IPad sync with Outlook events issue

When I accept invitations on my Macbook and turn on my new iPad they are still showing up as pending invitations even though I accepted them on my Macbook.
Another funny thing if I accept them on the iPad they will reappear as new requests in a matter of hours.

Hi and welcome JASPERIMAGE ...
can I take all the contacts off my Ipad back into Outlook.
You may be able to do that followg the instructions here.
iPad: How to transfer or sync content to your computer
I don't think you need to have Outlook open in order to do that.

  • Nokia 6681 sync with outlook 2003 - issues

After synchronisation of phone with outlook 2003, where there are multiple phone number under single contact some numbers only gets imported into outlook contacts. For example. under one name, I have three office numbers, two home numbers, two mobile numbers. In outlook contacts only two office numbers, one home number and one mobile gets imported. Others are omitted. This means that I do not get 100% complete back up of contacts. In case my handset is destroyed or corrupted I will have only an incomplete contacts list. Further, number under "fax" does not get imported into outlook, but number under Fax (business) only getts imported. How to ensure that fields used in handset and outlook are identical so that during synchronisation 100% import is done

  • Syncing with Outlook caused issue

Hi All - So, I plug in the Bold, run the usual Desktop routine, and 106 calendar entries present on Outlook prior to sync get deleted. However, they all appear on the Bold -- but the originating calendar gets changed to a different email address! Result, handheld is right, outlook is wrong. Wha? I obviously said yes to something I shouldn't have -- do I restore to the previous backup and try again? Help!
    Ever-challenged,
    Sean

    Hi CommAMMO,
It seems as if your sync settings need to be adjusted.  You can adjust them by opening Blackberry Desktop Manager>Synchronize>Synchronization (on the left)>Synchronization(on the right)>Calendar>Setup>Outlook.  At this point you can selected your desired sync options.  Hopefully these steps help you.  Please advise if you require further assistance.

  • Issues syncing iPhone 5 and iPad mini with outlook calendars

I am having issues syncing my iPhone 5 and iPad mini with Outlook calendar.  This is a new problem since I upgraded to IOS 7.  I am now using ios 7.0.2.  I have removed air sync for calendars and that has not resolved the issue.  Nothing new on my calendar is syncing to my phone or ipad.  Any suggestions?

To use AirPlay, you need these:
iPhone 4 (or later), iPad, iPad mini, or iPod touch (4th generation or later)
For videos or photos: Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation)
For music: Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation), AirPort Express, or AirPlay-enabled speakers or receivers

As I finally have a solution for my problems with synching calendar from Outlook 2007 with N8, sharing solution here as provided by Nokia Support.
To make a long story short, NOS would simply state "Starting to synch calendar", but would never finish, no errors, nothing.
Follow the instructions carefully. Note, that on my XP system "MDataStore.db3" file was not available. So, it would seem, the XP image we had in use had some remnants of Nokia PC Suite and this interfered with Nokia Ovi Suite (NOS) and Outlook.
    <snip>
    Nokia Care Finland
Please uninstall and reinstall the tool
here is the steps uninstall .
    1]
    Uninstall NOS.
Use PC suite cleaner after un-installing NOS to have a clean un-installation http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/pc-suites/how-to/nokia-pc-suite-cleaner
REBOOT THE PC AFTER USING PC SUITE CLEANER.
    2]
Ensure that the following files/ folders are deleted after using PC suite cleaner; if not delete it manually!
    a)
Go to Start--> Run and type %temp% and delete the Nokia folders.
    XP
    C:\DOCUMENT\<username>\LOCALS\Temp\Nokia Remote Data Store Vista/ W7 C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp
Delete all the files in the "Remote Data store" of that particluar IMEI No.
    b)
Instruct the Cu to delete the "MDataStore.db3" file and try synchronizing to Ovi Suite again.
    XP
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Nokia\Nokia Data Store
    Vista\Win7
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Nokia\Nokia Data Store
If the user delete the above mentioned files/ folders all the user information in NOS will no-more be avaliable.
    3]
Install NOS freshly from the Web.
If still error occurs, then ask for Installation log files.

  • I use iCal, work wants me to sync with Outlook, how do I do this?

