  • IPad 3 Not Visible via Wifi

I recently installed iTunes 10.7 on my Win 7 64 bit PC. I have an iPhone 5 and iPad 3 both running iOS 6. My iPhone is visible in iTunes via wifi, but my iPad is not visible. I did not have this issue with iTunes 10.6.3. Both iPhone and iPad are visible when I connect via cable. Any suggestions.

  • My IPAD is not giving any sound it is muted but when head phone plugged in it is giving sound wghat is the problem please answer and solve

my ipad is not giving any sound from ipad but giving sound from headphone when plugged in, what may be the problem i dont know but facing much problems as phone is muted.I have checked all switches. The sound switch is also on.Red is not visible in rightside switch.
Please solve the problem, how it is happened whats solution,i want remedia measures
IPAD 3GS iOS 8.1.2 updated recently but sound muted please solve my problem

What do you have Settings > General > Use Side Switch Set To ? If 'rotation lock' then you mute/unmute sounds via the Control Centre (swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen), not the switch on the side of the iPad.
If that is not 'on' then try inserting and removing headphones and see if that gets sounds to work, and if not then try a soft reset (i.e. a reboot) and see if that makes any difference : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear

    Help

    Folks,
I had this problem with my PC (windows 7, 64-bit) and my iPad. After messing with it for a long time, I finally found the answer (bad USB driver). The following two step process should help resolve these kinds of problems more quickly.
The first step is to verify that the iPad (or iPhone) is really connected to your computer. This can be (really) checked using a program called USBDeview. You can get this (very small) program from http://download.cnet.com/USBDeview/3000-2094_4-10614190.html or http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html. Don't worry, it's not Spyware or Malware.
Just run the program and sort on the 'Connected' column. If your iPad or iPhone doesn't show up as Yes (under 'Connected') then your iDevice is not properly connected to your computer. Could be a cable problem. Could be an iDevice problem. Could be a USB hub problem. Note that your iDevice might be listed as what it is (iPad or iPhone) or it might be listed as 'Apple Mobile Device USB Driver' in the 'Description' column.
Apple has a number of ideas to resolve this sort of basic connectivity issue, including switching USB ports, resetting your iDevice, rebooting your iDevice, rebooting your computer, etc. You will need to try them until your iDevice shows up in USBDeview as 'Yes' under Connected.
If you iDevice shows up as 'Yes' under connected, it should also be visible in the Device Manager (found in the Windows 7 Control Panel under Hardware and Sound). You might find it under Portable Devices or it might be under Universal Serial Bus controllers.
The iDevice may or may not show up in the Windows Explorer. On some machines it does, on others it does not. Why is not clear.
If the Idevice is properly known to Windows and iTunes can't see it, then any number of other things could be wrong. Apple has a list. See the very useful page over at http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538. Testing shows that the Apple Mobile Device service must be running. Check this using Task Manager (started by right clicking the taskbar). Note that the iPod service and the iphlpsvc service must also be running. These services have different names under the Processes table versus the Services tab of Task Manager.
    AppleMobileDeviceService.exe - Apple Mobile Device
    iPodService.exe                      - iPod Service
    ItunesHelper.exe                     - iphlpsvc
Step 4 of http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538 checks if the Apple Mobile Device USB is installed. This is essential and a common source of problems. In at least some cases, Windows will install the 'MTP USB' driver. Indeed, Windows will reinstall this driver if you uninstall it. The MTP USB driver is essentially a Windows bug (possibly caused by Microsoft). You must replace the MTP USB driver with the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver. Step 4 explains how to do this. Note that you must use the 'Have Disk' approach. Otherwise, Windows will just reinstall the invalid MTP driver.
The Apple doc indicates that you can find the correct driver at C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers. Perhaps this is correct on some systems. You may find the correct driver in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers.
iTunes could make this a lot easier by checking if the iDevice is known to Windows (what USBDevier does) and if the Apple Mobile Device USB driver is properly installed for the iDevice. Sadly it doesn't perform either check. Note that iTunes does if some of the related services (see above) are actually running.

  • HT4101 I have a NIKON COOLPIX P500 but am unable to download photos through the IPad camera connection kit. I have tried to use the Sandisk card also - no result. Any suggestions? The Ipad does not "see" the card or camera?

I have a Nikon Coolpix P500 but am unable to download photos from it to my iPad2 via the iPad Camera Connection kit. The iPad does not see either the Sandisk 8GB card or the Nikon camera. I have turned the camera on, but it seems that the camera just want to recharge its battery through the iPad as the iPad states that the devices draws too much power?? Anybodu solved this problem yet? Advise please?

