IPad screen locks up when attempting to stream video?

When attempting to stream from the BBC Iplayer or NOW TV the screen locks up and I have to switch the pad off/on to get back to the main icon screen. I have reloaded both apps, no change.

1. Close all inactive apps.
2. Reset iPad
3. Try streaming video again.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

I am getting the error 'An error occurred in lock management when attempting to set a lock on table SWWWIHEAD.'
Sometimes the workitem is not created by the Workflow due to above error & this happens rarely but keeps coming.
cany anyone guide or help me how to correct this problem.Is it happening due to my custom code making locks on the above table?

I think you should not use any code to lock the table SWWWIHEAD. Please let us know why you are writing code to put lock on this table.

Hey JoeiPod14, The battery meter whether you use the icon (which is better and uses less power) or the percentage, shows you the battery life remaining based on current power use. In others words as Illaass has stated it will fluctuate wildly. Example: You turn on your iPod it shows 90%, start gaming, let's say it's an online, high end graphics game. Your percent drops quickly to 65%, then you stop the game and start listening to listen to music on your iPod and the percent goes back up to 80%. In each case, the battery meter is showing you how much battery you life you have based on what you were doing at the time. Bottom line the harder the iPod has to work, the less time you will have to work / use it before the next charge. (I know-- duh!) Think of your battery meter as a gas tank gauge, it does not tell you when or where you will run out if gas or this case power only that it is close, if near empty. Oh, your question why it drops, even when I the charger, I assuming your iPod / iPhone was a sleep, powered down-- not working the CPU very hard, when you wake the device up there is power draw, so you see the fluctuations you have described, once the power surge stabilizes you get the current percent. Protocol error usually indicates that the very leftmost part of the URL is not recognized.
So http://, ftp://, rtsp://, usually work.
ableton:// would need to be added by some software somewhere...

It seems your iPhone is slowing down and not responding frequently. To rectify this issue you may want to consider performing a restore on the device, and then restoring your data from a backup via iCloud or iTunes.
If the issue persists after restoring your backup, you would then want to consider restoring the device and setting it up as new. Below I have linked to article which offers guidance on both of these restore methods:

My MBA fans start running when I play video too - the CPU's video processor is working pretty hard to decode the video. The fans job is to provide better airflow. The time to worry is when you play video and the fans don't run.

Hi, my IPad is driving me nuts! Can anyone help please?
I can be in the middle of anything ( games, apps, typing, banking, etc. etc.) and with the slightest movement or nudge - the screen locks itself and goes black??
I then have to press the home button, slide to unlock it - and it opens back up to exactly where I was.
This happens constantly, and is so frustrating!

Zen screen goes black and locks up when attempting to dock to compu

When attempting to dock my Zen to my computer, it first starts like it is attempting to dock and then the screen goes black and the player locks up. I have to reset it in order to get it to come back on. This happens when trying to dock with Zen Media Explorer and Media Monkey. I have tried it on another computer and it happens there too. Help!

You are talking about a Creative Zen MP3 2/4/8/6/32 GB (flash) player?
Then check if you have the latest firmware on your Zen?
If you do have the latest firmware e.g. < Latest revision [.2.0] 28Feb08> then
try this:
Recovery Mode - If you experience one or more of the following symptoms, it is recommended that you boot the player into its unique Recovery Mode, and then clean up, format or reload the firmware.

When I am streaming videos there is a dark green tint to the darker colors on the screen.

When I am streaming a video, there are dark green shades to some of the darker areas on the screen. For instance if someone in the video has dark hair, there are green tints to the hair. It almost looks like a color negative, but not quite. This has just started happening. I've had my mac book pro for about 2 months.

Could you please give us a picture of what is going on. This is a picture of what the top of Safari looks like when I go to the Help menu. I typed in the word cache and a number of options appeared below. Is this not happening for you?

I had the exact same problem. My phone came back from the repair center and had this issue. There are other threads on the same topic but no one seems to have a solution.
