IPad randomly freezes after installing iOS 7 - in the middle of watching a video. Touchscreen often very sluggish.

Updated iPad to latest version of iOS7 and really wish I hadn't.  touchscreen suddenly very sluggish ... I can press something several times for it to "take", some apps suddenly close for no reason, video is doing strange things too - audio will keep playing but the picture isn't keeping up with audio. All videos streaming from latest version of iTunes. is anyone else having these sorts of issues?

Try This...
Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of Your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

If no joy...
Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.
If the issue persists...
Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I had the same problem and was ready to throw It in the trash. Last night I erased my iPad and set it up as new iPad instead of restoring. I didn't turn on iCloud until after I deleted my iCloud backup and turned off contact syncing with it. Since then it hasn't crashed and it has had about 4 hours of use. 5.0.1 didn't have an effect on it. Just happy I got my iPad back!

  • IPad Air freezes after upgrade ios 8.0.2

After the iPad Air was upgraded to 8.0.2, a restart was necessary. iPad starts and then freezes at the apple logo. nothing helps ...
What is going wrong ? Anyone who can help ? Thanks.

this happened to me. I needed to restore the device using itunes.
You can enter a special mode called recovery mode and itunes will help to restore ios on the ipad.
To do this, you obviously need a pc or mac with itunes installed on it. And a recent backup would be useful as this process will blank the machine.
Switch the ipad off by holding the power and home buttons until the screen goes black.
    TThen follow this:
If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  • IPad 1 unresponsive after installing iOS 5?

Not even a week ago, I downloaded the new iOS 5 for my ipad 1. At first it was fine, but after a bit of usage, it would suddenly turn itself off or restart for no reason. Eventually it kept happening more frequently and more quickly. Now it won't turn on at all, it doesn't register in my itunes when i try to sync it to my computer, it is unresponsive when i charge it and it doesn't respond when I attempt a hard restart. I'm pretty sure it's due to iOS 5 because it only started happening after I installed it, so what should I do to fix it? It's still under AppleCare warranty, should I go instore?

  • HT1766 iPad not responding after installing iOS 7.0.2

Hello, I updated my iPad with iOS 7.0.2. After installation, it indicated to connect to iTunes. After connecting nothing has happened. iPad is not responding. iTunes is also not recognising my iPad! What to do?

Try recovery mode as described here.
Note you may have to try to get into recovery mode more than once to succeed.

  • How you close an application on ipad 4 after installing ios 7

How you close an application on ipad 4 after installing ios 7

Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app.

  • After installing iOS 6.0, YouTube was gone, and can't fine it at app store.  The installation of new updates is never succecessful.  And there seems to be no way that you can stop it.  Why is that?

After installing iOS 6.0, the previously installed YouTube was gone, and couldn't  find it at app store.  Also, the installation of new updates Can not be completed, they have been in "installing" status for days.  And there seems to be no way that I  can cancel it.  What should I do?

Thanks, I understand that.  Now the biggest problem is that I can not purchase or install anything from App Store.  They have been in "waiting" mode ever since I tried to install them.  What might be the reason?

After installing IOS 6 on the three family phones, when I send a text to one of them, all of them get it.  How do I fix this problems?

Go to Settings -> Messages -> Send & Receive on each device and deactivate the addresses you do not want to receive messages directed to on that device.

  • Mail stopped working on iPad & iPhone, but not G5, after installing iOS 7.

Here we have a G5, an iPhone-4 and an iPad all linked to the same POP account.  Mail fetching on all three devices had been working fine.
Earlier this week (10/23 or 10/24), however, Mail on both the iPhone and the iPad quit working shortly after our having installed iOS 7 on each of them.   This could be a coincidence, but Mail on a G5 running 10.5.8 linked to the same account is still fetching and sending mail just fine.
Every time we swipe down on the message list (the gesture to fetch new mail) in Mail on the iPad, an error message appears,
    Cannot Get Mail
The user name or password for
    "Primary Mail Account" is incorrect
    Settings   |    OK
An analogous gesture on the iPhone produces the same message.
But Mail on the G5 (running 10.5.8) still works fine to fetch mail from the same POP account.
    Here are some details:
About two weeks ago, we installed iOS 7 on the iPad and the iPhone.  Mail continued to work after the installation.
About a week later, last Wednesday, 10/23, the iPad went through a spontaneous installation event, in which the multilingual series of "Hello!" images familiar to those who install Mac operating systems floated across the screen.  Apparently, this event installed iOS 7.0.3.  There followed a short series of initialization dialogs, then everything seemed to work OK.
Except that Mail wasn't working.  This could be a coincidence, but Mail on this iPad has not worked since last Wednesday.  The last message received is dated last Wednesday.
We don't know whether the iPhone went through a similar event, but Mail quit working on it, as well.  Mail on this iPhone now gets the same message, above, as on the iPad.  The last message received by the iPhone was last Thursday, 10/24.  The iPhone's iOS is now 7.0.2.  The iPhone says that iOS 7.0.3 is downloaded, but not yet installed.
We compared the settings for Mail on the G5, on which Mail is still working, against the settings on the iPad and the iPhone.  They all seem pretty much the same.
Have you heard of anyone else with this problem, or might you have an idea how to research it?
    --Gil

That worked!  A couple of notes for anyone with the same problem:
I thought I'd be clever and create a new account before deleting the old one.  That didn't work, as "Settings" kept insisting that the account had already been created.  I had actually to delete the old account and create a new one from nada.
I was careful to write down all the settings parameters first.  Even so, it took a few tries to get everything spelled right.  Fortunately, "Settings" checked everything carefully and its messages pointed to the right places.
I still got the same error message the first time i relaunched Mail.  However, this time I chose the "OK" option.  Since then and thereafter it seems to be working.
    Thanks for your help, lizdance40.

  • After Install IOS 8 and 8.0.2, the Ipad audio was distorted, and the bluetooth connection to audio speaker have wheezing.

After Install IOS 8 and 8.0.2, the Ipad audio was distorted, and the bluetooth connection to audio speaker have wheezing.

I ALSO just updated my brand new iphone 6 to 8.0.2, and I ALSO had my cellular service BRICKED.
All I get on the signal meter is Verizon 1x.  Every so often 3G would popup and you could send a text (no calls though) but it's gone in seconds. So  I can't send texts or make phone calls.
This phone worked immediately before the update and stopped working immediately after the update.
My neighbor has a iphone 5S. He updated to 8.0.2 lat week and had no problems UNTIL just this morning, when his phone stopped working - no cellular voice or data. He downgraded back to ios 8.0 but his cellular service never came back.
Called verizon - was told there were no service outages and then I got transferred to tech team.
Tech team had do all the Apple troubleshooting steps but nothing more. So they said "take it back."
So this BRAND NEW iPhone 6 phone is BRICKED because of iOS 8.0.2.
    Thanks Apple!

Hi, how can i reinstall iOS 5 In My iPad after install iOS 6?

You can't. It's not supported by Apple.

  • My ipad 2 won't hold a charge after installing ios 7

I use the authentic Apple charger and my ipad 2 won't hold a charge after installing ios 7. What is the fix for this miserable wasteful upgrade that made all of our iPads unusable ! I Shut off location, turned off  brightness, shut down and  took off apps.  WHAT NOW for my iPad ?

Batteries eventually fail, and it sounds like that's happened with your iPad. You'll need to take or send it Apple to get the battery replaced. See:
