IPad no longer Working.

My iPad is no longer working as an attempt to fix a broken screen went wrong and the motherboard was shorted out. I have heard that in Australia you can take a broken iPhone into an Apple store and get it swapped out for a working unit for $200.00. Can I do this with my iPad?

Make sure that you read all of this text that was copied from the link that I referenced at the end of my post. I think this is what you are referring to.
My iPad is not eligible for warranty service. What are my service options?
An iPad that is ineligible for warranty service or not covered by consumer protection laws may be eligible for Out-of-Warranty (OOW) Service. For example, an iPad that has failed due to damage as result of an accident is ineligible for warranty service but may be eligible for OOW service. However, certain damage is ineligible for OOW service, including catastrophic damage, such as the device separating into multiple pieces, and inoperability caused by unauthorised modifications. Please see Apple's Repair Terms and Conditions for further details.
Apple offers two service options for iPads that are not eligible for warranty service and are not covered by consumer protection laws.
Battery Replacement Service
If your iPad requires service only because the battery's ability to hold an electrical charge has diminished, please refer to the Battery Replacement Service information.
Out-of-Warranty Service
If you own an iPad that is ineligible for warranty service but is eligible for Out-of-Warranty (OOW) Service, Apple will replace your iPad with an iPad that is new or equivalent to new in both performance and reliability for the Out-of-Warranty Service fee listed below.
iPad model
Out-of-Warranty Service
iPad mini
A$ 269
iPad, iPad 2,
iPad mini Retina
A$ 309
iPad 3rd, 4th generation,
iPad Air
A$ 369
A A$ 19.95 shipping fee will be added if service is arranged through Apple and requires shipping. All fees are in Australian dollars and include GST. iPad out-of-warranty service may also be available through an Apple Authorized Service Provider. Prices and terms may vary.
Certain damage is ineligible for out-of-warranty service, including catastrophic damage, such as the device separating into multiple pieces, and inoperability caused by unauthorised modifications. However, an iPad that has failed due to contact with liquid may be eligible for out-of-warranty service.
Apple reserves the right to determine whether or not your iPad is eligible for Out-of-Warranty service.

I synced my IPAD 2 to my IMAC and my password on my IPAD no longer works.  My IPAD is disabled for longer and longer after each password I try.  I have tried my IMAC password and also my APple ID password.  Can anybody help?

If you can't remember the passcode that you set on it (which won't be the same as your iTunes or Mac passwords unless you set it the same), then you will need to connect the iPad to the computer that you normally sync to and you should then be able to reset the iPad and re-sync your content to it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212) - you may need to put the iPad into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808

  • IPad no longer working with my HP wireless printer

My HP LaserJet CP1525NW Color printer was working flawlessly with my iPad Air and now no longer works. Any suggestions?

Did you try restarting the iPad or rebooting your router? Maybe either of those would help.

  • Update ipad no longer works

Since th e update a few days ago my IPAD has not worked. I logged into Itunes and the only option I had was to restore to factory settings. I did this thinking that my apple account wolduld have all my apps available later. Now no apps I paid for and cant get email to set up?

Same as mine, My JBL onbeat mini worked fine with Ipad last night and now it says " may not be supported"

  • IPAD: Forced Shutdown During Update. iPad No Longer Working! Help?

I did a force shutdown during the latest ios6 bug fix update and now my ipad will not work at all. iTunes does not reckognise the device when I connect it to my pc via usb. I have tried everything I can think of to have it start but with no success. It just keeps displaying the Apple logo, then flickering, then showing some text data in white, then goes to a blank black screen, then the logo and all over again. It does shutdown but cannot do a startup to the swipe lock page.
It would be hard to believe one could fully kill an ipad so quickly and easily. Please tell me that this is a fixable problem! Any way to get it to start again?
    Thanks!
    Manahen

You will need to restore your iPad to factory from recovery mode and connecting to your computer. Connect your iPad to your computer and hold the home and power button down for 15 to 30 seconds until you see the silver apple. Once you see the silver apple let go of the power button but keep holdng the home button until you see the itunes logo and white usb cord. At this point you should be able to restore in itunes.

  • IPad no longer working with projector and HDMI splitter after iOS 6.0.1 update

I just installed iOS 6.0.1 this morning.  I use the iPad in my business tied into a projector via an HDMI splitter.
My projector was working fine, I installed the new iOS, and now I can't get the projector to recognize the iPad output.  Just giving me a "no source" message.
    Anyone have any ideas?

