IPad mini update to 8.0.2 fail

I had update my iPad mini to 8.0.2 with itune, after the backup, my iPad show the red itune icon. After I connect to the itune, it want we to restore the iPad but fail unknown error (3014)
What can I do now?

AHHHH, I NEED HELP ASAP!
So I backed up my iPad mini to iCloud, when I updated my iPad to 8.1.3 it deleted everything (my photos, videos, apps, music, etc)! I remembered having my iPad backed up with iCloud so I backed my iPad with iCloud. THIS IS THE PROBLEM… I only got about the first few months of pictures/videos and bits of messages.
I was wondering if there is anyway I could get the rest of the pictures that didn't make it through?
(None of the pictures are in iPhoto)

ERROR 17 ipad mini update IOS 8

I was updating my ipad mini with retina display to the IOS8 . half way trough, the process stoped and there is a black screen with the itunes logo and a cable showing up in The ipad screen . also, there is an "error 17" coming up on my mac. i cannot restore my ipad nor update or have any use to it is just there this is extremly dissapointing and i really need to use my ipad mini

Error 17 is often the result of not being able to connect to the authorization server at Apple when validating an OS update. It occurs after the download and just before the iPad/iPhone connected to iTunes restores the OS software.
If this occurs even though there are no obvious network issues you should check your /etc/hosts file using terminal. i.e bring up the 'terminal' app and type this command:
cat /etc/hosts
If you see any reference to an apple server, such as:
74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
that line needs to be removed or commented out (edit the file and put a # at the start of the line). Don't modify the rest of the file as it is important to the OS during start-up.
Once corrected you should be able to repeat the restore request without encountering the error.

Brand New-Ipad Mini updated tonight to ISO 7.0.4 wont connect to WIFI now Help!!!

Help please, Ipad mini brand new only two days oldd, has been working fine on WIFI, updated tonight to ISO 7.0.4 and now the WIFI wont connect. I kow it's not the WIFI as my ipad, Iphone and Imac working fine with WIFI. Have tried reset, reset netwoks no luck. Have Hotspot it up to my phone and works fine so it's definaty a propblem with the update. Help please!

Before the IOS 8 update, Apple's offsite file storage system for iWork was called "iCloud". I had dozens of Numbers files stored on this system.
Under the new IOS/Yosemite regime, the offsite file storage system for iWork (and now all kinds of other files, too) is called "iCloud Drive".
When I upgraded my iPad Mini to IOS 8, I selected "Upgrade to iCloud Drive" instead of "Not Now" because I accepted the fact that I would only be able to access my iWork documents on my Mini and the iCloud web interface, but NOT my Macbook (running Mavericks).
But now it looks like my Numbers files were not migrated for some reason. They are not available on my iPad Mini or the iCloud browser interface.
I called my wife at home to have her boot up the MacBook and try to access a few important Numbers files. She was able to open them and save a copy of each of them to the Macbook's local hard drive. So I guess my most urgent problem has been contained (I think I may have access to my Numbers files on my laptop), but it is still an open question why all my Pages files migrated from (the old) "iCloud" to (the new) "iCloud Drive" and my Numbers files didn't.

IPad Mini update error 53 after screen replacement

I have a new iPad mini. Not too long ago it was dropped and the digitizer scattered. I sent it in for repairs but apparently it fell outside of the repair parameters, as it was a little too shattered? hum hum.
So I went about replacing the digitizer myself, and doing so the Touch ID home button was rendered non functional. I was just fine with this as I could use the iPad just fine without it, and I'm ok with a non functional home button. Problem is when you go to update. You can't update at all, and now it seems that because the home button is non functional, it bricked my fairly new $600 iPad mini by going through the update process (which itunes so gracefully asks you to do every time you plug it in now)
What options do I have here? It really seems idiotic that because of a non functional Touch ID sensor home button that you cannot update the software. This is a really poor design decision.

illigal? i downloaded from an authourized site www.imzdl.com & my method of installation is simple via itunes itself. i still dont understand how it worked evading authorization from apple. but it sure did.

IPad mini update apps page blank (os 6.1.3)

My iPad mini currently has 4 apps to update, according to the home page icon. When I go to apps and the update page, it is blank. I've tried a hard reboot. Has anyone else had this happen? Have been keeping all apps up to date without issue until a week ago.

I have a mini ipad and when I go to my update page it is blank. It will not load in order for me to update.

There are countless posts about this. There's a problem at Apple's end and has been so for several days.
However, I have no trouble updating using itunes on my computer and later syncing to my device.

Front and rear cameras not working since i reformatted ipad mini. updated version. checked settings could not find how to activate camera. no icon appears.

i've searched and searched but could not find any answer why front and rear camera's aren't working.
i did a reformat because my id would not accept the password that i've been using. then after the reformat i could not see the icon anymore.
went to settings under photos and camera and could not find a button for the camera.
i do not have facetime. it's gone as well. what do i do?

Look under settings, general, restrictions and see if facetime and the camera have been turned off.

Since update 7.0.4 on iPad mini, apple inc pre fill email

What happened? I let my iPad mini update to v 7.0.4 and since then, using Mail, whenever I beging typing a recipient's email address it auto fills Apple Inc in front of their name.
I have no idea whether to send the email that way or not.
I can't stop it from doing it. I end up manually entering email addresses while battling against Mail as it keeps trying to put Apple Inc in the address field.

You can not restore without using the latest available os, unless hyou have jailbroken your device. Apple does not support downgrades on iops devices. and if jailbroken, your warrenty and support is no longer valid including assistance from this forum.

I open my safari on my Ipad mini (updated) and it comes up alright, but when i type something in and try to search nothing happens.

1. Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data
2. Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple Logo

IPad mini iOS 6.02 cannot connect to Sitecom 300N

I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to connect a new iPad mini, updated to iOS 6.02 to a Sitecom 300N WLR-3000 router. I have done all the obvious things, like resetting the router, etc, but no success whatsoever. In the same house, there are two iPad2 and a MBA from 2009, all of which connect successfully to that router, so the problem seems to be a miscommunication between iPad mini's broadband chip and the chip in the router.
The router's basic settings are:
Mode: AP (choice between AP and WDS)
Band: 2.4GHz (B+G+N)
Channel 11 (you can't set Auto, you have to choose a channel)
The router's advanced settings for wireless are:
Any tips what I can do without damaging the connectivity of the other systems? Maybe anything I can do at the mini's side to make it work? It seems a mismatch between the chipsets to me.

Our school is having a similar problem with the iPads that were updated to iOS6. We don't use a proxy but we have a Sonicwall and the user has to login to the Sonicwall before the device can have Internet access.
Here is what I have found and maybe it will help you. The problem (for us) is that immediately after the iPad is connected to our Wifi it tries to contact the Apple servers in California. This connection is blocked by the firewall because the user has not had the opportunity to login to the firewall. The iPad opens a screen that is not part of Safari to allow the user to log into the firewall but they can't because a pop-up window is needed and this application has no settings to allow pop-ups. Under normal circumstances the user would open Safari and login but if we try to switch to Safari it cancels the connection attempt and disconnects from the Wifi. Obviously, this means we no longer have a connection to our Sonicwall.
The trick I am using to make it work is this. (Keep in mind, we don't normally use proxy settings). I set the http proxy setting for the particular network to AUTO. This causes enough confusion in the iPad that, if I am quick enough, I can open Safari and log into the firewall real quick. Once that is done it will work fine....until the user goes to a different access point.
