IPad stopped changing orientation. Audio/orientation switch is correct. What did I change?

I am learning to use my new iPad. While checking it out, I must have done something to make it stop orienting between portrait and landscape. I know I moved the switch in setup/general/audio but I moved it back. When I move the actual switch on the side of the pad, it indicates sound is on or muted. The orientation will not move in any area I use the iPad. What did I do to make this change and how do I fix it?

Is there a lock symbol at the top of the screen next to the battery indicator ? If so, then depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (rotation lock or mute notifications), then you can lock/unlock the rotation by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. I would try plugging in the HDMI from the ATV to a different HDMI port on your TV and even trying the ATV on a different TV altogether...sounds like the HDMI port on your TV might be bad or a bad connection. Keep in mind you'll need to switch the TV input to the new HDMI port

You are describing an iTunes problem, not an iPod touch problem. Try posing in the iTunes forum.

To change the iCloud ID on your iOS devices, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID. This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account, your data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
To avoid losing photo stream photos, save these to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account (tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll).

Changing personal domain from enom to .mac--what did I leave out?

Help! I have been reading all of the great advice posted, but am still not having success. I'm sure I probably left something out, but this is what I have done so far:
I am changing my domain name with enom to .mac and have made the following changes: I have changed the www to web.mac.com/mymembername/iweb/mysitename and chose url redirect. I also put web.mac.com for the cname alias, with mydomain.com (no www) in the address portion. Was I suppose to edit the dns server info by adding the numeric equivalent of my personal domain? Also, I have seen opposing opinions on whether or not to change the A address(s).
I have also confirmed that .mac recognizes my domain name. However, when I type in my address, it turns into the web.mac....but an Apple error page shows error code #424 trouble syncing...etc. What does that mean?
By the way, it has been 48 hours since my changes (above.) I would so appreciate some help. Thanks!

There are no media files on the mac mini just the library files and on external just media files..
Do I need to copy anything over from the old mac mini ? xml files ? .. the itunes folder on old mini is about 840mb in size which looks to have artwork ect ? .. I am fairly computer literate, but this one has me stumped.. ?

Both Firefox 12 & 13 take forever to load all websites. Firefox 11 works great. What did you change to cause this problem starting with 12?

I keep having to go back to 11. Supposedly 12 was to be faster. Instead it takes minuets to load every website. I have tried several betas of 13 with the same problem.

Did you try a new profile for the Firefox 13 version?
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

When i set up my iPad 2, apple asked for my phone number. What did they do with it?

Just curious. It said something about sms but when i open messages, i can still onlhy send imessages.

This phone number is used to verify your identity when using your iCloud Security Code e.g. when setting up Keychain.

What did I change? Sound issues!

Ok, everything has been running great!!! Until this morning I booted up my computer, and the windows music at startup started crackling like crazy. Same thing in Battlefield and in UT2003 when the game is loading the levels. It's like the sound slows down, and start to crack. When the level is loaded, everything is fine. My mobo is a KTVL and I'm using onboard sound (not a SB Live card!!!). Any suggestions?

Well, I decided to leave the issue alone because it wasn't too big of deal...until it started happeneing while playing games. Everything would slow down, and the sound would start doing a weird slow motion crackling thing. So, i ripped the Primary and Secondar IDE channels from the device manager and restarted. Everything reinstalled, uncluding my hard disks and cdrom....and viola, everything now working properly. STRANGE!
I had tried everything else, and nothing seemed to help but this.

Music app does not have the function to change the audio source.

I use to change my audio source in my music app with the icon that looks like a triangle going into a rectangle i think it is call airplay, but it not there any more and what it is weir is that others app does have it so if i change my audio source in a video online it will change it in my music too..... Well i hope i could explain my self clear enough. Just put the airplay icon back in the music app. Thanks for your attention.

Audio shuttling . . . WHAT CHANGED ??

I could sworn, for years, that when in the timeline if I hit the "L" key rapidly 2 or more times - everything speeds up, or slows down with the "J" key - including the audio!
But now, as I drag the playhead, OR hit the "L" key - I no longer hear the audio shuttling by. I like to hear it rushing by, because even at double speed, i can understand it.
But it's silent now - no audio shuttling sound!! Grrrr . . . . What did I change? I've looked at the User and System prefs in FCPro - but can't find anything that looks like I changed it? I have version 7.02.
Anybody know what I did wrong? It's driving me NUTS!

Rebate Agreement - No correction due to value change

Dear Friends,
I am facing a problem in Rebates. When I am opening the Rebates Agreement, the system prompts the following message "The sales volume for agreement _________ is not current." I have tried using the T-Code VBOF but the system prompts for the following error -
9202507314 (Billing Doc No) No correction due to value change
9202507363 (Billing Doc No) No correction due to value change
I have checked both the billing Document and checked for changes but there is not changes that was made to the billing Document.
Kindly suggest a solution.

I have the same problem while running VBOF few billing documents are showing as not updated with the message "No correction due to value change".
But I have found that those documents are belongs to other agreements of the same customer number.
Can you please help me, which sap note should apply to over come this error message.

IPad 2 stuck in portrait, mute switch locks orientation and mutes at the same time.

Ok, since I've had the iPad this problem has gone from bad to worse. Originally my iPad would get stuck in an orientation for random period of time and then unfreeze. Hours or days I would never know. If it was in landscape and I needed it in portrait I could just reboot and it would revert to portrait but not the other way around. It's been struck for 3 or 4 days now in portrait and now a new bugmhas appeared. Setting the hardware button to mute works fine, but still the software orientation button is useless. Only now, if I switch then hardware button to orientation lock, it tells me I'm muted and I'm orientation locked at the same time. And the software button works for the mute now. Need help. Thanks.

Yes, you can. You can configure the Side Switch (above the volume button) either as Mute switch or Rotation lock.
Settings > General > Use Side Switch to: choose what you like the Side Switch to function as.

I am using the Optical Out from the Apple TV to my receiver, the Apple TV is hard Wired to the Network, the IPAD is Wirelessly attached to the network (it continues to play the Audio Stream). When the Apple TV is turned back on it resumes playing once I manual select it for output from the IPAD. All device are on current releases of software. I have no Video hooked up to the Apple TV. How do I correct this?

Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

Does anyone know how to change to landscape orientation in Pages for iPhone 4s and iPad?

The functionality on an iPhone is greatly diminished when having to work in potrait mode due to the screen size; it really becomes a bit useless.
It seeems a no-brainer; I guess that's why I asked on the forum.
Maybe someone else knows more.?

Is there a way to get an iPad to play one audio track and stop.
I work in education and particularly music. Teachers are looking to create a playlist of selected track but only want the selected track to play then stop.
This allows them to talk to the class during presentation and not worry about having to stop playback mid discussion.
I've been successful doing this from appleTVs homeshared to a library by unchecking songs in the playlist. But It would be useful to instructors who have there own media on their device.

The only way to stop after a song is to create a playlist consisting of only that song.
