I bought Apple Ipad from India last year on 1st November 2012. Now I am in Pittsburgh, PA 15213 and suddenly my Ipad is not getting ON, last night it was working fine, but now its not getting even ON though i Put on charging for 2-3 hours

Try to reset your device:
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

It's no different from the iPad 1 in that regard. When connected to a computer via USB it should charge when sleeping only. Hit the sleep button and leave it for a while to see if that works. It's much slower charging that way than using the actual charger.
Not all USB's are powered, or powered enough, so what the previous poster said could also be the case.

Master reset...? Your device was jailbroken prior to you purchasing the device. The only symbol you should see on reboot is an Apple symbol. Download redsnow... google it! Download the latest version and your IPSW (ipod restore firmware) it has to be the correct version. And the "just boot tethered" should fix your device.
But that's only if you didnt back the device up. If you don't care about any of the data on the ipod then you can simply open itunes navigate to the device and click the restore button. This will restore the ipod firmware and install a fresh copy. Good luck let me know if you have any problems.

Ipad not getting charged

Got an ipad mini 1 month ago.
1. It does not have a preloaded calculator.
2. It does not detect WiFi signals all the time.
3. The most recent problem: it is not getting charged. Tried charging it through the comp, power socket. Not a problem with the lightning cable as it is charging other phones. Kindly assist.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. IPad Not Getting Backed Up-iTunes Library Deleted

I accidently deleted my iTunes Library from my PC. I don't think that can be restored again. However, I still have a couple of apps and games on my iPad and I want to back them up on my PC again. But those apps are not getting backed up/synched now. Please help.

Do you have *Time Machine* enabled? Time Capsule is a wireless, external hard dive.
Go to Time Macine icon in the menu and select *Enter Time Machine*.
Select the Music icon on the left side of the Finder window.
Scroll back in time Machine to when you want to Restore from.
Make sure \Music\iTunes\ folder is selected then click on Restore.
Make sure you select *keep the restored items* if asked.

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If that work you can then do a backup (Settings > iCloud)

Verizon iPad not getting serviced/replaced in india

I randomly made choice of Verizon while purchasing iPad from apple online store while I was in US last month, as choice was immaterial to me as I had to use it in India.
Later on after few days of use it's screen started to blink every at interval of 10s, when I took it to service center the people refused to replace it saying its gsm + CDMA model and they can't replace it in india.
This is very bad on part of apple as it was not mentioned any where on apple online store about such issue. It only mentioned that iPad will work with local sim but not what will happen if there is some hardware issue.

The warranty on the iPad says that service may be restricted to the country of original sale, and that is indeed the case with models that are specific to the CDMA US carriers, Verizon and Sprint. Those models can only be serviced in the US.
Your choices are to send the iPad back to someone you know in the US to take or send it to Apple for service, or call Apple customer relations in the US at 1-800-767-2775 (you will have to use one of the several methods, such as using Skype, for calling a US 800 number from outside of the country) and discussing the matter with them. Posing a complaint here will do you no good, since the only people who will respond are we your fellow users.

I have an ipad with 3g support, all of the sudden it has stopped working in the gym where i used to have no problem. It shows i am connected but nothing is happening (even when i enable 3g) it works elsewhere, any suggestions?

The 3G used by the iPad is the same as on the iPhone. So, if you don't get service on the phone, you shouldn't expect to get it on the iPad. It may not even (probably isn't as there are lots of legal issues involved in jamming) be anything the gym management is doing. Some structures, especially those with thick concrete walls, lots of metal, wiring in the walls, block cell reception. It's a limitation of the technology.

If she had previously registered her Apple ID and created an ICloud account in 'Settings'; then enabled the setting allowing for automatic iCloud back-ups to occur every time her Pad is connected to wi-fi, locked & charging...that's a good start. Even if she did nothing else but insure those regular back-ups occurred without incident,,then she should have all her Camera Roll pics, device settings, saved documents and accounts available in her Cloud. her iCloud account.
Thre's also a more detailed way of detailing the info that should be included in the back-ups. it involves reviewing all the apps & manually giving permission for certain information to be included or left out of the back-ups. If she also did this, then you should be able to restore all info according to,when the last save & back up.
Now, you can just turn on the iPad & it will give you choices for set up, just like it did when it was new. If the iCloud account was set up & used regularly, she can choose the option called something like 'Restore iPad Settings & Info through Wi-Fi, using iCloud information'......something like that. The other two options are sometging like 'Set Up As New', which can be done without connecting to iTunes, the iPad will just not have anything on it as it did before. It will be a clean & new device . The last option is to restore the old settings through iTunes, which you must connect to,a computer to do. If you choosebrestore from wi-fi/!iCloud, it will walk you through the process on-screen.

Not getting PPR, what am I missing?

I have a region on my page and inside that region I have an inputDate field and a treetable. On the inputDate I made a custom value change listener (code below) that I expected to refresh the region and show updated values in the treetable. I first tried defining this bean on my bounded task flow as "request" and then as "session". Both ways it appears to work (I get messages on the weblogic console) but the same data remains in the treetable. What am I missing?

All my settings are the same as on my iPhone, yet I cannot receive messages on my iPad. I can send but not receive.

There lies the problem.
Although it is possible to access a POP account with more than one email client, a POP account is designed to be accessed with a single email client only. A POP account was introduced with the overwhelming majority had access to a single computer only - before there were laptops and long before there were smart phones and tablets.
One of the limitations with a POP account is only one email client at a time can be communicating with the incoming mail server to check the account for new messages and/or download new messages from the server.
No such problem with an Exchange or IMAP account.
