IPad photos won't upload

Recently started having trouble uploading photos to Facebook and other Web sites, which throw a "photo too large" error. Sometimes with repeated retries, the photo will upload; other times, the photo with absolutely not upload.
Can't be sure when the problem began, but have been using iPad for almost two years. Am not aware of any significant changes to the iPad, such as new OS, rouge apps, etc. Have looked at various settings, no help. Version 6 (10A403), iPad WiFi 4G 64GB (model MD371LL).
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

I would start with two basic troubleshooting steps.
Try this first. Reset your iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that doesn't fix it, try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings. You won't lose any data, but all of the device settings will have to be entered again.

  • Ipad photos won't go away, help!

There's an album on my ipad in the photo library that just won't go away! I can't delete the album or any pictures in it. The album or photos won't show on iTunes, iPhoto, or Image Capture. I think it was imported from my laptop a long time ago with iTunes. I'm trying to move the album to my macbook air, but would settle for just deleting it from my ipad, it's taking so much space.
    Appreciate the help!

Remove them the very same way you put them there.  Connect your iPad to your computer and open iTunes.  When your iPad is recognized on the left side of the iTunes screen, click it once to open it.  Click on Photos in the bar above on the right side of the iTunes screen.  Uncheck the photos you want to delete, then click Apply on the lower right hand corner of iTunes.

  • *sometimes* photos won't upload to photo stream

Ever since updating to iOS 6 I've been having problems with photo stream.
Sometimes I take a photo on my iphone 4s - it appears in my camera roll - but it doesn't upload to photo stream, even though I am fully connected to wi-fi.
Then I take another photo, and all of a sudden that second photo uploads to photo stream, but the first one still doesn't.
Sometimes I'll be out and about taking dozens of photos. When I return home and connect to wi-fi my photos don't upload to my photo stream. Other times they do.
It's very temperamental and difficult to figure out why.
I have photostream turned on in icloud. I have recently restored my iphone to factory settings in an attempt to resolve the issue, but to no avail. When I experience these problems there's never an issue with internet connection - browsing on safari works perfectly well.
Any thoughts? Does anyone have the same problems?

Thanks JBJ612. I'm the same. If I go to my friends house and connect to his wi-fi my photos upload normally.
I've tried resetting my wi-fi. I've tried renewing the wi-fi lease on my iPad, and I've tried forgetting the network and reconnecting, but nothing works.
It must be an iOS problem. I hope apple fixes this soon.

  • My imported photos won't upload to my photostream.

I imported photos from my camera.  I shared the photos to photostream and it says uploading images in the right hand corner but days have gone by and it won't upload.  I have rebooted, turned off photostream and restarted it and reshared the images but nothing happens.  I am very frustrated.

  • My iPad photos did not upload to my Mac.  they appear on my iPad as "photo stream", but didn't transfer to the new MacBook Air

Just tried to back up my PHOTO STREAM ipad photos to my MacBook.  They didn't upload....
My Photo Stream is turned on.
    Thoughts?

    On your Macbook Air:
Disable Photo Stream in the System/iCloud preference pane
and in iPhoto's Photo Stream preference pane.
Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

  • Photos won't upload to photo stream folder on PC

When I updated to the new iOS7 my photo stream stopped uploading directly to my PC. Same phone, same iCloud settings, they just don't update. What's the deal?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back.

  • Ios 8 photos won't upload in safari to facebook status update

Installed iOS 8. I use Safari to access Facebook.com. photos will no longer upload to Facebook status update.

Stan, did they infer it only 'may' get fixed?
Surely they Have to fix this very Major issue or they'll go bust!
    I'd never trust them again.
Do you have the email address of Apple?
Or know if they've made any public statements concerning this problem.
the other issues, like caps coming on and off or slower speeds I can live with but not being able to upload images is a major problem. If not fixed it would render my iPad virtually useless to me.

  • Photos won't upload to flickr... how do i fix?

Just moved to Photos; also have Flickr libraries associated with iPhoto and Aperture. When I attempt to upload, it says exporting but Flickr box never pops up to assign to libraries. Anyone else with this issue?

Yes, I go to Settings>Mail>Gmail. I've deleted the old Gmail account and added it back with the new password. I've also deleted the account, shut down the iPad and iPhone and then re-add the Gmail account with the new password and it still doesn't work for either device. The error messages I get are:
For the iPad: Cannot Connect Using SSL
For the iPhone: The user name or password for "imap.gmail.com" is incorrect.

