Ipad screen frozen -_-

my ipad screen is stuck,i went to turn it in and it said cannot backup to icloud everytime i try and say later it stays and is impossible for me to turn it on and off, i can still use siri however but doesnt help i need some help to remove this popoup very iritataing

I was prompted to to update my ipad and the screen has been frozen despite numerous attempts to restore it to original via itunes.

No, the iTunes icon and the cable mean that it's in recovery mode, you will need to connect it to a computer's iTunes so that you can reset it - you can then restore/resync your content to it

Yup, kind of like anything else you accidentally break that is more cost effective to replace than to repair. Keep that iPad away from the toddler

Have you tried resetting your iPad?
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
No data will be lost.

IPad started acting up, so I reset and now all I get is the apple icon and I can't even turn it off screen frozen and has been for about 18 hours

I hope you have a backup if you don't want to lose your iPad contents. You have to restore the iPad now using iTunes on your computer. That's what the message on the screen means.

If it's just Safari that's frozen then try clearing ites cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data and also Clear History
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset (or if the whole iPad is frozen) : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

THis suggestion also worked for my iphone! After a few warnings, the screen on my iPhone froze. there was no way to make phone calls or manage my iCloud storage or even turn it off. I deleted all the photos on my iphone, checked storage and nothing changed. So I purchased more storage, did the backup and still the screen remained frozen. To be sure, I checked that the new amount of storage was registered, it was but somehow my Mac showed the backup I had just performed (a couple of times) not having happened (it show the last one some 2 weeks before). Weird but I followed your suggestion (wish I had seen it before I purchased new storage) and Ta DAH!!! I'm back in business too. thanks!!

In addition to the above I also recommend Apple's Pages ($19.99). All of these options allow you to open, edit, and save Word-formatted documents and spreadsheets. I use OpenOffice and Pages and have been completely Microsoft - free for over a year now. Life is better without Microsoft.
