IPad reboots every 2 seconds repeatedly

So my iPad 2 has been repeatedly rebooting its self every 2 seconds for the past two days. It doesn't seem to be getting any better. I would reset everything on settings, but I don't have enough time (given only 2 seconds every reboot). I don't know what to do! All of my school and social life is on there. I need to get to it for projects and school related papers. Please help!

Try a reset (hold the home and power keys down until the Apple logo appears).

  • WRT54GX2 reboots every 10 seconds

I have a linksys WRT54GX2 wireless router that reboots every 10 seconds. I've read that it's a firmware problem but how am I supposed to update the firmware from the interface in a matter of 10 seconds?

You can try updating the firmware using TFTP utility...BUt before you upgrade the firmware...Press and hold the reset button for 60 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...
Download the TFTP utility and save it on the dekstop.
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device : -
Double click the TFTP.exe file and click run.
For Server- Enter the IP Address of the router that you assigned.  By default, the router is 192.168.1.1...
For Password- Enter the password you assigned the router. By default, the router’s password is “admin”.
For File- Click the triple “…” button and browse for the .bin firmware file...
Click Upgrade button to start upgrading.  A progress bar should show up to show the progress.
Once the Upgrade is done press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

  • My iphone switches off and reboots every 30 seconds

My iPhone switches off and reboots every 30 seconds, has antone experienced this problem? It happened a couple of weeks ago and I took the sim card out , cleaned it and put it back. This solved the problem for about 2 weeks, but it doesnt help now

Well Solution 1 : Reset your modem and Restore your Iphone 4 as a new iphone and try and it still keeps you off
try with another modem and it still keeps you off then your wireless adaptor might crash and you need to go to apple store

  • X2200 and IB card causes reboot every 10 seconds

    Hi
we're currently facing a problem with x86 server and PCI Infiniband Adapter.
Sun as the IB card is in the slot, the server reboots every 10 seconds. This
causes the network connection to get lost (including ILOM). It is impossible
to boot the system (hence no OS could be installed ether). Sun as the IB card
is taken out the system works well.
    Sun P/N: 375-3382

    Link to the X2200M2 Server

What OS are will you be installing?
On our Infiniband cluster (v20z's with Infinicon IB cards), we first installed linux, then the Mellanox drivers (supplied by the IB vendor), then installed the cards. All has been well for over a year of uninterrupted uptime.
Sounds like the default OS installation (which would be Solaris) does not recognize the card and crashes.

  • Why is my CPU spiking, causing the desktop to reboot every few seconds?

I watch the CPU reading in the Disk Monitor spike in usage (from about 5% to 100%) every 30-90 seconds. Every time it does, the desktop reboots, taking me away from whatever program I am using to the Finder. What should I do?

iPad running slow? How to speed up a slow iPad

If You Think iOS 7 Feels Slow Here’s How to Speed It Up
    http://osxdaily.com/2013/09/23/ios-7-slow-speed-it-up/
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

  • G550 causes DLink router to reboot every 10 seconds

I have a new Lenovo G550, running Vista Home Premium 64-bit and a new DLink WBR-1310 wireless router. Each time the laptop connects to the router through either a wireless connection or a LAN cable connection the router crashes. Then the router rebooys, establishes a connection with the laptop, communication starts and the router crashes again. The cycle continues until I disconnect the laptop. The crash-reboot-crash cycle takes about 10 seconds.
I tested a different router. A TrendNet TEW-432BRP router. The same thing happens. The router crashes as soon as the laptop is able to communicate with the router.
I've taken the laptop to work where I used Microsoft Windows Update and Lenovo Update to ensure that all drivers on the laptop are updated. The only S/W on the laptop is Microsoft Office Pro 2007 and AVG-free (anti-virus) + the S/W that comes with the G550.
At work, the laptop does not crash the router. But at work it does not connect directly to the router. Instead it is connected by LAN cable through a Vonage VOIP system. Meaning the laptop is connected by a LAN cable to the Vonage VOIP unit. And the Vonage unit is connected by a LAN cable to the router.
I also tested the laptop at a couple of public and hotel wireless connections. The laptop is able to connect to these public wireless systems without causing them to crash.
Back at home, the DLink and TrendNet routers work OK with older computers running Windows XP Pro and Windows Vista Home Basic. The DLink also has the latest firmware. WBR-1310 H/W: B1, firmware 2.02.
AVG does not report any viruses and the AVG log file contains no record of finding one in the past.
The router has no custom settings. It is configured with factory defaults. The laptop's network connections (for the LAN and wireless connections) have no custom settings. The laptop's network connections are configured to obtain IP address and DNS server addresses automatically.
My theory about the problem = something in the communication between the laptop & router crashes the router. Perhaps there is something in Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit. Perhaps something in the Lenovo S/W.
    I am looking for help.
    Thank you.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I had this problem too.  Specifically a Dlink router (WBR-1310) and a Lenovo laptop (Y530) running Vista Home (32-bit).  It would show that my laptop connected to the network, then a few seconds later the connection would be down and it would continuously connect/disconnect.  My other system that was connected just fine through the router (running Windows 7) would get kicked off the network.  Connecting the Vista laptop directly to the cable modem, though, would work just fine.
Found this post, and it worked for me.  http://www.justanswer.com/questions/1wau3-bought-lenovo-laptop-y430
Just go into your Dlink configuration's Advanced tab, then the Advanced Network sub-tab.  Uncheck the UPnP (universal plug and play), save the settings, and let the router reboot.
Now both my systems (Vista and Windows 7) are happy and connected through the router.

  • Z97 Gaming 5 + i7 4770k + Corsair rm750 keeps rebooting every 3 sec

So this it, last night I've starting building the new PC.
When I try to switch it on, it just keeps rebooting every 3 second.
I can see the red audio boost and green leds switching on, the CPU fan just moving a bit.
I can hear a loud "CLICK-CLACK" on the on/off (coming from the PSU)
I don't hear any beep (case is an Obsidian 550d and I wonder if there's a speaker or something I should connect to hear beeps, or it's only an old thing)
I tried both with and without RAM (Kingston hyperx ddr3 2400  2x8gb).
Tried with one Dimm in slot2 too, and a few more combinations.
Not using any HDD nor a GFX Card at the moment.
Both JPWR1 and JPWR2 are correctly connected.
JFP1 stuff should be correctly connected (at least the power button is).
I'm basically desperade, because I don't know what else I should try.
edit: it actually keeps restarting every 3 seconds not 1

    HOLD ON!
Just checking the whole motherboard for bent pin as I read in another thread,
I found out that maybe I have a bent pin into the USB3.0 connector, that I haven't connected yet.
This is really the best pic I can provide sorry, but it might be visible on the left a missing pin ad one bent down (I think)
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/kvdq8pspck3bo4d/NewPCWip_usb3Pin.jpg
It's way too small for me to even try something there.
Could this be causing the problem?

  • My thunderbolt keeps repeating music every few seconds

My new Thunderbolt monitor keeps repeating music every few seconds. When I play anything else, the music continues. How can I stop it?

I've run into the issue and it seems to be related to an app not fully supporting the iOS you're on, the reboot doesn't usually solve it.
I've solved it in the following manner(s):
    1) Backup the device to iCloud, then erase the iPad (Content and Network Settings).
    2) Setup the iPad and choose to restore from iTunes/iCloud Backup (wherever you backed it up)
    3) Perform any software updates
I have not tried simply performing the software updates (which may fix it, but if it doesn't you won't be able to perform the above steps).
    Enjoy.

my ipad streaming purchased video from itunes stops every few seconds.  This does not happen with any other streaming video service.  I have restarted and rebooted already.

I've tried both things, but video still stutters.. Have also tried removing profile, and complete reinstall of firefox.
I'm on 24 Mbit cable and the only user atm. IE and Chrome seems to work without stuttering.
I've having this stuttering every ~5th second, like a small "1/4 sec buffering".

After the restore did the phone work properly for a while? Say, a day or so?
If so it is possible you have an app that doesn't let go of memory properly. I reboot my iPhone ( hold sleep/wake and hole till you see the apple logo) every few days. This resets the memory. The iPhone OS has doesn't seem to mange memory very well yet. So a reboot will help with that. I have had my phone almost slow to a stop before I started rebooting. Always reboot after installing a new app. Also do you close all pages in Safari when you are done? This is a good practice. Safari will run in the background and use processor time and drain your battery quicker. Create a new blank page then close all others when you are done browsing for a while. I have also found that certain web site that have animated images like weather maps will turn the phone into molasses. As soon as i close that page it gets faster.
If all of the above have no effect then as Tamara said it is time for a trip to the Genius bar.
    Good luck

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
