Ipad (original) not recognizing ANY wifi
hello everyone. After 3 years of flawless performance, my iPad gave up. 2 days ago, it decided not to connnect to the wifi at home (or at work). Tried all the things I could think of. Reset network. Airplane mode. Power down. Restart. Unplug airport extreme. Restore. Backup. Backup and restore and everything! Am I completely out of luck?
From your description of the problem it does sound like it is a very real possibility that you PAD has a wi fi hardware problem. If the wifi on/off button is greyed out, that would even give you a stronger indication that it's a hardware issue.

Sounds like it's not an issue with your Internet connection; most likely something going on with either the account or the server. Is it asking you to sign in with your Apple ID? Are you able to sign into the Manage function at appleid.apple.com ?

When you say it "can not scan any wifi network" do you mean it is not detecting Wi-Fi networks?
Is Wi-Fi turned on in Settings > General > Wi-Fi?
Have you tried Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings?
Is it just the home network that the device will not connect to? or any network? -
my ipone 4s does not see any wifi networks my ipad works ok tried all of the above resetting network etc still does not see wifi ?
If no change after restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup, the iPhone has a hardware problem with the wireless card or with something else.

iPad is not making any sound when typing, watching video from YouTube and video from cameroll. I don't even hear when I receive notification. My mom and dad has the same problem on their iPhone 4s. My mom when to apple store to replace for a new phone but do I have to go to the apple store to replace it too? I also tried a restore but it did not work. Please answer!

After doing all the ridiculous resetting and changing/checking the settings by the advice given on these forums and on YouTube, I finally discovered that if you have your apple device connected to any other device by bluetooth you will not get any audio but by the device it's connected to. How un-awesome is that? Ive always been used to how my android devices work with Bluetooth which is when the system you're connected to is off or in a different mode, you still have audio. That makes perfect sense and is convenient, right? But I thought my brand new ipad was busted when I connected to my entertainment system by Bluetooth and haven't been getting any audio the last few weeks. So basically I need to go into settings every stinking time if I want to hear my game or show my wife a YouTube video. Regretting ever got this overpriced tablet... -

I had my iPad replaced today due to battery failure. The replacement iPad will not accept any of my wifi passwords at work or at home. Is there a setting that needs to be reviewed? I have rebooted both the iPad and routers at both locations, no one else is having problems with these passwords or their wifi connections.

My iPad will not connect to wifi, even though my computer is currently connected. Airport mode is off, and my iPad shows connectivity in the corner. Is there any way to fix this without completely resetting the device?

Sorry, but you need iTunes 11 which requires OS 10.6 or higher and a Mac with an Intel processor. In other words, you need a newer Mac.

My iphone 4s is no longer detecting wifi since the IOS8 updates came out. I've restarted, rest the networks, reset the phone back to factory settings, and even tried the freezer trick. It is STILL not detecting ANY wifi networks. HELP!!! I cannot afford to go over my data and I use wifi at home and work... I believe the updates have caused the issue, because it was working fine before the second update released (I hadn't put the first one one until I noticed it had stopped working, and by then the second IOS8 version had came out). They need to do a third update to fix this issue.
If it's grayed out:
Reset Network Settings - if that doesn't fix it, then Backup and Restore AS A NEW DEVICE.
If it's still grayed out, unfortunately that means your Wi-Fi antenna quit, and it needs service. -
