    Trying to purchase AmplTtube Fender for $14.99, says insufficient funds; yet I have $15.84? I just changed my password, and my balance is from a 15 minute old 15$ iTunes card, that I just purchased at the local CVS. Why can't the App Store perform simple math anymore? I needed access to this App, well now; I'm playing a show and now I'll be without FX. So thanks Apple, you've screwed me 4 or 5 times now. You owe me, I'm an honest dedicated customer and you rarely have helpful advice nor do you ever make up for your screw ups. I'm about to buy an Android, you guys used to be my favorite; yet I'm getting sick of your lack of commitment, etched in stone rules that only protect your own butt; actually most of your policies don't seem to protect anyone or anything, they just seem like installed ways of manipulation. I'm sorry Im just angry, I know you have our best interest at heart. I'm just sick of losing money when I buy these gift cards... Please help as soon as you can buddies... I've always been a Mac guy.

    I thought about that, but I've looked at my recent recites for other apps and never seen any tax. I checked through the App Store info and nothing about tax is listed for the product, unless its hidden deep in the info buttons. Bummer, this is sort of a scam; dig? I guess it's my fault but they should mention that tax info under the info. How much is tax on $14.99? So this time it's actually my fault. I'd say waste of $15.00 but I'm an App addict, I'll spend it on something. Wish I could use the $25.00 on my other ID, that they froze cos someone hacked my security questions, and told me their was nothing they could do.

  • It's 18th of September and my ipad4 says iOS 6.1.3 up to date, help please?

    Hi it's 18th of September and I want to download iOS 7 on my ipad 4, but it says iOS 6.1.3 up to date help please.

    Supposedly the rollout starts at 12:01 am ET.
    Apple will be "pulsing" the release of iOS 7 to users in staggered waves according to their time zone. Thus evenly distributing the server load and ensuring that everyone that wants it can get it in a reasonable amount of time.

    Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school environment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.

    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.
    My i phone 4 got locked by my small sister plus my laptop was formatted i dont have itunes back up to unlock thei phone what should i do i am puzzeled?? i tried passcode it says i phone is disabled .. some one help please
    Options for when an iOS device gets locked because of forgotten passcode:
    Restore (and reset passcode) on your device by connecting it to the last computer to which it was connected:
    iTunes: Backing up, updating, and restoring iOS software - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414  ( https://discussions.apple.com/message/20025416 - "A restore erases the iPod. If you restore from backup the iPod will be like it was IF the iTunes library includeds [sic] all the synced media like apps and music since those are not included in the backup.")
    If you cannot connect it to the computer to which the device was last connected (or the device was never connected to a computer) you will have to use recovery mode to completely reset the device, losing all data:
    iOS: Unable to update or restore - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 - recovery mode (e.g., cannot connect to computer last used to sync device, iTunes still asks for a password)
    If none of the above work, try:
    DFU mode: http://osxdaily.com/2010/12/04/ipad-dfu-mode/
    How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode - http://geekindisguise.wordpress.com/2009/07/16/how-to-put-ipod-touch-iphone-into -dfu-mode/
    my iPad is disabled - connect to itunes... HELP please
    You will need to connect the iPad to the computer that you normally sync to and you should then be able to reset the iPad and restore/re-sync your content to it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212) - you may need to put the iPad into recovery mode for your computer's iTunes to be able to reset it : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
    If you do it via a different computer then :
    If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.
  • Hi iPad 2 apps are not opening? Can anybody help please.
    Hi iPad 2 apps are not opening? Can anybody help me please.
    If it's happening on all the apps that you've downloaded from the App Store, but the Apple built-in ones are ok, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.
    If it's happening on all apps including Apple's then try closing them all completely and then see if they work when you re-open them : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
    If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
    I can't sign into my Facebook account on my ipad2 it says go to settings and sign in but when I do it says cannot communicate with server anyone able to help please
    Here is a solution that worked for me, after nothing else would. Log out and back in to iTunes on your Mac/PC.
    I had exactly the same problems as above, and no amount of network changes or even a full restore would help.
    Finally, I went back to my PC, launched iTunes, logged OUT of that, then signed in again, this time with the new password.
    Then I had to go back, and properly close Facetime and iMessages and sign in. It worked fine after that.
    (To properly close an application, double click the home button, then hold down on the facetime app logo in the multitasking bar at the bottom, then press the tiny symbol.)
    Best of luck.
    Hi,
    As the Other threads suggests I would check the Date and Time settings on the Mac and compare that with the settings in the router.
    Messages (and iChat before that) send Time stamped info to Login and to send IMs.
    Obviously most people set their Macs to their Time Zone and nearest city/town.
    What people sometimes forget is that their Router/Modem device(s) have to be set correctly as well.
    EDIT
    Also Add a Public DNS server to your System Preferences> Network > Advanced Button > DNS  tab
    A Google one such as 8.8.4.4 or 8.8.8.8 seem to work well for most people
    Hi I want to back up my photos from my iPhone 5. How can I do this? I have an iPad mini but cannot sync to an iPhone as iPad does not have USB port. Can you help please
    You have to back them up to a computer. You would import them either to iPhoto or to the Photos app in your PC:
