.

What happens when you try?
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

IPad mini mail app display rotation

My iPad mini mail app rotation is locked. No other app or display is affected. How do I unlock? How did it get locked?

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I'm pretty familiar with how my ipad works. There appears to be a legit bug with the software, at least for some users. When I load mail, sometimes it's stuck in one orientation, even if the rest of the ipad apps are able to rotate freely. I don't always notice it because sometimes the ipad is oriented in the same direction as mail, but other times it's not and when you start the mail app, the screen loads upside down. Switch to another app, back to right side up and so on. You have to either turn the ipad over, or kill the mail app by double tapping the home button and ending the program from the list of running apps.
After you do that, the mail app starts to rotate again normally when changing the orientation of the device. No reset is required, by the way, as is posted above - at least on mine. Killing the app alone is enough to 'fix' the problem.
I've seen a number of posts where someone posts the 'fix' as a solution to this issue, but I don't consider it a reasonable resolution. Even if killing the mail app works, the problem just comes back a week or two later, very randomly. So then you end up having to do the 'fix' over and over again whenever the mail app flakes out.
So, I'm wondering when Apple is going to actually fix this issue.

Maybe because you are entering it incorrectly. Passwords are case sensitive. Are you sure that you are typing it correctly?
You could try signing out of your ID and then sign in again and see if that helps. You can sign out at the bottom of the window in the App Store featured tab. Tap on your ID and sign out, then sign in again.

I just recently got a iPad min and let it do the update to 7.0.3 iOS and after it ran the App Store and safari icons are missing?

Safari should be in the Dock.
There's only one Safari app.

You need to have the same Apple ID.
iPad > App Store > Updates > Purchases > re-download here for free.
Or connect and select iPad in iTunes > Apps > select apps and do a sync.

What I am trying to do is very simple, and I am sure I have done it before.
I have an Apple TV (2nd Gen) connected to Wifi Network (Airport Extreme 802.11n) I want to stream content from the itunes library on my macbook pro over the wifi network to the Apple TV. This works no problem, home sharing is set up and I can see the itunes library under 'Computer' on the Apple TV interface. I can use the Apple Remote to scroll through and play content from my itunes. Works no problem.
Now I want to use the remote app on my ipad mini to control the apple tv. Using up to date app (Version 3.01) Again, everything looks like it should work. I have turned on Home Sharing on the remote app settings. It works fine and both my itunes library and Apple TV show up on the interface. I can touch the itunes icon and control the itunes on my computer and play music and video on my computer screen.
Now when I touch the apple tv icon I can't see my itunes library content to play on the apple tv. I see the below image. If I tap on the icon in the bottom left it takes me back to the screen in the first image. What is the strangest thing is that I can control the apple tv using the gestures interface! This isn't what I want though and I want to be able to see the itunes library on the screen of the ipad and play it on the apple tv. You can see in the video on this link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvEpgcE9KCs). This is what I am trying to do and I just don't understand why I don't get the screen seen at 1:25 in the video. Instead I get the screen seen in the below image. Any ideas? I know that the remote app is connecting to the apple TV because I can control it using gestures, just strange I can't see the content on the ipad like in the attached video clip, instead I see the screen in the image below. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

OK, Problem solved. Software on Apple TV was VERY outdated. It had been sitting in the box for over a year and needed an update. Problem solved!

AHHHH, I NEED HELP ASAP!
So I backed up my iPad mini to iCloud, when I updated my iPad to 8.1.3 it deleted everything (my photos, videos, apps, music, etc)! I remembered having my iPad backed up with iCloud so I backed my iPad with iCloud. THIS IS THE PROBLEM… I only got about the first few months of pictures/videos and bits of messages.
I was wondering if there is anyway I could get the rest of the pictures that didn't make it through?
(None of the pictures are in iPhoto)

The Remote app worked consistently until I upgraded my iTunes. Now when I first open on my ipad it will work but on subsequent tries it won’t connect and tells me that I have to turn on home sharing (Which is already turned on). This is using my ipad mini to connect to iTunes on Win 8.1
Very frustrating. I wish I hadn't downloaded the iTunes update!

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive (works the same with an SD card) into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

ERROR 17 ipad mini update IOS 8

I was updating my ipad mini with retina display to the IOS8 . half way trough, the process stoped and there is a black screen with the itunes logo and a cable showing up in The ipad screen . also, there is an "error 17" coming up on my mac. i cannot restore my ipad nor update or have any use to it is just there this is extremly dissapointing and i really need to use my ipad mini

Error 17 is often the result of not being able to connect to the authorization server at Apple when validating an OS update. It occurs after the download and just before the iPad/iPhone connected to iTunes restores the OS software.
If this occurs even though there are no obvious network issues you should check your /etc/hosts file using terminal. i.e bring up the 'terminal' app and type this command:
cat /etc/hosts
If you see any reference to an apple server, such as:
74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
that line needs to be removed or commented out (edit the file and put a # at the start of the line). Don't modify the rest of the file as it is important to the OS during start-up.
Once corrected you should be able to repeat the restore request without encountering the error.
