Ipad switch from regular storage to Icloud storage, how is this done?

I have an IPad and I am trying to download video but it says I don't have enough memory, so I bought memory from the cloud it will not recognize the new storage? How do I switch it so whem I download it recognizes memory from cloud? Thanks!

Downloading a video to your iPad requires more memory on your iPad, not more storage in your iCloud account.  Check Settings>General>Usage to see how much available space is listed in the Storage section.  If you're out of space, the only thing you can do is delete something from your iPad to free up more space.  Make sure you either back up the data you plan to delete, or delete something that is already in your iTunes library and can be synced back to your device.

Generally, using a different program than Lightroom, e.g. Photoshop.
Note: you can remove objects in Lightroom by stringing dust-spot removal bubbles across them, but that may or may not be preferrable. If you do go that route, it may be essential to position strategically *after* initial placement.

  • Moving music from my ipod to my itunes, how is this done?

hey, how do i sync my itunes with my ipod and not the other way around? my ipod is composed of two slightly overlapping itunes, one from my computer at work the other at home... how do I set my itunes at home to my ipod?

If you are using iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.
For all other non purchased music (your own CDs etc) try this method which works on some Windows PCs.
Enable your iPod for disk use.
    See: iPod Disk Use.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it can be messy.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Another free program is Pod Player.
There is also CopyPod. This does preserve ratings/playcounts etc if those are important to you but this program is not free. It also supports video transfer.

  • Have iCloud account, have changed e-mail address, can't edit iCloud account, how is this done?

How do I edit my iCloud account?

OK, After an hour or so, I found a resolution to this if anyone runs into the problem as described above.
I had to go into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar
Select my iCloud account and turn off all the components
    Mail > Off
    Contacts > Off
    Calendars > Off
    Reminders > Off
    Safari > Off
    Notes > Off
    Passbook > Off
    Photo Stream > Off
    Documents and Data > Off
    Find My iPhone > Off
The only component that stalled for awhile was Calendars. I am not sure why as I dont have any data there. Once everything was turned off, I was able to Delete the iCloud account. I cannot explain this behaviour, but it worked.

Unfortunately there is little you can do, Lion will not run on your machine.
However it is possible to access some features of iClould while staying with SL. If you go to iCloud you will see the web interface for the cloud.
Some but not all functionality is here. Check it out and see if it meets your needs.

  • How can I upgrade my MacBook3,1 to switch from mobel me to icloud?

I have a MacBook 3,1. Version 10.6.8 snow leopard.  How can I upgrade to Lion so I can switch from mobile me to icloud?  I use a iMac 10.10 OS X Yosemite for all of my work, but going overseas, and was hoping to update the MacBook to use while I'm there.  I could use icloud to access all I need.  Could someone please give me suggestions?  It could also use more memory, and speed.
    Thanks,
    Christiana

Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, check if the computer has at least 2GB of RAM, and if it does, click here and order a download code for Lion 10.7.
Back up your data and check your applications for compatibility before upgrading. In particular, Mac OS X 10.7 and newer don't support PowerPC programs such as versions of Microsoft Office prior to 2008.

  • My ipad 2 pictures were restored using iCloud. How do I delete those pictures from my iPad?

My ipad 2 pictures were restored using icloud. How do I delete those pictures?

Photos restored from iCloud are photos in the camera roll, those photos can be removed via the trash can icon. Open the camera roll. Tap on all of the photos that you want to delete, tap the trash can icon in the upper left to get the delete option.
You can also go through each photo in slideshow mode and tap the trash can icon at the bottom to get the delete option.

Try connecting the iPad to the computer that you do not want to WiFi sync with and uncheck the WiFi sync option in iTunes. Then click on Apply. Reboot the iPad and see if that does the trick.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Did you see a "Bookmark" tab in your Menu Bar? All of your IE Favorites should be there if you pull it down.
FYI, It's called Bookmarks in Firefox.

  • I understand you can transfer photos from Picasa to my ipad using an ipod. How is this done?

I want to transfer photos from my PC laptop (Picasa)  to my ipad. Someone told me I can do this via my ipod. How is this done?

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

  • I want to establish a new and separate Apple ID from my husband's.  We have six Apple devices between us that are aleady associated with our current joint ID.How is this done?

I want to establish a new and separate Apple ID from my husband's.  We have six Apple devices between us that are aleady associated with our current joint ID.How is this done?

In order to have a separate 5GB of storage he would need to have his own iCloud account with a separate ID.  You can still share the same ID for iTunes; it does not need to be the same as the ID used for iCloud.
In order to migrate his phone to a separate account, begin by saving any photo stream photos that he wants to keep on his phone to the camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos he wants to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud on his phone, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud.  Other devices still using the account will not be effected by this.)  When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, choose Keep On My iPhone.  Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom).  Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to his new account.
Finally, if there is any merged data in the accounts you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want from each account.
