IPad Sync - Videos not appearing - Blank screen

I recently updated to 4.2.1 on my iPad. In iTunes it shows as syncing and everything works except for my videos. When I touch the video button a blank screen appears, whereas before the list of videos would come up. I tried to "convert" them for iPad but the videos are already in the right format.

Same issue. I've rebooted my iPad, I've restored my iPad. It just happened recently. I was showing a friend the iPad and when I selected the "Videos" icon, the page appeared, but it was blank/black. I did get the spinner a couple of times, but the screen still remains blank/black. The top bar remains with Cell Strength, Provider, Time, Rotation, Battery Percentage and Battery Icon.
Don't know what happened, it was working fine last week.
I am still able to view videos that have been stored in my "Pictures"

Why do some pages not appear on screen?

My wife is using the latest version of Keynote. Apparently some pages of text are not appearing on screen when she gives presentations in schools. This has happened across several projectors but the presentation runs fine on the computer! I have met problems like this with video codecs but never just basic pages of text. I presume that things like fonts are irrelevant in this context?

Thanks for this. My wife can't remember which version she used to create the presentation. She still has both versions on board but this sometimes creates issues when she is in a classroom. I had suggested that the newer version was now maturing but it sounds like she will still need to keep both versions installed. I wonder if content could be copied and pasted into the newer version to overcome this problem? Once again thanks for your help.

In Options -- General -- I want the option to "Show my windows and tabs from last time" AND "Show my homepage", but that choice isn't given. When I open a new tab, I'd like to see my iGoogle page, not a blank screen. Hope you can help. D

You can middle-click or Ctrl left-click the Home button on the Navigation toolbar to open the Home page in a new tab.

TS3274 iPad Mini did not appear as drive device

My iPad mini did not appear as a drive device in my laptop after I had plug in but my iTunes did appeared. Anyone knows how to do a setting?

Conversation does not appear on screen

One particular instant messaging conversation does not appear on screen. I am notified when a new message is sent to me, and when I hover over the Skype icon on the Windows toolbar I can see the icon for the conversation window, but the conversation itself does not appear. All other conversations appear just fine. It happens to be a running conversation with my boss, so I really would like to fix it. Currently when I get a message in this conversation I have to use Skype on my phone to participate in the conversation, but it is much faster to type on my computer keyboard than on my phone. Thanks for your help.

Computer clock time is correct. No, it hasn't been wrong, or at least I have never had to reset the time, it's always been correct. This is the only conversation this is happening with. It's still happening. I have to go to my phone to message in this particular conversation. My boss was on leave for awhile and so this conversation was inactive for a couple of months. It was working fine before she left. One more piece of info ... I used to have two monitors, now I'm using only one. But switching to one monitor didn't affect any of the other conversations I participate in.

So then this means your Energy Saver preferences are corrupted somewhere. I would at least backup your data in case something else gets corrupted by a damaged directory, or the hard drive is beginning to show signs of its dying, or you find you might later need to repair your directory. Regardless, I wouldn't update your software until you find out why your Energy Saver doesn't work properly with the only third party item being a display.

No - I get the message basically saying "Can't run program while Firefox is running. Please close down Firefox & try again".
I rebooted my computer and it all works now - but that's weird it was happening before. Kinda weirded out that it happened at all.
To avoid that happening again, I still wanna know what to do to avoid it or fix it for next time. Thanks

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Video not appearing in Android folio

Hi all,
Strange problem with a web overlay and streaming vid in an Android folio. Here's the story;
Ive placed a web content overlay on a page by itself. When viewed in the Android viewer, the audio track of the video plays, but no video appears.
I can view the video successfully in the tablet's (Xoom) browser. I don't know what the encoding specs are for the video, but it works perfectly on the iPad version of the folio. It also displays properly in the Content Viewer on my laptop.
Mind you, this isnt an inline audio & video -- this is streaming, using a web content overlay. So the "fullscreen" setting work around doesnt apply that i know.

Confirmed. Avoid web overlay with streaming video for the time being.
Ha. Did more digging around and hit this little nugget. So does this mean what Im trying to do isnt supported? Can a Bob please confirm?

My email isn't working on my ipad I just get a blank screen when I tap on mail

My e-mail isn't working on my iPad2 I just get a blank screen when I tap the mail icon. I had e-mail for the first 2 days I had my iPad then it disappeared I don't know what happened.

try to quit the mail application in the multitasking feature. if this does not work try to reset the device manualy by pressing the home and power button until it powers off and restarts with the apple logo.

Movies and videos not appearing on iPhone.

I have an odd problem with movies (both those made by me and those purchased via iTunes) not appearing on my iPhone 3GS after syncing, even though they used to.
All of the options in iTunes are set correctly for syncing.
The strange thing is this: I can see the videos being transferred in the sync status bar in iTunes, but when I go into the iPod part of my iPhone and select Videos they are not there.
Also, if I delete the movies from iTunes, and then sync, the movies are actually copied back from the iPhone to my mac, even though they were not showing up on the phone.
Anyone have any ideas? I have selected and deselected every option I can think of and synced over and over again, but it makes no difference.

Guys, I have finally solved my problem, and I hope this helps you too.
In the end my issue with the non-syncing of videos turned out to be due to the Restrictions settings. I had been experimenting with enabling the restrictions for various sorts of content so that my young daughters did not end up seeing, hearing or buying something that they ought not. This then stopped a number of videos from being seen on my iPhone, even though they were there.
So, if you have set any sort of restriction on your phone, check your settings : General > Restrictions > Allowed Content. It may be that this sorts out your some of your problems.
As a side issue, I am a a bit annoyed about this problem. Yes, I played around with the content restrictions, and then forgot about it, but maybe somehow, somewhere during or after a sync a message ought to pop up saying "You have enabled some content restrictions. Some of your audio or video content may not be available on this device"?
Anyway, hope this helps you all.

IPad syncing will not finish

My iPad will not finish syncing. It has been on step 7 of 7 for hours and still says "Waiting for items to copy". This has been a consistent problem for about a month... sometimes the final step is syncing music and sometimes photos or movies, regardless it seems like it alwasy stalls out on the final step of the syncing process. It's possible that It hasn't worked since moving to iOS 5 upgrade. It appears that everything is correctly moving from laptop to iPad... but I have to eject iPad to make it stop syncing and some of my apps are crashing too. Any ideas?

If you are syncing over WiFi - rather than ejecting the iPad - just try quitting iTunes if the sync will not finish. Restart your computer, and restart the iPad and see if that helps.
I had a similar problem and that is what worked for me.
The other thing that I have noticed - and maybe this is the wrong way to do this - but with WiFi syncing on my iPad - if I eject the device after the sync - iTunes does not want to recognize the device again when I relaunch iTunes. If I just quit iTunes after I sync, I have no problems with my iPad being recognized in iTunes when I launch it again.