You can try these suggestions and see if any work for you. The first one is definitely an iOS 6 only suggestion.
Settings>Privacy>Location Services>System Services (swipe to the bottom of the page to find this)>Location Based iAds>Off.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try again.
Even though you are connected to the Internet, it might help if you reboot your router anyway. Unplug it for about 30 seconds and thenlug it in again.

  • Sync iTunes on PC to my iPad no longer working

I used to be able to sync my iTunes library on my PC to my iPad (wifi was a bit problematic at times but USB always worked) but now when I plug in a USB cable I get a warning popup on the PC.  It says the iPad cannot be used because it requires iTunes version 11.1 or later.  The problem is that the key features of iTunes, my reasons for using it apart from syncing, were removed in version 11.  I tried it briefly but I had to downgrade back to 10.7.  So, how do I sync my PC (with iTunes 10.7) with my iPad2 (with iOS 7)?

Having a similar problem. Did you solve this problem?

  • Why does my "home" button on my ipad no longer work?

Why does my home button on my ipad all of the sudden not work at all?

It happens the same to me, sometimes I push the button and I start to push it in all the ways, without releasing it, and it starts to work for a time. There's another thread with home button issues on IOS 6. Regars.

  • Shared photo album on my iPad no longer Working

please can you help me with a new issue I'm having?  I've been using shared photo albums for months but suddenly the shared album I've been using for the month of March is not working properly on my iPad.
I've posted a new photo to the 'March' album but I can only see it on my iPad, not on my iPhone. And none of my invitees can see it either. The album is still there with all the other photos in it, just not the new photo.
IVe ve checked my wifi connection and all is good. Ive disconnected it and reconnected it. I've rebooted the iPad. I've turned off photosharing and turned it back on again. I've closed all the open apps on the iPad.
IVe setup a new album and invited people to it and they've accepted. But they can't see the test photo I posted to the new album either. I can see it there though.
What hat else should I do?
thanks for any help you can give me.

    Hello JimS19,
I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with your iPad. If you are having issues accessing your Shared Albums from your iPad (but not from your other devices), you may want to double-check your iCloud Photo Sharing configuration as outlined in the following articles, just to make sure it hasn't changed:

  • Ipad 1 and iOS5 find my iPad no longer working

Since upgrading to iOS5 my iPad 1 can't be found using "Find my iPad" via iCloud.
The find option is switched on in the settings panel, and location services are also on.
There's no problem with finding my location on the map though, so I don't think it has anything to do with the iPad itself, just how it's communicating with the outside world.
    Any ideas?

There is no legit way to go back at all.
People complain on these forums about each and every single software version ( no exceptions).  Most never have an issue of any sort.
Just as a hospital is full of sick people, this support forum is full of people with issues.  That certainly does not mean that most people are sick or that most have issues with software.

  • Why will the apps on my iPad no longer work?

On most of my apps, when I try to use them, the iPad closes the app and goes back to the "desktop" screen.  This even happens when I try to go into my settings to look at my setups.

Tried this.  No apple logo appeared.  It just went back to the screens showing all my apps and folders.

  • My Ipad no longer connects to the internet

My Ipad no longer works with the internet. I can connect to my 4g wireless wifi but cannot connect to any web page. I have tried shutting down my wifi and have turned the wifi off and on serveral times on the Ipad but I can no longer go to any web page

    Hello GrizRich,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities
I would recommend 2 articles for this, first iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections found here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
    Restart your iOS device.
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you are connected. Then tap > and Forget this Network. Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network again.
Note: You will need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your desired network requires one.
Turn your Wi-Fi router off and then on again2. If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
Update your device to the latest version of software.
And then this section at the bottom if needed:
Unable to access the Internet while connected to Wi-Fi
If you are using a public or commercial network that requires a login or subscription, see this article for more information.
Check to see if you have a self-assigned IP address:
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you are connected. Then tap >.
If your IP address is 169.254.xxx.xxx, see this article.
If you do not have a self-assigned IP address, see if other Wi-Fi devices on your network have Internet access.
If they do not, consult with your network administrator or ISP for further assistance.
If they do, reset network settings on your device by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Note: This will reset all network settings including: previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords, recently used Bluetooth accessories, VPN and APN settings.
And if the device providing the 4G Wifi, then this article I would look at next if the issue persists:
    iOS: Troubleshooting Personal Hotspot
