IPad syncs video but can't find video file on iPad, previous OS upgrade and ITunes upgrade no problem

I could play the video file before but sine OS and recent ITunes upgrade I cannot. iTunes indicates the video file in on the iPad but you can't find it in voids icon, apple support has not yielded an answer so far

I found out: you cannot sync. clips directly into the iMovie APP via iTunes. Well, you can but it wont be available for edditing.
You must sync them into Camera Roll.

iDevices are not and have never been backup devices.
Authorizing a computer does not cause media to magically appear.
Media is only where the user puts it.
Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer.

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Can you run Firefox long enough to display the Add-ons page? Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable. (Remove also is available for some extensions, but not the ones that Firefox found in a registry scan or shared folder elsewhere on your system.)
Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

If you cannot access the Add-ons page, try starting Firefox in Safe Mode, since that deactivates extensions and hopefully will stop that message from coming up long enough to get to the Add-ons page.

I upgraded my computer, new OS on a new hard drive. Want to get my bookmarks off Firefox off my old drive, but can't find the file.

I upgraded my computer, by adding a second hard drive for a new OS, and kept the old drive as the data drive. I assumed that I could install Firefox on the new drive and import my bookmarks from the old Mozilla install on the old drive. I can't find the files on the old drive with my bookmarks. Should they still be there, or when I reinstalled Firefox, did I lose everything even though it was on another drive? I can't find any backup files on the old drive, and would like to restore my old bookmarks. Is there any way to do this?

You need find your profile folder in the old drive, the way must be:

Customized job listed in drop down, but can't find .joboptions file

I recently started a new contract where they are using Acrobat 8 Standard on a Windows XP machine. When I generate a PDF, there's a customized PDF job option called Company_Standard. I've been asked to find that file so that we could back it up somewhere.
I've searched for Company_Standard.joboptions, *.joboptions, Company_Standard*.*, and just about every other combination. I've changed the Windows folder options so that I can see hidden files and system files. I *cannot* find Company_Standard.joboptions.
Aha! I just answered my own question, but I can't believe how hard it was to find it!
It was in C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe PDF\Settings, but it did not show up in any search I did! I finally found it by creating a PDF and reading the success message!
So, instead of canceling this post, I thought I'd post it anyway in case anyone else had the same problem. This should have been a lot easier to find, but maybe this is a Windows thing because it's under the Administrator user.

This location is for the local user that is logged in as the administrator. Others may need to replace the 'administor' with their login ID.
For a system unit, the .joboptions files will be located in c:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat\settings\

Mac Air storage indicates music storage is big but can not find music files

I am going in to check the storage on my hard drive. In the music section it says there is 74.14 GB of storage being used but I am unable to locate the files. I have checked everything that can be checked on this mac and no music. Can you please help. I fequently use Final Cut Pro and I know they render files but there are no music files rendered in there. Especially not to amount to that amount of storage. Please Help.

Download from the Internet OmniDiskSweeper and open it. It will show all of you files and the respective sizes.

ITunes update corrupted some of my music files so iTunes can't find the file, nor music I bought from the iTunes store.

After an iTunes generated update of iTunes, some of my music can't be accesed any more. When I try to play the file, iTunes says it can't find the link. This also happens with music I purchase from the iTunes store, so I've lost all this music; do I have to re-buy the purchased music again? My iTunes program is on my C drive, and the music library is on my D drive. In iTunes, I've set the ripped music to be placed in my D drive. The lost links are on some music files, but not others which do play music. Some compilation music files were split up into individual files, usually without LP art attached. Some album art was placed on wrong albums as well. Music with lost links have a ! mark beside the song name. File info says the link is on my C drive, but I can't find it there. Any ideas on how to get these lost files back. Thanks, Moizy.

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

Downloaded the A-Team to my ipod video but can't find it

hello, I had just recently purchased the ipod video and over the weekend decided to test it out and I downloaded from apple's website the A-team now i can view it on my itunes under tv show but when i look for it on my ipod video there is no drop down menu for TV show i see videos,music,photos but no menu for TV show what can i do?

I would contact ITMS and "REQUEST" they correct the matter. Whoever created the file did not properly include all of the required meta-data information which would create a valid path for file display on the iPod. Further, there seems to be a growing occurance (i.e., the lack of quality control) during the production of these files. While I might expect a small number of such files to crop up on occasion, I expect a commercial marketer to respond in a professional manner or suffer the legal ramifications of their failure to correct known product defects.
Be that as it may, you can of course, temporarily work around the problem by creating a "Playlist" to contain your TV episodes by series title. Just remember to order them properly within the playlist to maintain proper play order.

I no longer have an "organize bookmarks" option. I want to arrange them my way, but can't find the file to edit to make it look like I want it to look.

I used to be able to edit a bookmark.html file and the bookmarks would stay where I put them. Now they seem to have a life of their own and move in places I don't want them.

"Organize Bookmarks" has been renamed to "Show All Bookmarks" in the bookmarks menu.
For info Firefox has not stored bookmarks in bookmarks.html since Firefox 2, it now stores them in places.sqlite

After you restore from backup, you MUST sync to restore your iTunes content. No iTunes content is included in the iPhone backup. Your apps should be in your iTunes library, just sync them back to your phone. If for some reason your apps are not in your library, you can re-download them for free:
