Ipad screen broken. HELP!

Hi, my ipad screen broke this morning. It's hasn't cracked, and has always been fine before, but this morning it just went off, then when I pressed the lock button the screen light up slightly, but not the way it should have, sort of a grey colour. After a few taps and tricks on the screen it light up, but it was really fuzzy, a mixture of white, pink and other colours. I can faintly see my background (the apple logo), but after a few seconds it just goes off again. I've looked through some forums but haven't found an answer. I want to try and keep away from the 'go and get it fixed at a shop' route. As all the do is over charge people. Any help is welcomed. Thank you!

You're down to getting it fixed. It sounds like something is physically broken inside.
If your device is still under warranty they MIGHT consider it a manufacturer's defect. If they do, then they'll replace it with a refurbished replacement. If they consider it accidental damage, they might offer you the option of an out of warranty replacement. Which starts at 249 and goes up (if your device is a 64 gig one, it will be more expensive than 249)
You can try unauthorized repair places. If you use them, they might be cheaper, but it's use at your own risk and you will void your warranty (course, if it's expired, doesn't matter)

Apple's warranty doesn't cover accident damage, unless you bought Apple Care + at the time you bought your iPad.

Ipad screen broken. how do I access data to back up before repairing?

I dropped ipad. screen no longer functions. How do I access data from ipad to back up to our computer before having ipad repaired?

Some iPad users have been able to revive their dropped iPad. Turn the iPad over and give it a HARD SLAP on the back. May take several slaps.

If you take it to Apple, you'll get a replacement iPad, so all your files will be gone. Check with some of the 3rd party repair places below. They should be able to repair your iPad with the files intact.

From here, you can see if your still In-Warrenty, you don't need the warrenty papers.
I used my iTouch to show you what I mean. IF the two orange icons (above) show, that means your out-of-warrenty.

I was in college and my ipad sleve from my hand and the screen crashed, I can use it normaly but the screen is broken. A friend told me that if took it to an Apple Store and give them like 100$ or 200$ they give me an New iPad. its that true? and if they dont do that, what are my solutions?

No, not an issue at all - just cheaper to get it replaced for accidental damage - $49 plus tax. But take it into your Apple Store by all means. I'm not sure what the replacement cost is, but having anyone mess with it except Apple at this point would put it out of Warranty.
Here is a link for iPad Service, but I couldn't find anything specific about the replacement cost when you do not have an AppleCare plan. However, I do know that they will replace it for a flat fee.... Here's the link FYI:

Accidental damage (which is what a broken screen is) is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. If you bought apple care plus, then it is covered for a fee.
If you do not have apple care plus, then the fee to replace a device with a broken screen starts at 219 for the mini and goes up depending on the model.

Ipad screen broken....internally?

Ok so here's what happened. I accidentally dropped my ipad yesterday on the ground. When it landed on the ground, the glass on my screen looked just fine, but then i noticed an internal crack. On the side with the internal crack, my sensor will not work. I swiped my finger on the side of the screen with the crack so that i could scroll but nothing happened. On the other side of the screen with no crack, i swiped my finger to scroll and it worked fine. So basically the side with the crack's sensor wont work and the side with no crack does. All i just want to know is 1. is the internal crack fixable and will fixing it fix my sensor too and 2. how much does it cost to fix the internal crack?

Yesterday night while returning from the library, I accidentally dropped my ipad2 straight onto the concrete from about 4 feet. And of course, upon inspection, the screen had cracked nearly the entire length of the ipad. Also, the corner was really damaged.
So, this morning I took it to the apple store and explained exactly what happened, and the guy says "no problem, we'll replace it for free this one time". I was extremely surprised this happened, that's pretty amazing CS. So, in a few days I have to go back to the apple store to pick up the ipad.
Does anyone know if apple supplies a brand new replacement ipad2 or is at a refurbished model?

My Nokia 6230i screen went blank, so I need some information how to get my Bluetooth on to syncronise my address book.
I only need the number combinations to get the Bluetooth on, everything else is set, because I synchronise pretty often.
So, I know that the Settings is 4 and the Connections is 7, but after that I do not remember where to go next.

If the reset doesn't do it then it's possible that the backlight or another part of your screen has broken. Unfortunately it's not really user servicible. I'd make an appointment at your local apple store and have them check it out. If your device is still under warranty and they don't determine that the damage was the result of 'abuse or neglect' (their words) then it could be a free replacement.
I'd just do a backup before you take it in, just in case.
