IPad Running 7.0.2 Not Recognized in iTunes 11.1 on Mac

My iPad with 7.0.2 is now not recognized by iTune 11.1 on Mac. Please help since I do not want to restore to factory defaults.  Any Suggestions?

Running iTunes 11.1.3.8 for Windows, have reinstalled it countless times now, along with every single apple driver and subprogram I've seen on my computer. And yes I checked everything on the list you sent me.
I plugged in the iPad to an OSX machine with this very same cable and it was recognized instantly by even an older version of iTunes.
And yes my windows 8.1 does recognize the device, its just iTunes that doesnt.

Quit iTunes, restart your Mac and then restart the iPad and see if the iPad is recognized after that. If not, you can look through these articles.

  • IPod Help needed from serious Apple gurus - iPod Touch 2g 16g stuck in restart loop. Will NOT enter DFU or recovery mode, NOT recognized by iTunes on Windows or Mac

Ok, so here's the not so sad story. I bought an iPod Touch 2g 16g through Ebay - so forget warranties. Luckily I did not pay much. The description said it was stuck on the apple logo, so I figured it would be an easy put into recovery mode and restore problem.
    Not so much.
If you plug the iPod in and charge up the battery the LCD will come to life after a while with the apple logo, then it displays the spinning wheel with the apple logo over it. That will last anywhere from 10 - 15 minutes, then the iPod will go blank for a few secs and then start up the cycle all over again.
As stated, this iPod will NOT enter either DFU or recovery mode and believe me I've tried it several times several different ways with different timings, connected via USB to a Mac, connected to a different Mac running Windows, and connected to just the charger. Nothing. Occasionally the screen might go blank while holding the power and home buttons but nothing else happens and then it starts it's usual cycle again.
Again, iPod NOT recognized by iTunes on either Mac or Windows side. Since I got off Ebay and seller didn't know much about it, I have no idea if someone tried to jailbreak this or not.
I will not put much money into this machine. So I guess my question is: does this behavior mean that the motherboard is clearly fried? Are there any software programs that might diagnose what the problem is? Could it be as simple as a fried battery?
And most importantly, is this iPod simply toast or is there anything anyone can suggest????
Really any suggestions would be greatly greatly appreciated. Seems a shame to just trash an iPod touch that might need a simple fix...
If it helps matters, I can tinker with iPods somewhat and have torn down and replaced several iPod touch 1g and 2g glass and digitizers with no problems. I'm somewhat software savvy but the whole jailbreak thing is new territory... and I can't really figure out the command in Windows or Mac terminals to list all connected devices so I have no idea if the computer even knows the iPod is there, even if iTunes doesn't. Guess that's it... ummm, please help???

Nothing huh? No one's had this problem or this isn't fixable... oh well... if anybody comes up with anything I'll check in occasionally...

  • IPad mini running 7.0.4 not recognized by iTunes

I got an iPad for xmas, and since I upgraded to iOS 7.0.4 its been unable to connect to iTunes. All my other devices (another iPad mini, iPhone 4, and iPod Touch) all show up on my iTunes except for the new iPad mini. This is the only device I have upgraded to the latest version of iOS, the others range from 6.0 - 7.0, so I assume its some sort of conflict with the iOS update.
I've tried reinstalling iTunes, restarting the devices, reinstalling the Apple Mobile Device Driver, resetting the Apple Mobile Device Service, making sure the Apple USB driver is working, cleaning my registry, resetting all the device settings. I dont want to reset the content unless I have absolutely no choice, as it means a lot of time re-downloading apps that I can't back up since I can't connect to iTunes.
Any idea how to fix this?

  • IPod Touch and iPad Not Recognized by iTunes

When I plug in my iPod Touch and iPad, iTunes does not open, but both devices are recognized by Windows 7. When I open iTunes manually, there is no listing for "Device" at all. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest iTunes version several times to no avail. I'd appreciate any advice on what I can do to solve this problem.

  • IPod Touch is stuck in "connect to iTunes" screen. It is not recognized by iTunes or by my Windows (64-bit) computer.

I recently purchased a new laptop after my old one ceased to function. Therefore, I had lost ,my old iTunes, and my iPod is no longer authorized by a functioning computer. I downloaded the latest version of iTunes, plugged my iPod in, and tried to install the new iPod Touch software update. I got the error message that the installation had failed, and iTunes automatically ejected my iPod, leaving it in the "connect to iTunes" screen, in which it has been stuck ever since (about 9 days now). I have uninstalled and re-installed iTunes, have rebooted my computer numerous times, I have tried various holdings of the power button and home button as recommended on several help forums, etc. to no avail. I am using a Windows 7 (64-bit) system on a brand new HP Pavilion dm4 laptop with plenty of space and the newest version of iTunes installed. My iPod Touch (3G) is not being recognized by iTunes or by my laptop. I would like to, if possible, restore my iPod to original factory settings so that it can be authorized on my new laptop and will sync approrpiately. Any help anyone can provide will be immensely appreciated. Thank you.
Also, the iTunes is the version for a 64-bit Windows OS.

    - First I would remove and reinstall all the Apple software using the following and then restoring the ipOd.
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
    - Next see if manually placing the iPOd in recovery mode will allow a restore. For recovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
    - Next try DFU mode:

    - Next try another computer/cable to help determine if you have a computer or iPod problem.
