Ipad not connecting to wifi

I have recenly changed my wifi to sky and I can't connect my ipad. It tells me the password is incorrect. Obviously i have tried several times, both with caps on and off. The password has worked on my iphone, macbook and other phones. I have tried resetting network settings but no help.
Any ideas...?

  • New iPad not connecting to wifi

Just brought a new iPad and done the usual setup as I have had iPhones for the last 4 years and I am constantly getting wifi issues such as it not accepting passwords to my home wifi which is setup fine as I have my iPhone 4 connected to it and it works flawlessly now this iPad is a total different case.
I have tried forgetting the network
    Reset network setting
    Restart iPad
    Changed router password
    Changer router frequency etc
    Change Router name
The only time I can connect to my wifi network is when I am sitting on top of it with my iPad which defeats the object of of WIRELESS.
This is meant to be the latest thing from apple it is a joke
This needs resolving or it will be getting returned
    Regards Adam.

    Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router. Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

  • Ipad not connecting to wifi each time it is turned on

Ipad ver 4 using ATT modem doesn't automatically connect as it used to. IO6 and no issues before. WPA2 security and reentering the password and user name retores the connection. Otherwise the Ipad can't connect unless I do this...

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

  • Ipad not connecting to wifi, "unable to connect"

So i have done everything from turning off and on, network reset, and reseting the entire ipad to factory settings. Nothing has helped. The wierd thing is once I got a airport express, my ipad would only connect to that and nothing else. Or it connects in the apple store or at my school where this is a big network. My wifi recognizes other networks but won't connect to them. This is extremely frustrating because when I want to connect at friends places it doesn't connect, it immediately says "unable to connect", we tried reseting the router, we even tried playing with the frequencies on the router, I've also tried at other places and its the same problem. I've never had a problem with apple products until now. Someone please help me because I don't what else to do. By the way this is a Ipad 3 and I have the latest software update as well.

I have the same issues!! Please apple get this fix soon! It's starting to get really frustrating

  • I updated an iPod touch, an iPad 2, and an iPhone 4 to iOS 6, and all of them now will not connect to WiFi. They all give this wierd 404 error page from Apple and insist that I need to login to the network. Bad job testing the software Apple.

I updated an iPod touch, an iPad 2, and an iPhone 4 to iOS 6, and all of them now will not connect to WiFi. They all give this wierd 404 error page from Apple and insist that I need to login to the network. What's the fix? None of the recommended fixes work in any of these devices. Reset device, reset network, renew lease, etc. None of them work.

    Does the iPod work OK?
Does it charge when connect to the computer?
Does it appear in My Computer?
Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Compare with the iPod that does work/connect.
I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1

iPod touch (3rd generation) features a 3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen multi-touch display and 32 GB or 64 GB flash drive. You can browse the web with Safari and watch YouTube videos with Wi-Fi. You can also search, preview, and buy songs from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store on iPod touch.
The iPod touch (3rd generation) can be distinguished from iPod touch (2nd generation) by looking at the back of the device. In the text below the engraving, look for the model number. iPod touch (2nd generation) is model A1288, and iPod touch (3rd generation) is model A1318.

  • How can anyone see message on a locked iPad mini if it was not connected to wifi?

    Hi,
My new iPad mini wifi was stolen 2 months ago in Spain. It was locked with 4 digit code. I immediatelly locked it through Find my iPhone, commanded erase and added info to call me with my mobile number.
In FMIP it says it's not connected and it's waiting to be erase but today I got a phone call from maroko from guy claiming he bought it and saw the message. i didn't get any icloud emails about my iPad though.
How it's possible he saw that when there is no info in iCloud that it was connected or unlocked? It's wifi only.
is there any way that ipad was connected to wifi without unlocking screen or maybe it was just connected to iTunes without unlocking the devide and that way iPad new it has been locked?
Why it didn't erase itself if it showed the info with mobile number?
    Thanks

If, using an iPad connected to wifi, I made a call to an iPhonxe 4S not connected to wifi using FaceTime, would it cost the person using the iPhone anything?

At your end you will be using your WiFi signal. At the other end the iPhone would be using the 3G cellular signal. The cellular plan would need to be provisioned to allow FaceTime calls over cellular.

  • What does it mean when it said SIM not provisioned , my iPad 3 is not connect with wifi

What does it mean when it said SIM is not provisioned , my ipad3 is not connect to wifi , Please help

Does your iPad 3 have a SIM slot?
Does it have a SIM in it?
Has your SIM been activated by a cellular carrier?
It sounds as if your iPad, which as you say is not connected to WiFi, is trying to connect to the internet but failing.

  • Suddenly today both my iphone and ipad will not connect to wifi.. I have never had any problems before.  Please help.  Should I reset all my settings?  Should I reset network settings?  What should I do?

my iphone and ipad will suddenly not connect to wifi....
    Never had any problems before?
Should are reset all my settings?
Should I reset all network settings?
    Please help!

With any wi-fi network or with your wi-fi network?
If your wi-fi network, try resetting the wireless router and modem. Disconnect the wireless router from the power source followed by disconnecting the modem from the power source. Wait a few minutes followed by re-connecting the modem to the power source and allow the modem to completely reset before re-connecting the wireless router to the power source and allow it to reset with the modem before trying again.

  • HT4623 IPad 2 will not upgrade to IOS.70, keeps saying I am not connected to WIFI when it is connected.  Even tried turning of Advast VPN

I cannot upgrade my IPad 2 with IOS.70, the download appeared to be complete but while it was verifing a "not connected to WIFI" message appeared yet IPad was connected and working.  Not sure what is wrong, even tried to turn off Advast VPN thinking that was the issue but cannot complete upgrade.

try resetting your phone by turning it off and back on again. Also try resetting your network settings under Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

  • What would cause iPad to suddenly not connect to wifi

all of a sudden both iPad and ipad2 will not connect to wifi.  have matched everything up and also reset modem

There have been many reports here of the wifi failing on ipad2's that are running ios8. It has been speculated that ios8 is the culprit but I've not heard anything definitive. Since both of your devices have failed I would check the router first by going somewhere that has free internet or friend or family that has one. Staples and stores like it generally has free internet access if you have something of the sort around your area. It will help to point you in the right direction in telling you if it''s the router or your phones if you don't have luck with basic trouble shooting.  Good luck.

  • Ipad mini does not connect SOME wifi

My iPad mini does not connect some wifi. I tried all instructions like resetting settings, on-off router, manuel configuration but it is still same. I am using same router at my home and with same confiqs, it is connecting there, other iPads, iPhones are also connecting to wifi here, It also connects some other wifi's.
I've read that there is no solution, I have to change it.
Do you have any other idea? Because here-Turkey- it is not easy to do it like USA.

    Some things to try first:

How do I listen to my music on my iPad when I am not connected to wifi?

Describe more in detail what you mean.
Does the player start, look like the music is playing, but your hear nothing?
Does the player say it can't find any music?
Are you trying to use ear buds or the built-in speakers?
The fact that you say you can't play music when not connected to WiFi leads me to believe you have not really synced your iTunes library to your iPad but instead are playing your music from iCloud or from Home Sharing.

You have to sync your music to your iPad, this can be done from a WiFi connection to your iCloud account for those purchased from the iTunes store.  Non-iTunes music has to be synced using iTunes Match, a fee is charged for that premium service.
