Ipad not restoring after IOS8 update

I attempted to update to ios 8 on my ipad air.
However my ipad was too full, so i deleted some apps/data and reattempted.
When I did the screen gave a message to connect to itunes. When I did it downloaded the software but I then had to restore the ipad.
When I attempted to restore, the ipad will not recognise my apple ID - Incorrect Apple ID "n*******@*********.uk" cannot beused to unlock this ipad.
However I know this is the ID/ password for this Ipad as I have a couple of ipod touchs on the same account that I use for school in tandem with the ipad.
When i try a different account or incorrect password I get a different message "Incorrect Apple ID or Password" so it appears I am using the right ID, but the ipad cannot use it.

Nicola

    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears you can release the Home button:
Are you releasing the home button when you see the connect to iTunes screen? Does iTunes start on its own? If it doesn't - start iTunes yourself.

    5. If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert:

  • Safari not running after ios8 update for ipad

I updated my Ipad with Retina display with ios8 lately and noticed that safari is not running after update. whenever i try to open it it just pop open and close immediately and automatically.
There was no problem of this kind before the update.

    If the above doesn't work:
    (A) Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.
    (B) Try reset all settings
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings for Wi-Fi, FaceTime, Message, Home Sharing will be reset

  • How can i get my notes back after ios8 update has wiped them all?

After updating my ipad to my horror my notes have all been deleted
It's really important to me to get them back. My daughter died 8 weeks ago and there were things that we wrote together on there. Irreplaceable things.
Why didnt apple warn of this before releasing the update
Also hate what its done to my photos.  Again no warning
i followed advice from these forums and plugged into laptop and itunes and restored.
I now have even less.  Half my apps have now gone too

    Hi Clembo60,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that your text messages are missing after an update on your iPhone. If you have a backup of your device on either iTunes or iCloud, you can restore from that backup and bring your information back. Please review the attached article, which covers how to back up and restore from backups, for more information.
Back up and restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iCloud or iTunes - Apple Support

  • Push email not working after ios8 update

I have updated my iPad air and my iPhone 5 to ios8.
Both devices have the same email accounts.
The ipad email push works fine after the update on all accounts.
But, on the iPhone I do not get email update for hours unless I physically go into the email app.
Is there a fix for this issue? I have tried everything from deleting and re-establishing the accounts. This happened on ios6 and 7.
Come on Apple, get with the program!
    Vern

I have the same issue with my iPhone 6 plus. My email no longer pushes with the Mail app. I have to fetch it. What's going on Apple?

  • Sounds in apps not working after iOS8 update

Has anyone else had issues with apps not playing sound after the update? I have a 5S and have reset it with no luck; sound plays through earbuds just fine, also plays the typing sound without earbuds. Seeing this with YouTube and Facebook as well as other embedded media.

  • Ipad mini difunctional after ios8 updates

I have nothing but trouble with my iPad mini 1 since ALL IOS8 updates!  Numerous problems.  Constant crashes and reloads.  Typing disfunctional, lag time is great and sometimes doesn't work at all.  Wifi slow or doesn't work at all!   I have tried all the fixes suggested by employees and non Apple folks. Been to the Genius bar, Apple Support Communities, other Apple blogs.  Nothing works!!  I cannot afford a new iPad.  Thanks Apple!

SSorry about your bad luck. A lot of that seems to be going around of late. I always get a chuckle when folks refer to the store clerks as " Genius". At least the one you saw was honest about the situation and didn't try to give you  a $75 credit on a new ipad if you turned in you mini with "defective hardware". I've been an on and off apple user since the late 70's. I must say, this latest blunder and the way that Apple is handling it just blows my mind. They have gone in a matter of two years from first rate to third rate at best.  I sincerely hope for yourself and all the others that have been effected that apple grabs the bull by the horns and puts an end to this nonsense.

