  • Screen off while charging?

I seem to recall a settig where you have your Incredible screen off while charging....but I cannot find it again.  Is there such a setting,or am I confusing it with something else?  If there is this setting, how can I access it?

  • Tactic3D Rage Wireless Constantly Turns Off while Charging

I got the Tactic3D Rage Wireless a couple of years ago and it has had many problems from the time I received it. I eventually got the others fixed, or mostly fixed, but this one has been annoying me increasingly in the past few months.
The headset not only rapidly connects and disconnects with Windows 8 (I think it is a problem with windows and not the headset for this one), but it also turns off the second I turn it on while charging. This makes the headset completely useless when I am charging it. This would not be as bad, but now the headset will not actually charge when it is on its charger. After it "charges" for a few hours, I take it off of the charger and I immediately begin to hear the beeping, notifying me that the headset is low on battery.
I finally made an account on these forums after a couple of days failing at searching for this problem with others so now I am posting this. Help is greatly needed for I don't want to be forced to spend more money on another headset if I can get this one fixed. Please reply with any questions I have not answered, and have a good day.

    Hi Logo594
You may want to refer to this article, specifically the last paragraph of the article regarding charging.
    http://support.creative.com/kb/ShowA...spx?sid=111092
You also mentioned that this headset is at least a couple of years old, so it is possible that the battery
does not hold its charge well. If this still does not work, You may contact Support here.

  • Notebook shuts off while charging

hello, this is my first time posting. i have a HP special edition L2000/L2005CU. im having problems with charging my notebook while its on, it will shut off after about 10 mins of charging but the battery can be fully charged after it is shut off. i also tried to use only the AC power without the battery installed and still the same result. i have noticed my fan does not turn on, would charging it cause the thermal protection to shut off only while charging? Any advice would be appreciated. thanks in advance.
    Eddie

It won't hurt the battery in general but I like to keep it on the ac adapter when ever I can since using it off battery will use up battery cycles.

  • IPad goes crazy when using it while charging

Hi, these couple of days my new iPad started to act weird whenever I'm using it while the charging port is intact with my new iPad. Which means that it is not responding to my touches when the charge port is intact and reacts normally when I pull out the charge port. This is the first time it is happening after using it for a couple of months. The weird reactions are such that i can't type or touch at the correct location as it goes else where. It changes my pages, goes blank enlarge my page and becomes jumpy. It's getting annoying as it is not functioning the way it Shd be whenever the charge port is intact. It goes back to normal when I unplug it. I have actually taken a video on this issue and i can send the video to you via youtube if you require. Please advise. Thanks

If the reset does not help, then transfer all purchases to iTunes on your computer, next backup the iPad to your computer and then restore the iPad with the backup.

  • Touch is off while charging. Almost locked my phone many times :((

So every night when I get a call or want to check some thing on the phone and its charging to unlock my phone the touch is off from what I am pressing. I once had the same problem when I rooted an EVO and put a custom ROM which the ROM had that problem. But its very identical to it. I have not touched anything on my RAZER MAXX no additional software or anything. anyone else having this issue?

yea I can see now I was not so specific sorry about that.
When I try to use it while its charging, after 15 minutes the LOCK is enabled so I try to unlock it and the touch is not accurate cause my unlock is very simple its a L always used the same one. so by the time I reach 3rd dot the 1st and 2nd dot turn off and it gives me the wrong code look. It only does it that I have seen when charging and on the LOCK. Havent really had a problem while using it after I unlocked it. first I thought it was my fingers might be water on them but has been happening since I got the phone.
I have read many reports of a phone screen acting wonky if the charger is not a Motorola charger.  Say, they're using a charger from their LG or another phone.   If that's the case with you, I'd try it using your Motorola charger.  Be sure you are plugged into either a wall outlet (best) or the high power port of a pc.  It sounds like either insufficient power or a "dirty" supply.
Also, it would be interesting to see if this happens when the phone is booted in Safe mode.  If not, it's probably an application you are using.

