IPad Mini won't airplay or mirror

Here are the devices I have.
I have 2 apple TV's. One is a 3rd gen (Using wifi) and the other is a 2nd gen. (connected via ethernet).
I also have 2 iPad minis
1 ipad air 2
2 iphone 6's
Airport Extreme
All the devices will airplay and mirror to the Apple TV gen 3. The iPad Air 2 and both iPhone 6's will Airplay and mirror to the Gen 2 Apple TV.
The problem is, Neither of the iPad minis will Airplay or Mirror to the 2nd Gen Apple TV. I have restarted and restored both iPads and the apple TV 2nd Gen. All software is up to date. Any ideas how to fix?

So I thought I would also try that but that hasn't worked either and now my iPad mini won't charge in a plug or USB and I live really far away from an apple store and I can't get a new charger also because I live far away from the store. So what shall I do?

    When and where was the iPad/charger purchased? It's covered by a 1-year warranty.
    The problem may be the USB cable.

    Problem : IPad Mini connects to iTunes OK, can be seen in iTunes and I can select which movies to sync to it etc.  When I hit the "apply" button after making a change (ie deleting or adding a movie) the sync lasts just a second then the "sync" button remains greyed out, and I can't make them sync.
    IPad Mini ios 8.1 Mac Mini OSX 10.6.8 (latest available version for my mac mini)

    What are you trying to do?
    The Bluetooth is meant for earplug, headset, keyboard, car hands-free set, and speakers.
    You need a 3rd party app to do BT file transfer or other functions between iDevices.

    Reset all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. Your iPad will reboot on its own. You will have to enter all of the device settings again, but no data will be lost.
    I eould not spend a whole lot more time trying to fix this, if the device is really brand new. I would take it back to where you bought it, bring the box, the charger, the cable and your receipt and if they can't get it fixed, return it and get another one.

    If you are getting the blank app update screen, many people are having this problem over the last couple of days.
    According to Fly150 in another discussion, this will work.
    If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
    1. Go to App Store
    2. Select Purchased
    3. Select All
    4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
    5. Select update on the Apps
    This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store. Apple needs to fix this. It is a workaround only until then.

    "7.0.4"?  The current version of iOS is 7.0.6.  Version 7.0.4 can no longer be downloaded or installed.

    Try restarting the iPad by holding down the on/off and the home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo.

    Connect your iPad to your computer and run iTunes. Select your iPad in iTunes and try to run the update there. Updating requires a lot less free space on the iPad when updating through iTunes on a computer because the update files will be downloaded to and extracted on the computer.

    Ipad mini won't power on. I have tried juat now having iPad plugged in last hour. Won't power on. Have tried reset (ie home and power button not once or twice but 3x now for not only 10 sec but up to 15 seconds. ) I have checked power port to make sure clean.     Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

    It is not an Apple product and not supported by Apple.