    Dear Community.
I'm happily using iCloud to run my diary across all my Apple devices, how do I get my current setup to sync with Outlook so my office can see my diary?
I don't want to change how I make appt's, I can make an appt on my phone, iPad or MacBook and it'll sync nicely, I just need to be able to share one specific Work diary in my iCloud/ Apple account with Outlook. I use Outlook on my MacBook for email only, I have no interest in using the calendar function other than to keep it synced to allow my colleagues to access it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's bad enough that people want to be able to track my daily schedules, without having to spend hours trying to figure out how to keep the system I have for diary management and not have to move everything just to placate someone.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Crackyrich,
I may have a possible solution for you.  Since you have everything set up in iCloud, have you tried the Calendar sharing feature?  You can create a work calendar to keep it separate from your personal calendar, and share the work calendar privately or publicly.   Here's how:
    iCloud: Calendar sharing overview
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2689
You can share a calendar both publicly and privately with other people. Sharing gives you flexibility in managing calendars. For example, you could create a calendar for your child’s sports team and share it privately with just the coaches so they can edit it. You could also share it publicly with all the parents so they can view (but not change) it whenever they want.
    Sharing works as follows:
Public calendars can be shared with anyone. To access public calendars, visitors need to use Calendar on a Mac, Microsoft Outlook on a Windows computer, or any other app that supports the iCalendar file format.
A public calendar can’t be edited by anyone but the calendar owner (the creator).
Private calendars can be shared with other iCloud users.
Participants can view the calendar using iCloud Calendar; the Calendar app on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or a Mac; or Microsoft Outlook on a Windows computer.
As the owner (creator) of a shared calendar, you assign edit privileges to the invitees to control who can modify the calendar. There are two types of access privileges that can be assigned:
Participants with View Only access can:
View the calendar and change their view (from day to week, for example), without affecting the view of other participants
    Change their own calendar preferences
Participants with View & Edit access privileges can do everything listed above, plus:
    Create and delete calendar events
Change details (for example, the name, date, and time) for calendar events
Track the responses of guests invited to a calendar event
Participants can’t invite new people to a shared calendar.
Note:    If multiple participants try to edit a shared calendar at the same time, the changes that are saved first are kept and reflected in the calendar. The person whose changes arenʼt saved sees a message that his or her changes werenʼt saved.
If you disable your iCloud account, any shared calendars you created become unavailable; all participants automatically receive an email notifying them that the calendar is no longer shared.

iCloud: Share a calendar with others
You can share a calendar both publicly and privately with other people. For specifics about viewing and editing privileges for shared calendars, and how participants can access the calendars, see Calendar sharing overview.
    Share a calendar privately
Click the Share button to the right of the calendar name in the sidebar, then select Private Calendar.
Note:    You can also share the same calendar publicly. For instructions, see the next task, “Share a calendar publicly.”
Type the invitee’s email address in the Add Person field and press Return.
Click the pop-up menu with the invitee’s name and choose access privileges (View & Edit or View Only).
For each person you want to share the calendar with, repeat steps 2 and 3.
When you’ve invited everyone and set their privileges, click OK.
Invitation emails are sent from your iCloud email address to the participants you specified.
    Share a calendar publicly
Click the Share button to the right of the calendar you want to share, then select Public Calendar.
Note:    You can also share the same calendar privately. For instructions, see the previous task, “Share a calendar privately.”
To invite people to view the calendar, click Email Link.
Type one or more email addresses in the To field, then click Send.
The people you specify automatically receive an invitation email that includes the calendar’s URL. An invitee doesn’t need to be an iCloud user to accept an invitation to view a shared public calendar.
In the sidebar, a shared calendar has a dark Share button.
You can also resend invitations to one or more invited participants at any time.

  • Syncing with outlook

This is an often asked question, but something for which I have yet to see a satisfactory answer.  I am running Windows XP Professional.  I also have Outlook 2003 on my desktop.  I do not use Microsoft Exchange Server.  I have an iPod Nano, an iPad 2, and an iPod Shuffle.  I am running iTunes 10 and have the latest OS for iPad 2 (4.3.1?).
I also have a Blackberry Storm.  I have been effortlessly syncing contacts, notes and calendar onto my Blackberry via Blackberry Desktop Manager and Outlook over USB for many years now.  There is nothing wrong with my Outlook, my contact, notes or calendar entries.  In fact, I have been reliably syncing and backing up this information over two desktop computers.
Can someone explain to me why iTunes and Outlook refuse to sync the above items onto my iPod Nano and iPad 2?  It is a consistent and persistent problem.  I have tried everything suggested on the World Wide Web to remedy this situation.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook and iTunes.  I have checked the Apple add-in in the Coms menu in Outlook.  I have de-selected all other add-ins.  I have replaced the the libleay, ssleay and sqlite3 files in Windows\system32 files.  I have installed the latest Open SSL files.
I have reset sync history ad infinitum.  I have checked the iTunes calendar, notes and contacts sync with Outlook options.
I have done it all, and nothing works.
I am convinced this is a known technical issue which Apple has refused to address or has been unable to address.  Instead of offering a proper patch or resolving the issue, they have instead blamed the users for the problems.  This is not right.  Apple products are not cheap and they are expected to work out of the box with little configuring.  This is what Apple has advertised for many years as a competitive advantage.  But if simple tasks like syncing data is such a problem, how savvy can Apple be?  Fact is, everyone else seems to be getting it right.  Why not Apple?
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?  Why is it that every other company can get their devices to sync with the most used email, contacts and calendar system in the world, but the so called technology experts and "simplicity" experts can't get their expensive and vaunted devices to work on this same system.
Someone....does anyone have a solution to this problem?????

I just bought an iPad2. I have XP and Office/Outlook 2003 like a lot of people. I've been a big fan over the years of Pocket Informant (WebIS software) and have been using it successfully with my windows mobile devices but am now switching to the iPad2 for obvious reasons. The developers at WebIS have been terrific over the years and responsive to user feedback. They dropped Microsoft like a bad habit when they changed their API and have had iPhone and iPad versions of Pocket Informant out for a few releases now http://www.pocketinformant.com/products_info.php?p_id=pocketinformant_ipad. Their Windows version they no longer support and offer it for free. Pocket Informant comes from excellent roots. Web IS has a number of ways to sync your Apple device with Windows Outlook including using intermediaries such as Google and ToodleDo. They also have developed their own app WebIS Desktop Sync. Check it out towards the bottom of this page http://www.pocketinformant.com/products_info.php?p_id=pocketinformant_iphone&tab _id=sync
I'm exploring this issue myself and this is the way I'm headed. Hope this helps.

  • Fixing iphone sync with outlook

There are multiple threads about problems snycing iTunes with Outlook (iPad, iPhone etc.).  This affects Outlook calendar and contacts, often creating multiple contact lists and false calendar entires, often pre-fixed "ModGrp" or ModCal".  After multiple tries I think I have figured out what you need to do: here's what worked for me, I hope it works for you.
First the cause.  If your PC/Mac has crashed with Outlook open you probably have bad data in Outlook. Most software is fault-tolerant to this but not iTunes (my seventh software to link to Outlook and the only one not fault tolerant, so I'm certain it's an iTunes problem).  I have written this for solving contact problems with explanation afterwards for calendars (you'll change item 6 and read the footnote).  Read the instructions first so you know what you're about to do.  You will have to rename a folder and delete your iPhones history but otherwise that's about it.
    1)    Download scanpst.exe from Microsoft, instructions are at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/272227.  Print this, you'll need it at step 5
    2)    Close both Outlook and iTunes
    3)    Got to C:\Users\[Your username]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\
In File Manager use Folder Options from the Tools menu and select Show hiden files and folders from the View Tab, if you can't see this folder
    4)    Rename the folder \SyncServices as \SyncServices.old or something.  Once you have finished you can delete this folder
    5)    Use scanpst.exe (step 1 above) to fix your Outlook file.  Instructions for this are at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/272227 noted above
    6)    When scanpst is complete and has closed, open Outlook and go to your contact list.  Select each ModGrp and hit Delete, then confirm deletion
    7)    Be sure not to delete any contact lists that you want to retain, then close Outlook
    8)    Open iTunes with your iPhone/Pad/iWhatever plugged in to USB and select iPhone/iPad/iWhatever
    9)    Select your iWhatever in the Devices list on the left and select Preferences from the Edit menu at the top
    10)  Click the Devices button in the dialog box and click Reset Snyc History, just in case.  Click OK to close the Dialog Box
    11)  At the top of your iPhone Device window click the Info button (second from the left right at the top)
    12)  Deselect Contacts, Calendars and Mail options so iTunes doesn't sync with Outlook in any way
You'll get a prompt to remove contacts/whatever lists from your iWhatever device.  Choose the Remove Contacts button
    13)  Hit Apply or Sync (bottom right of iTunes).  This should have cleared iTunes of bad ModGrp sync lists and iPhone contacts etc.
Next we'll restore these from Outlook
    14)  Reselect to sync with Outlook Contacts, Calendars and Mail - the options you deselected in step 12.  Hit Apply or Sync
The above should restore all the valid contact and other data from Outlook onto your iPhone etc
    15)  Once sync has completed reopen Outlook and check the bad MdGrp lists have gone.  Unplug iPhone and check you don't have multiple ModGrp lists
I haven't had calender problems but my understanding from posts to this forum is that in step 6 above, you may have to export the appointments calendars from your calendar and then delete the calendar.  It's much more involved than having a contacts list problem.
If you choose to tidy up aftwards, go back to steps 3 and 4 and delete the backup .old folder as iTunes created  a new one when you opened it at step 8.
I have run the above three times now and it works every time.  Since every tenth or so time I open iTunes it causes my PC to lock, usually with Outlook open, so I expect this to be a frequent event.  iTunes is well documented as a digustingly bad piece of software and seems to be the penalty we pay for having an iPhone, which actually works.  Maybe when Apple adopts Flash I'll buy an iPad and double the number of times I have to run it, but not otherwise.  iTunes and Flash are the two main reasons I have not bought a Mac or iPad.
    Have fun.

