among others, i have two friends
1. has an htc one, like me doesnt own a TV, did not sign in with a TV subscription. downloaded the app and was prompted to subscribe for $5.99 for the service. watches every NFL game live on his htc one.
2. used to have a verizon ipad 2nd generation as well as an iphone for which he paid $5.99 each. had comcast, but never signed in with a TV subscription. friend no longer with verizon now.
i think i have spoke with 3 spineless creatures (tech reps) who refused to take ownership of my problem and escalate to try and get this issue resolved. also to have been told that this is not possible without TV subscription by 3 different technicians is quite embarrassing and goes to show how much verizon reps know about their services (advertised by both NFL and verizon wireless), and how eager they are to resolve customer's issues.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

You should be able to connect to that hotspot without issue as an iPad will see it within the Wi-Fi networks and you would not need the cellular model unless you want the iPad to constantly have a data connection.

Placing your device into recovery (DFU) mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.

Well first you need to sync your iPhone 4 with your Mac/PC so that it will transfer all your music, apps, podcasts, etc. Then sync your iPod Touch and the media you selected during the sync should be there on your iPhone. If you have difficulty in transferring media from iPhone to your computer, try softwares like TransCopy. They will help in transferring data from your iphone to your computer. Ok so I have an iPod touch 4th gen and I purchased some music on it. I also have an iPad mini and wanted to download it onto there also. Problem is that no matter how many times I try I can't get my purchased music section to load. I get the big at the top where you can select all or not on this iPad and the alphabet down the left hand side and the little loading thingy appears but nothing ever actually loads no matter how long I wait. It also sometimes just crashes the whole thing and kicks me out the app. Any suggestions? I've tried turning device on and off, it has the latest software iOS 7 and I've tried resetting all the settings already also as well as logging in and out of my Apple ID.

Got an IPad mini for Xmas. My home network runs off a BT Home Hub. I can't get the iPad to recognise or connect to the wifi network despite a strong signal. The device recognises the presence of a BT Network but keeps asking lots of nonsene stuff - like IP address etc etc which it ought to be able to pick up automatically. The BT Network was set up in Janiary 2012. Any suggestions?

i didn't really dare to delete the blue home folders before, just in case everything went wrong, but now i think i have so little space that i can't afford to lose 2.25gb!
one thing that slightly worries me is the fact that the 'proper' library folder (in the home icon) is 2.09gb, whereas the 'wrong' one (from the blue folder forenamesurname) is 2.24gb - this is the one i would be deleting. just seems odd to delete a larger file than the one i presume i'm using.
"Move everything you want to keep out of the blue folders, and then place both of the folders on your desktop. If everything works properly after a few days, delete both folders. If you are asked for your administrator password at any point or if either folder is copied instead of moved when dragged, don't delete that folder."
by 'everything you want to keep', does this include the library folder? 'cause there doesn't seem to be much else, and i'm not sure if deleting the library folder would ruin all my preferences.
i've put both of the folders on the desktop, it didn't ask for the admin password or try to copy them, so i guess that's good news. what kind of things should i be looking out for to act differently?
are the folders not in use now that they are on the desktop?
also if i put them in the trash will they have no effect? i.e. the same as permanently deleting them, so i could put them in the trash as a test.

Hi, I did use my current apple ID to activate the device but I can't see it as one of my devices that are registerd to my ID. I have an iPhone and an iPad 2 that shows when I look on the devices connected to my account. Should I reset anything to do new registration? Ipad mini with broken digitizer - can it be backed up if passcode cannot be entered?

I'm not sure if i entered the right category, I have searched around for questions similar to this but have not been able to find a thread that answers my question. My ipad mini is 1st generation, 4G compatible, 16gb. iOS 7 (as specific as i can get).
I dropped the iPad which shattered the digitizer which means I am unable to to type in the passcode in order to back it up on iTunes. The screen was left undamaged. I have a backup from a week or two before it was dropped but I want to be able to retrieve the photos and garageband files that were made past that point. I am wondering if there is any way of backing up the iPad without a passcode or somehow the passcode could be entered on my computer, ect.
I am planning on bringing the iPad to get the digitizer replaced, but to be on the safe side I would like to have a backup just in case a mistake is made during the repair or if a storage dump is unavoidable.

You could try attaching a bluetooth keyboard to your ipad and typing in the passcode. This assume you have enabled bluetooth on the ipad before.
