IPad suddenly no longer shows in iTunes
Up until about a week or two, any time I would open iTunes (Windows 7 PC) my iPad would show up on the left as a wireless device. Now it no longer shows unless I directly plug it in, and my iPad is definitely connected to the WiFi. I did just update to the most recent iTunes and that didn't change anything.
I did also try restarting both the computer and the iPad.
EDIT: Looks like it works now. It just takes about a minute for it to show up. It used to be almost instant. I was going to remove this post but I don't see an option to do so.

Months of air travel and general knocking around of the device has obviously made the connection a bit tetchy. I'm very shame-faced for such a schoolgirl error!

The cable works on my iPhone 5, so it's not the USB port nor the cable itself. My iPhone 5 and iPhone 4 are both recognized by iTunes and iPhoto, however suddenly today I couldn't sync my iPad.

Hi guys. After updating to 7.0.6 my iphone 5s is no longer showing in itunes. Strangley it is recognised by my PC (windows 8) when I click on my computer. I have tried reinstalling itunes and making sure the drivers are up to date, but this has made no difference. Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone have any advice? Thanks

Close the videos app and launch it again.
To close an app, drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
if they still don't show up after you launch the app again, try resetting the iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -

My iPad suddenly started to show crazy colors. I turned it off. It would not reboot until I used the two-button reboot. Now it shows only green stripes. only for a few seconds and goes back to sleep. HELP!
Standard troubleshooting...
1. Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
2. Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider if, it comes up. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
3. Remove all apps from Recently Used list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Tap and hold any icon in this list until they wiggle
- Press the red to delete all apps from this list.
- Press the home button twice when done.
4. If still a problem restore with your backup.
5. If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue. -
plugged in brand new ipad that is still showing the 'itunes' and usb lead as a sign to connect to itunes before it will even start up and my computer is detecting the Apple IPAD 2 camera but Itunes is not picking it up? whats going wrong?
If you're really trying to use Windows 2000, then that's the problem. As you'll see on the box, you need at least XP/SP3.

IPad suddenly reads only "connect to iTunes"
My iPad was working fine, then all of a sudden went dead with the apple logo only. I pressed Home button and power button at same time and "connect to iTunes" was displayed only. I connected to my laptop and it gave me only the option to restore to factory settings. Will this completely wipe all of my photos and apps OFF of my iPad? Is there any other way to unlock or salvage all of my data?

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you are having with your iPad. A Factory Restore will remove all data and settings from your iPad, but so long as you have been backing up to either iCloud or iTunes, you should be able to restore your data from the backup. Ipad 1 no longer connects to itunes
Updated both my iTunes to the most current and my iPad 1 to 5.1.1. Now it no longer connects to iTunes and gets an error message.

It sounds like you’re tapping Trust when you see the Trust This Computer alert on your iPad, but the device isn’t appearing in iTunes. Take a look at the two articles linked below, and Reset Location & Privacy settings if you see the alert each time you connect your iPad to your iMac, then follow the suggestions in the second article to resolve the iPad recognized by iTunes issue.
'Trust This Computer' alert on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you tap Trust, the computer will be trusted until you untrust all computers or you erase the device. If you tap Don't Trust, you'll see this alert each time you connect your device to that computer.
If you're using iOS 8 or later: To untrust all computers, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Location & Privacy. This will also reset your location and privacy settings. You can also untrust all computers by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will also reset your network settings.

Ipad 2 does not show in itunes
My ipad 2 was completely dead last night so I plugged it in to charge using the 10W wall charger that came with it and noticed that it did not vibrate when I plugged it in nor did it show the lightning bolt showing it was charging. I left it alone from a few hours and when I checked, it was up to 12%. Normally a few hours will almost fully charge it. I swapped out a few different cables, chargers, and even plugged it into my mac USB, and none of them vibrated and showed the lightning bolt. When I plug it into my Mac, it does not show in iTunes at all under devices. I plugged in my iPhone and iPod and both showed instantly. I decided to leave the paid charge overnight on the wall charger to see what would happen.
This morning it was up to 53%. I updated the iPad 2 software to iOS 5.1.1, updated iTunes to 10.6.1, updated all software on my Mac (I have OS X 10.6.8) and still doesnt show in iTunes and none of the chargers or cables make it vibrate when plugged in and none show the charging bolt. I deleted iTunes and the Apple Mobile Device driver and then reinstalled thinking perhaps the mobile device driver was messed up - didnt help.
On the iPad 2, I went to settings/general/reset/reset network settings - no help.
Of course, throughout this I have reset my Mac several times, reset the iPad both by sliding the bar to shut down and by holding down the reset button & home button at the same time until the Apple logo appears, and as stated above tried several wall chargers and USB cables that works on my other i products. So I do not think its something obvious like that.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I can see my iphone in itunes, but when I plug my ipad in, nothing. Not on any computer. I have always been able to sync and charge with no trouble. Now my ipad is slowly turning in to a door stop.

Apps no longer show in iTunes 12
When I'm in iTunes 12 and click on apps they no longer show up. Where did they go? They show on the iPhones pages 1,2, and 3 but not in the sidebar.
You have to get to the display above from the upper left corner of iTunes, by clicking the iPhone icon here:
You cannot get there by simply clicking the iPhone icon in the sidebar of some other display (e.g., music). -
Itunes store link no longer showing in itunes v8
After upgrading to Itunes V8 I can no longer get to the Itunes store. The link is no longer in the Itunes left navigation pane.
Libary (with Music, Movies, TV shows as a sub menu - no Podcast?) and Playlists are there. Has anybody else had this problem and does anybody know how to fix it?i found the answer - in Edit, Preferences the parental controls were set to disable access to the itunes store