  • Ipad mini will not restore after ios update 7.1.2

    Hi Community,
I recieved a message last night about the update 7.1.2 for my ipad mini. I left my ipad on overnight while plugged in while it was updating. i woke up this morning seeing my ipad must be connected to itunes. I connect my ipad to itunes and it must be restored. Every time i try to restore and update the ipad from itunes i get the error code 3004. I have tried hard resetting the ipad, re-downloading the latest version of itunes, and disconnecting and reconnected the usb plug.

    Hello, Ronald.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here are the steps that I would recommend going through when experiencing error 3004.
    Resolve network errors
Related errors: 17, 1004, 1013, 1638, 3014, 3194, 3000, 3002, 3004, 3013, 3014, 3015, 3194, 3200, or "There was a problem downloading the software," or say the "device isn't eligible for the requested build.". These alerts mean that your computer is either having difficulty contacting the Apple update server or communicating with your device.
Check your computer for software or settings that might cause communication issues between your computer and Apple or between your computer and your device.

  • Images in mail are not shown after ios8 update

After update iOS8 the images attached in mails are not shown constantly, I configured my iPhone and iPad to show the images in mails but it is not working all time.
The issue is with photos sent from my ip cameras, these are showing for one mail and for other not.
    Thanks in advance.

    Actually yes!
I'm not familiar with fuse, but I found the action in line one of your third frame (on the main timeline) dubious, and a quick search lead me to try "portfolio._brightness = 0;" as first line (and I commented out the original line) that worked.
My quess is that whatever template or original file you've been modifing/adjusting used some kind of color-fade in at that point, and you somehow broke it.
To me it looks ok without it, but you let me know if you need further guesswork from me.
    cheers

  • Airport Not Working After iOS8 Update

    Hi,
Last night I updated my iPad to iOS8.
I was then invited to update the Airport Utility to make it work with iOS8.
The download & installation appeared to have completed successfully, but then I received the same message to update it. I ran the procedure again, following which I got the same message.
The router now has a flashing amber light & is unusable.
I have tried unplugging/reconnecting the mains lead. I have tried using the reset button. I have tried doing both together. Neither the iPad or my computer can see the router.
    Can anyone help, please?

I spent several hours with Apple support today: the issue kept getting escalated  as it was unable to be resolved by the person I was talking to at each level.
To cut a long story short: unable to resolve it, the unit will be repaired/replaced under warranty. They are very interested in getting hold of my failed unit to inspect it & figure out what has happened to it.
Many thanks to everyone I spoke to: they were all very interested, courteous & as helpful as possible. Excellent customer service.

  • Profile pictures not loaded after ios8 update

Hi, I've just updated to iOS 8 on my iPad, and upon opening skype, none of the profile pictures for my contacts have loaded. Since then, I have added 2 people as a contact and their profile pictures load up fine. Is anyone experiencing a similar problem, or have a solution?
So far I have tried rebooting the iPad, deleting the app, rebooting, then re installing. Still nothing.

Same here... On iPad mini 2 (iOS 8.0). Please resolve it. Only a very few people have profile pics, others are blank

  • Had to restore iPad2 from itunes after IOS8 update with no option to restore from icloud backup.

since i lost everything on my ipad due to the IOS8 update, i thought i'd try to do a manual restore from my icloud backup, but the only backup listed is one from the day i did the update/restore. i'm pretty sure it's not going to help me recover everything that i lost since it's only 1.8gb. i know my ipad backed up to the cloud every couple of weeks when i charged it, so shouldn't there be other backup dates available? also, when i go to settings>icloud>manage storage>ipad, the backup options list every app i had on my ipad before the update/restore, but those apps are no longer on my ipad, so i'm not sure why they're listed in the backup options. apparently i can't even contact apple to help with this issue without paying $20, and i live 2 hours away from the closest apple store. any thoughts?

My philosophy is if you lost everything already anyway, you have nothing to lose by restoring the iCloud backup at this point. Besides, your apps will download from iCloud, if you were truly backing up with iCloud and not using iTunes. Apps are not part of the backup, app data is.
I would give it a try. If it doesn't work out, you are no worse off than you are now. But - your apps should still all download from the cloud even if the data is gone.
