IPad suddenly went dark...
I was using my iPad and turned it off and put it in the case. A moment later, I retrieved iPad from its case and it is not responding. I have tried a hard reset, pressing the home key, attempted to sync it to my computer. it is not responding at all, to anything. the screen is dark. my computer is not recognizing it at all. I've had this iPad for 1 month, maybe. Any suggestions?
when I initially turned it off, I merely turned off the screen. I didn't fully shut the iPad off using the off button or the red slider. Technically, it should be on "stand by", right? I looked at the manual. Thank you for directing me to page 170. I pressed the "off" button and the "home" key simultaneously, and it rebooted, and is now syncing to the computer. I'm not really sure what happened there, but everything appears to be working fine, now. thank you.

Make sure it's plugged into power for at least 5 minutes, then try holding down the top power button and home button for 15-30 seconds. You may get it to reboot.

New iPad Air 2 screen suddenly went blank and want respond or turn on or off. Hook up to Mac and iTunes recognises its there etc.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?Try resetting your device: Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). If the Apple appears, the reset is in progress, and the Slide to Unlock screen will display shortly.
Be sure that your device is charged. If you are not sure, then hook it up to a charger and wait 5 minutes before resetting.

MacBook Pro's dispaly suddenly went dark, why?
While I was doing research online, my MacBook Pro's screen suddenly went and stayed dark. There was no warning, no previous sign of trouble. The computer was plugged into to its AC power supply. I turned it off with the power button, waited a minute then turned it on again, the familiar chime signifying a healthy Mac sounded, but the display remained dark. I shut it down again, the restarted using the key combination for resetting the P RAM (command/option/p/r) the P RAM was reset several times (all with familiar healthy Mac chime) but the display remained dark. What's going on. Later I will attempt to start from a DiskWarrior DVD to help determine whether this is a software or hardware problem. (If the disk starts normally and the screen lights up that would indicate a software issue, if not then it would suggest a hardware problem. I would be most appreciative any insight or help. Thanks in advance
As the screen is dark all the time, I would say it is a hardware issue (it happens when OS X is not loaded too), probably referred to the display. However, I would recommend you to take the Mac to an Apple Store or reseller for a diagnose in order to know what it is failing in your MacBook Pro.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this. -
My phone suddenly went dark. But is still operational???
I was using my iphone as per regular and for reasons unknown the display shutoff and hard reseting it dosen't do a thing. The weird part is that it's still operational as my ringtone goes off when people call me. I'm trying to restore it from itunes but it prompts me to turn off findmyiphone via my iphone. That is not possible as the entire display is black. Help is greatly appreciated.

I inherited a 3rd gen iPad recently and reconfigured it with a new passcode etc. I used it earlier today without any problem then turned it off and set it to charge. When I disconnected the cord and pressed the wake also switch it opened to the passcode screen. Before I had entered three of the many letters of my pass code the screen went dark and I can not get it to come on again. What have I done and what do I do now???

After latest update my iPad (no camera) screen went dark (dim) & blank. At first I could not power off. At some point voice said setup incomplete. In every language. Took someones advise turned off voice over in itunes.. that stopped the voices. itunes identifies and syncs but ipad screen remains blank (dimly lit). Home screen appeared for moment couple of times as well as wifi setup but disappeared as soon as i started to enter info. Hear swipe see nothing! HELP!
