Ipad stopped remembering passwords

Ipad stopped remembering passwords.  I just updated and now it will not remember usernames or passwords. I verified the safari setting to remember passwords is on.  Found several other links complaining about this, but no fix. Is this a ML issue or Safari?

I'm having this problem as well. It seems like it was a more recent firefox update. I temporary solved this by deleting my sqlite keyfile as described in another post I found in a different forum, but it's since reoccured.
After I restart my system and run firefox, it's like it's running right after an update, or an install. None of my settings are saved, and password and cookies don't appear to be loaded either.
Is there any debug information I can provide?
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and Firefox 3.6.13.
Oddly if I close and restart Firefox it's fine. It's only after a Windows restart that I see an issue. Disk check runs clean. I've also deleted my profile directory and had FF recreate it. Still having issues though.

    You may have to do this several times.
    Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school environment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.

    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.
    If you've forgotten the passcode to unlock your iPad then there are instructions on this page for how to reset the iPad (your iPad doesn't need to be connected to the internet) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212
    If your computer's iTunes isnt recognising the iPad when you connect it then have you got a recent version of iTunes installed on your computer ? There are also troubleshooting pages for a device not showing in iTunes on these pages :
    Mtorwy,
    There are many versions of SimplePass, many versions of Windows, lots of models of computers -- many versions of the fingerprint drivers.
    There is a lot that can go wrong.
    It may be that the database is just "stuck".
    Start with the section named Pile of Rubble in the following Dragon Document:
    Simple Instructions to Upgrade HP SimplePass
    There is a lot of other information in the document.
    As a matter of note:  The "remember passwords" function is in Settings.  When the program is performing correctly, this feature should not stop working on its own.
    If the Pile of Rubble - Hard Reset fails to provide the desired results, consider trying other repair options in the document.
    For example, You might try the following Sections in the document (in order):
    Export Webcards
    Complete Backups
    Create Restore Point
    (Re) Install the Existing Fingerprint Driver from the Device Manager
    If you are running Series 6 SimplePass then:
    SimplePass Repair – Series 6
    OR, if you are running Series 8 SimplePass, then:
    HP SimplePass Software >> sub-section Series 8 >> (Re)Install the latest version of the software over the top of your existing software
    You may, of course, use any / all-of the information in the document as needed and according to your situation.
  • Simple pass stopped remembering my passwords
    My Simple Pass fingerprint reader was working fine.  When I went to Internet sites that I needed to log in to, I could just swipe my finger.
    All of a sudden for no reason that I can think of, it no longer gave me the option of swiping my fingerprint to log in to Web sites.  I still can use it when I start up, but not for Web sites.
    I also can't find how to turn the "remember passwords" feature on again.
    Thanks for any help.
  • How can I make firefox remember passwords on ALL sites?
    Firefox has a feature to remember my passwords, which is very useful. However, some sites mess with this so they won't save my passwords. In some cases these sites turn "autocomplete" off for the password field in their html; in other cases they appear to use some kind of javascript magic to stop me from saving my passwords.
    First of all, why should websites try to stop me from saving my password? Do they really think its more secure if people have to write their passwords on stickynotes on their monitor to remember them--or worse, use the same password on all sites? I what way is it conceivably more secure? In any case it's MY business how I manage my passwords--not theirs!
    I have had some success in battling evil sites that try to stop my from saving my passwords by editing the nsLoginManager.js file. But this is not convenient as I must keep doing this every time firefox gets upgraded, and it doesn't work for some sites like American Express which I think use some sort of javascript to stop me from doing what I want.
    So my question is, how can I effectively make firefox remember ALL the passwords I want, when _I_ want to--and NOT obey evil websites that just want to practice CYA while actually making me LESS secure?
    You can use the Remember Password bookmarklet: <br />
    https://www.squarefree.com/bookmarklets/forms.html#remember_password <br /> ''Has worked for me when I have needed it to save a password on a web site that used autocomplete=off.'' As far as the Bug that '''cor-el''' linked, I can't remember ever running across a website that did it like that.
    Or, you can use the Saved Password Editor extension, which includes a means of manually adding Username/Passwords to Firefox. <br />
  • My iPad stopped picking up my broadband.  How can I get it back?
    My iPad stopped connecting to my broadband about three weeks ago, very suddenly (and so did my iPhone).  After trying different methods to get it back (switching wi-fi on-and off, restarting iPad, etc), I updated to iOS 7. That made no difference.
    About a week ago, it started picking up the broadband in other places (both with free wi-fi, and at my daughter's, which needs entering a password).  Then two days ago my iPhone (which had the same problem) suddenly started connecting with my home broadband, without my doing anything at all about it.  But the iPad hasn't.  It picks up my emails though GPRS which is very weak, anything in Safari takes a long time to load, if at all, and many apps do not work.
    My Apple computer has continued connecting to broadband normally throughout.
    What can I do about it?  Thank you in advance for any tips!
    Have you tried to power cycle your router? As in unplug it, plug it back in and let it reboot.
  • Never remember password option fails to add site to Exceptions list
    In Firefox 24.0, I visit a website and enter username/password. Popup asks if I want to remember the password. I select Never Remember Password for this Site. I logout and log back-in. After entering username/password, I'm asked again if I want to Remember Password.
    Privacy tab: Always use private browsing mode is unchecked
    Security tab: when I click Exceptions, there is nothing showing in the popup window
    How do I get FF to add the website to the exceptions list so it will stop asking if I want to Remember Password everytime I visit the site?
    Password Manager settings
    Firefox will remember passwords by default. You may have disabled this feature, or told Firefox to never remember passwords for a particular site.
    At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button and then select Options .
    Select the Security panel.
    If it isn't already check marked, check Remember passwords for sites.
    To the right of Remember passwords for sites, click the Exceptions… button .
    Make sure that the site you're trying to log in to isn't in the list.
    If it is, select the entry and click Remove.
    Click Close.
    Click OK to close the Options window .
