IPad syncing failed - Windows 7 ..64-bit

I adquired a new iPad, this i my first Macintosh product I ever had, and since I bought it i cant sync any kind of music, video, photos, etc.. when i connected my iPad to my computer ( Alien ware, Windows 7, 64-bit) it made me kind of an account, with my name but several issues appeared in the screen:
**The iPad cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found.
**The iPad cannot be synced. A duplicate file name was specified.
**The iPad cannot be synced. The required disk cannot be found.
**The iPad cannot be synced. A folder was specified instead of a file.
This first time my iPad was detected by itunes, but none of the syncing services was available.
I installed all updates, and then my iPad was not appearing in iTunes.
I tried all this things:
**Re-installing iTunes
**Turning off: Computer - iPad
**Restoring iPad
**Sales Store Apple Mexico
**Another USB cable
**Installed iTunes 32-bit, with compatibility mode.
And none of thing things worked at all.
Apple is not responding me anything.
Please any kind of help, I would be grateful.
Specs:
Alienware M15X
iPad 3G+ Wi-fi
Windows 7 64-bit
iTunes version: 9.2.1.5

I hate to say this but I have never heard of anyone not having multiple problems like this- including myself when using a Windows 7 machine with any Apple product - I own 2 iPods of different flavors, an iPhone & an iPad (WiFi). Whenever I do any kind of syncing I have uneven results except fort he most basic things like getting Podcasts or transferring Music. Any software related upgades, new OS whatever is a real big pain. So what I did was to go out and buy the most inexpensive Mac and I use it for connectivity to my iStuff. You might be able to get a used Mac but they don't seem to be very available - gosh wonder why, maybe because they are so good no one gets rid of them. I only use Windows now for clients that make me use it. Good luck.

  • Ipad sync failed to start

iPad 2 sync fails to start every time even when cabled to my Macbook Pro.  iPad 1 syncs without a problem to the same iTunes.  Sync communication begins on iTunes and the spinning arrows appear on the iPad but it nevery moves onto step 2.  I have tried deleting the backups but still have the same problem.  This is after several months so simple restart or disconnect and reconnect fixes it.

  • Transfer  iPad Synced from Windows to iMac

I'd like to know if you can sync a iPad that was synced from a Windows based Laptop to a  iMac. I just bough an iPad to and want to put the content from the 1st Gen iPad to my 2nd Gen iPad. I wanted to know that if I restore from My 2nd Gen ipad, can I use the restore from my 1st  Gen iPad? and if SO....How would i accomplish this.

    1. Connect the USB drive to the Mac and open Disk Utility.
    2. Select your USB drive in the sidebar and press Erase tab.
    3. As Format, choose exFAT or MS-DOS (FAT) and select Erase.
    4. Connect it to the PC and transfer the files to the Mac

  • Does iPad sync with windows live in w7?

I just bought a win 7 pc which has win live mail. Does iPad/phone sync with it? What to do with notes?

You can access a Hotmail/Windows Live mail account as an Exchange account on an iOS device, which provides push access for received email and over the air syncing for calendar events and contacts. Not sure about Notes but should include the option.
Check Microsoft's Live Mail website for instructions.

  • IPad sync fails on new Mac Mini

Im trying to get my iPad 1 to sync with a new Mac Mini, but whenever I choose "transfer purchases" it gets stuck at "waiting for sync to start." I've restarted all sorts of things and tried to sync both over wifi and USB.  It simply won't start, and I've tried for a couple days.  I even tried erase and sync, but it still wouldn't start the process.  Any ideas?

    No ideas on this one?

  • Mac to iPad sync fails, "waiting for changes to be applied"

Wifi itunes sync of one-week-old iPad to Mac running recent Lion, iTunes hung with message on "Step 6" saying "waiting for changes to be applied."
I've seen lots of users report this, but this was with a pure Apple-to-Apple configuration, with an iPad 2 literally only a week old.

  • Can see apps on lhs but will not re-install in ipad sync fails

Cannot re-install apps from LHS of itunes, though can see them onto ipad after new itunes library installed

I tried uploading everything with the original index.html and original folder (instead of just the contents of the accompanying folder), and it worked +as a workaround.+ It only works because I put everything in a different folder, one that doesn't overlap with those ghost files.
Nonetheless, that mysterious navbar7rollover.png still exists, even though it's original folder has been deleted. It's still somehow accessible via the web! I'd still like to know the answer to how to get rid of it, because this may easily happen again.

  • HT4972 sync failed to start iOS 5.1.1

I can't seem to sync my iPad. I get an error message saying that the iPad sync failed to start. No error number.

With your ipad connected by cable to a usb port on your PC and iTunes open, attempt the sync, while it buffers, close iTunes - wait about 30 seconds then open it again.
Also check to see if you have any available downloads pending, Apps, purchases etc. from either iTunes or the Apps store.  Make sure they complete first.  If you are on Autosync turn it off - see in iTunes menu under Edit\Preferences\Devices - Prevent ipods, iphones and ipads from syncing automatically - tick the box.  Close and re-open iTunes.
If still having problems we need to check that you have Apple's Application Management support installed, running and updated to the latest version, as well as the ipod device Service running in automatic startp mode.  Both will cause sync failures if not correctly installed and configured.
    Best regards, Ct

  • IPad 2 cannot sync with Windows 7 machine but can sync with Mac Book Pro

I connected the iPad to my Windows 7 machine straight out of the box and tried to register it for the first time. It showed up in the device list for the first 3 minutes and then disappeared altogether. Thinking this is just some small error, I started troubleshooting using this guide http://www.apple.com/support/ipad/assistant/itunes/
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2292
after doing that 4-5 times, I still had not found a solution to the problem. I made sure that my computer had the Apple Mobile Device Drivers installed in it. After all my iPod can easily connect to iTunes, but not the iPad. There isn't a problem with the usb cable because I used the same cable on the iPod and it worked like a charm. The iPad gets recognized in the Device Manager as an Apple Product, but does not show up in iTunes at all. This problem has frustrated me quite alot. I also tried to use my friend's Windows 7 machine, but to no avail. It did not connect to his computer either. Finally as a last resort, I tried to connect it to a another friend's Mac Book Pro [iOS Snow Leopard], and like clockwork, it connected and showed up in his iTunes. This is what surprised and outraged me the most. After spending 5-6 hrs troubleshooting the connections on my Windows 7 machine, uninstalling and reinstalling applications, drivers and finally the OS itself, this iPad connects seemlessly to a Mac Book within 1 minute. I could synchronize data, songs and the like on the Mac Book, but I can't even get this iPad to show itself on a Windows 7 machine. I am truly at my wit's end with this problem. Could anyone please help me with it? I would surely be grateful.

Here is my statdard reply, most of which you have already done. You may wish to try the others!
Firstly, make sure that your device is not hidden (left hand pane). If it just reads device then toggle between SHOW and HIDE.
Secondly, try all the other ports on your computer, even a number of times.
Thirdly, if you have another computer try plugging your device into it without taking any action, give it a moment, remove it and try it back in your other computer again.
Failing all that, see here - http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538 for Windows and http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1591 for Macs
And failing all that put the device into Recovery mode. See here and note the paragraph 'If you restore from a different computer.... ' down near the bottom of the page -

When you connect your iPad in iTunes, click on your iPad below "DEVICES", then click the tab "Info" and define on that page what you want to do.