  • Magsafe coming off while charging

Hey everyone, I just got a new Macbook Aluminum but I feel the magsafe adapter has been a slight annoyance for me. Basically, I'm just wondering if it's bad for the health of the battery if the charger gets unplugged while its charging the battery and then plugged back in again. I like to use my laptop on my bed and slight movements sometimes knocks the plug off... Normally, I've always charged to 100% before removing the plug but I'm not sure if it's really necessary or even preserves the life of the battery at all. Thanks for the help.

It won't hurt the battery in general but I like to keep it on the ac adapter when ever I can since using it off battery will use up battery cycles.

  • My iPhone turns completely off while charging. Help.

Why does my iPhone completely turn off after a while of having the charger in? The only way to turn it on is by holding down the hold & home button which I believe is the reset button. After that I put the charger back in and stays on. It happened of the second time this morning.

If not jailbroken, restore the phone in iTunes.
FYI, there is no "hold" button.  The button on the top of the phone is the power button (AKA On - off).  To reset the phone, press both the home and power buttons fo at least 10 seconds, releasing when the Apple logo appears.

  • My ipod 5 shut off while charging and wont turn back on , how do i turn it on without deleting everything.?

    Helppppp

Try the following. However, it may end up erasing the iPod since a software problem may have caused the problem.:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • IPod Touch backlight off while charging/docked

For about the last year the backlight on iPod touch has turned off whenever plugged in to charge, computer, dock etc. This makes it extremely hard to see what is on the screen and therefore difficult to use. I remember this not always being the case but it started happening about a year ago, probably coinciding with a firmware upgrade around 3.0?
Is this a known problem and are there any fixes out there short of trying a format/restore? Any help would be greatly appreciated

sorry for bumping this again but really looking for an answer to this.
I recently upgraded to 4.2.1 and even with the full firmware upgrade it still happens. It seems to happen as soon as the dock connector is even half plugged in, even before the ipod recognizes what it's been plugged in to and starts charging etc.
This problem makes use in my car extremely difficult as I pretty much have to disconnect then reconnect in order to change anything on the ipod.

  • After iphone 4s froze up and I rebooted.  Wonder if I should shut it off while charging?

My iphone 4S froze and got "hot".  All I had was an asterisk on the screen so I rebooted it as suggested.  Now I wonder if I should be turning it off more often?

There's no reason to regularly turn off any iOS device.
If it is overheating that simply means that the device is being excessively used (i.e. playing a game for hours, or leaving the GPS on a lot) or possibly the case it is in is preventing sufficient airflow to allow the device to cool itself.

  • Does the Trophy ever shut down while charging??

Got a Trophy back in May, loved it, then it started having a few issues. The very first time I went to charge it, I noticed that it wouldn't shut off. If I held down the power button while it was plugged in, it would turn off, but as soon as I let go, it would turn right back on. Same thing if it was turned off before I plugged it in. Usually, the only time I turn off a phone is while it's charging, so this was a bit inconvenient. I let it go, since it wasn't a major problem. My phone had been damaged slightly right after I received it, so I thought maybe it was related.
Yesterday, I went into one of the local Verizon stores (we have three) to inquire about getting a diagnostic on my phone due to some other issues, and they just decided to send me a replacement. Today, I received it, and I plugged in my new one to charge it, and lo and behold, it does the same thing - no shut-off while charging. Is this a programming quirk of Windows Phone 7? Is this an issue with the Trophy that other Windows Phones don't have? Does my charger have a problem? Anybody in the know?

Yup, par for the course. Why do you need it to off while charging? Perhaps get a separate battery charger and do it that way?

  • Electrification on MacBook while charging

Hi everyone, I am charging my macbook air with original 2-pin 45W magesafe. When I touch the computer I feel an electrification while charging. I tried to charge different power sockets but I felt same little shock of electricity each time and no difference when computer is turned off while charging.
Mostly the electification takes place around just above of function keys and back of screen.

there could be an extremely slim chance of a fault on the IO board, however if so, that would be the 1st case Ive heard of same.
electrostatic (dielectric) spillover to the the alloy macbook Air chassis is very rare.
Verify same on another power outlet.
verify on another charger at your local Apple store.
Verify same at a different building if you can.
Contact Apple for appt. for in shop free diagnostic,
however from your indications, the only largely plausible points of causation are power issue on the outlet/ building or on the charger block of the charger.