One thing to check is the format that the camera is saving pics to the card in. Many are selectable and, in most cases, if PTP is one of the options then you need to have that one selected for the files to be visible to iOS and the CCK (connection kit).
Another thing which sometimes comes up, especially with older cameras and therefore probably not with yours, is the filenaming conventions used by the camera. iOS is quite strict about what it expects to see and if files are being stored with unsupported name formats then they simply won't be seen at all.

There a a few problems/limitations I'm running into with the Adobe Content Viewer for Ipad 1 (not tested on 2), like:
Autoplaying more than 1 multiple-state is impossible. Only the object in the highest place in the layers is visible (like having pulsing navigation arrows and a fade in text) -works perfectly in de windows Adobe Content Viewer with Indesign 5.5
Autoplay of an multistate object with 'stop at last frame' does not work. It just fades the entire multistate object out, instead of holding. -works perfectly in de windows Adobe Content Viewer with Indesign 5.5.
Cropping Images (changing the objectbox) in indesign, becomes skewed (or squashed) like the image just gets pushed in the new objectbox size.
Buttons with a click image/appearence become invisible in a multistate object. -works perfectly in de windows Adobe Content Viewer with Indesign 5.5.
    Some ideas for change
Not allowing an Overlay (which is larger than the page itself) on a page depth of 1, on top of a page with depth 0. Seeing content of the page below the currentpage seems quite unuseful.
Allow multistate objects to autoplay within another multistate object (thus allowing like a: menu catagorie wich can call an autoplaying slideshow)
Zooming in on an image without first having to tap on it to enable zooming.
    Updating content button.
Hitting the update button in Indesign cs5.5 (windows) doesn't update all changed content.
Hitting download update in de Adobe Content Viewer (Ipad 1) doesn't change all changed content. Archive and redownload nessesary.

There are a few problems/limitations I'm running into with the Adobe Content Viewer for Ipad 1 (not tested on 2), like:
Navto:// crashes to non preloaded pages with slideshow:
    Additional information/ text examples:
                    - Say we are on page 2. depth 2:  and you link to page 4 with depth 1 (not 0/first) (which has a slideshow on that page) This results in a crash.
                    - Linking to pages with depth 0 (and have slideshows, works.
                    - Say we are on Page 2, depth 3 and link to Page 3 depth 2 with a slideshow, works.
                    - Linking to all next to pages and top pages with slideshows, works.
Fixed (viewer 2.3.1) Autoplaying more than 1 multiple-state is impossible. Only the object in the highest place in the layers is visible
(like having pulsing navigation arrows and a fade in text) -works perfectly in de windows Adobe Content Viewer with Indesign 5.5

  • Album split on iPad but not on iPhone or in iTunes

I use iTunes Match, and a few albums are split into multiple albums on my iPad, but not in iTunes or on my iPhone. Why would this be different on my iPad when I'm using Match on all of my devices?
I've tried making changes to the album in iTunes on my computer using Get Info, but since it's already one album there it doesn't seem to make a difference.
I'm using Mavericks on my computer and iOS 7 on both the iPad and iPhone.

If the tracks have already been downloaded to the iOS device any changes to ID3 tags won't be visible until you delete the tracks from the device. So give that a try. Also see this web page for more helpful information about ID3 tags: http://samsoft.org.uk/iTunes/grouping.asp

  • IPad is not rebooting

My iPAD is not rebooting. The apple logo is visible for few seconds every time the restart is attempted. The iPad was running on iOS 7.1.2

    Howdy atulhemani,
It sounds like you are unable to successfully boot to your Home Screen and the phone keeps looping back to the Apple logo. I would start by connecting your device to the wall adapter that came with it, and resetting it:
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
If that does not get your device going again, you should put it into recovery mode and restore it with this article:
If you can't update or restore your iOS device

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,

Thanks.  The reason this has become an issue is that I recently bought a new Macbook Air that the iPad is not synced to.  The one is was synced to was stolen.  If I want to sync this iPad to the new Air, won't it be wiped before I'm able to copy these films or am I wrong about that?

  • IPad could not be Synced because it is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on iPad

The apple id's are the same and only 2 devices authorized. Meessage states to go to STORE and Authorize Computer. When I do I get a Message it is already authorized

The problem appeared to be a Pending Request on the IPAD for the new ICLOUD option to share Keychain. I cleared that up and it appears that fixed the issue. Thanks for your help