Hi, to remove dummy '_ModGrp' entries, rather than crashing the 'Suppr' key on your keyboard, you can use this basic VBA macro (launched for instance from Excel).
It will recursively remove all '_ModGrp...' folders
    Sub RemoveFolders_Click()
        Dim oOutlook As Outlook.Application
        Set oOutlook = New Outlook.Application
        Set objNameSpace = oOutlook.GetNamespace("MAPI")
        Call CleanFolders(objNameSpace.Folders)
    End Sub
    Sub CleanFolders(objFolders As Outlook.Folders)
        For i = objFolders.Count To 1 Step -1
            If Left(objFolders(i).Name, 7) = "_ModGrp" Then
                objFolders.Remove( i )
            Else
If Not objFolders(i).Folders Is Nothing Then
                    Call CleanFolders(objFolders(i).Folders)
                End If
            End If
        Next i
    End Sub

  • IPhone calendar has not synced with Outlook since December 2009; Please Fix

My iPhone calendar quit syncing with Outlook after an iTunes update in December 2009. When I sync to my computer, iTunes goes through the motions but no events show up in the iPhone calendar. I have talked to Apple tech support 3 times, purchased a new computer, and tried everything known to man to correct this. Calendar is the only thing that does not sync. The only thing left to do, I guess, is buy a new iphone. Who knows if this will correct the issue. Please, is there a fix out there? I'm tired of carrying a scratch piece of paper around with my appointments on it.

Well, I fixed it myself. In Outlook, I checked each appointment for a bad reminder time. My default time is 30 minutes. ONE entry showed 0 minutes. I changed it to 30, synced, and lo and behold, I have my calendar back! I can't believe that is all it took.

  • My iphone calendar stopped syncing with outlook 7 thru the cloud. I clicked on tools, trust center, add ins. icloud add in had been disabled. I tried to re enable it but was told that this could only be done by administrator. I am the admin. Help????

My iphone calendar stopped syncing with outlook 7 thru the cloud. I clicked on outlook tools, trust center, add ins. I noted that icloud add in had been disabled. I tried to re enable it but got a message that this change could only be done by administrator. I am the administrator. Help???? Any ideas?

I do not believe this. I have been going nuts trying everything as in prior posts, and this has been a problem for users at least since 2010. I had this problem a long time ago and didn't pay too much attention to it because it was my iPad, and I depended on my BB a a base calander to feed Outlook. I became very concerned within the past week when I switched my BB to iPhone 5s, and was carrying both because I still needed to carry the BB for new calander enteries to sync up to Outlook 2007.
I had followed http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925 and delete the apple s/w and re-installed. But according to the previous post, it appears that the issue was in the data - which was not deleted during all these deinstalls nor overridden with the new installs.
I am a XP user, so my files are in documents and settings/(username) both application data and \local settings\application data, but I also have safari and quicktime installed as well and didn't want to just blow entire high level folders if I didn't have to.
So I followed http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925 then purged several apple folders in my windows profile and this definitely blew apple computer\preferences away. What I did was a little clumbsy, and desperate, but it worked. I am finally back in business.
However, I would like to see someone fine tune this and determine if it was just the preferences folder that needed to be deleted so that iTunes needed to rebuild it, or if there were other filoes that were apparently corrupted away, just to get this to the minimum number of steps to fix the issue.
BUT THANKS - This has been the most HELPFUL thread to get me syncing agai!!!!