  • Photos won't upload to internet anymore

I've never had any trouble with iPhoto uploading my pictures to websites up until now. For whatever reason, whenever I go to upload my pictures, the Select button won't let me click on it. It doesn't matter which camera I use or which website I try - nothing. Is there any way I can fix this?

  • Photos Won't Upload on various websites after iOS 10.10.1 Installed

I recently upgraded my MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010) to iOS 10.10.1 Not only does it run much slower than it previously did, I have now encountered a problem. I use my machine to upload photos I take to Facebook, Walgreens (to get prints), etc. and now when I try, the browser just quits. I haven't changed anything or done anything differently to account for this, except change to a newer OS. I have years of precious photos on iPhoto and regularly grab some to share or print and now I cannot do either since installing iOS 10.10.1.
Would someone please help me? I am an older person, not terribly good at understanding these things, and am distraught I have lost this function. Thank you to anyone who will try t help me.

I just tried to add a photo on this site and the browser crashed. What is going on? I was told by Apple that the new OS would make my computer work better. It works worse! Even opening Word takes forever now. I see more spinning circles full of color now than I have ever seen before. Certainly I am not the only person experiencing this. Can someone please help??

  • My photos won't upload .

My photos wont upload , I have tried everything twice and some 3 times, what else can I do  ?

It's strongly recommende you maintain a minimum of 10 GB free space for optimal system and application performance, more if you use iDVD.  I suggest you immediately move whatever you can to an external HD to free up space.  If you get the free space down too loo the Mac will freeze and not be able to reboot. Very ugly situation.
Removing the not needed languages (always keep English, English (US) and any other necessary language) with Monolingual can free up to 1GB of space.  However, do not use any of Monolingual's other features.

  • Moved iPhoto to external HD now photos won't upload to Photo Stream

I moved iPhoto to an external HD connected to my iMac and now Photo Stream says it is uploading photos but nothing is happening.
After moving iPhoto (and selecting the new location as the default by holding down the Option key when opening the app) I added some photos by dragging them from Finder to iPhoto Library Photos.  I then dragged them from Library Photos to Photo Stream and all appeared to be fine.   However after an 2 hours it still says "Uploading 140 photos" but no photos are moving to the Photo Stream folder.
    Any help would be appreciated!

Quit out of iPhoto, relaunch and try again.  Also the following may help:
Disable Photo Stream in the System/iCloud preference pane
and in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane.
Reboot and reenable both respectively. See if that willjump start the upload to Photo Stream.

  • Some photos won't upload to Photo Share albums

I have just started to use photo sharing from my Macbook to my iPhone (previously had been using it iPhone to iPhone only). I am trying to sync photos in Aperture (not all, just a select few) - with my iPhone.
I have created a photo share for myself only (I don't want to use photo stream because I don't want ALL my photos syncing on a regular basis)
The permissions have all be adjusted to allow photosharing both in Aperture and on my iPhone 4
I have 47 photos in an album called IPHONE in Aperture
I selected all the photos and dragged them to Icloud
It asked me if I wanted to put them in my Photo Share album named APERTURE
    and I clicked ok.
Even after waiting for over an hour - I am only getting 3 photos into my photoshare album.
    Alternatively -
when I "sync" my iPhone using itunes
I tell iTunes that I want to use photos from Aperture
I select the checkbox beside the IPHONE Album I created with 47 photos in it (but it says there are only 23 photos in the album)
    I run the sync
and only 23 photos are transferring to my iPhone.
Why isn't it recognizing some of my photos? I know there are specifications for photosharing, but a straight upload/sync in iTunes should allow all photos to upload?

  • My photos won't upload to iphoto says start up disc full

I have been trying to upload photos from new Iphone we took on vacation but will not upload all photos because it says the start up disc is full, any suggestions as to what that means or how to fix?

    Jason Worman wrote:
I openned up the utility we are down to about 3.8 GB of free space, any suggestions as to what to delete? I did not realize we had used up over 600 GB of space, I did not think a hard drive could fill up, we are starting with deleting movies and apps, anything else we might not be aware of? I really appreciate your help
You need a minimum of 60 to 100G free for correct operation of your internal drive, deletions are unlikely to get you all the way there and then the drive will fill up again.
Buy a large external drive (twice the size of your internal) and move a LOT of files to it.
Everything fills up, even the extraordinarily expensive handbags my girlfriend buys, at their prices I expected them to contain life, the universe and everything .... but they don't
