Ipad-to-itunes transfer hosed during OS update

I purchased a tv season directly to the ipad. the next time I synched to itunes I got a notification of an OS update - which I naturally selected "yes" to. Sometime later i noticed my pc was locked up and i had to reboot. The ipad restore worked great! and all my previously loaded stuff got repopulated but i lost my TV season - all 15 episodes. Guessin it was an old backup.
is there a way to reclaim this data?

After 10 attempts to restore and 5 restarts, I finally got the iPad to be found and respond. I am now trying to get everything arranged back the way it was. iOS 4.3 got installed and the capacity, size and serial number are back.
Which apps were loaded, and their arrangement is NOT restored and this can be very tedious. Everything was unchecked in iTunes.
Not happy, but i am the road back to where things were.

You are in Recovery Mode. Follow the instructions below to recover your iPad.
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button.
5. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad. Data will be lost.

IPad and iTunes cannot check for iOS updates. And iTunes cannot restore the iPad to 6.1.2.

I have iPad 4G 32GB A1460. NO JAILBREAK EVER. Recently I installed iOS 7 Beta 3 on it. And now when I go to Settings -> General -> Software Update I get the error message "Unable to Check for Update. An error occurred while checking for a software update." And that's all. No useful information actually.
I have tried to reboot the device but no luck. I have also tried to connect it to a PC and check for updates from iTunes. iTunes shows me a little different error message: "iTunes could not check for an update to the carrier settings for your iPad. An unknown error occurred (1651). Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later." I checked the connection just in case and was convinced that the Internet connection is active. Does anyone know what's happening? I really don't like this.
OK, maybe the next iOS version isn't out yet. But what will happen if it is? Will I be forced to use 7.0 Beta 3 forever? I don't want to))
Another thing that I've tried to do is to restore my iPad to iOS 6.1.2. But the iTunes shows another error: "The iPad "<iPad name>" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (3194)." I tried this on Windows and Mac. On Mac I have a different message: "This device isn't eligible for the requested build" which seems to be the same thing as 3194-error on Windows.
Can anyone help me? Is there a reasonable explanation of this? Is this related to Apple's developers web site unavailability (http://devimages.apple.com/maintenance/)?

Ipad went into recovery mode during ios8 update , how do i sort it?

My hubby ( god rest his soul!!) has just updated my ipad to ios8 but it immediately sent it into recovery mode , how do i resolve this?

Connect the iPad to your computer by its cable, and your computer's iTunes should recognise that an iPad in recovery mode has been connected to it and let you reset it back to factory defaults - you can then restore to your last backup, or just resync your content to it.

Downloaded new iTunes/iPod updater, iTunes now crashes during iPod updating

I downloaded the new iTunes and iPod updater yesterday-- now when I plug my iPod into the USB, it recognizes my iPod, the "Updating iPod. Do not disconnect." message comes up, but as soon as "Updating Track 1 of 9." appears, I get a Send Error Report message "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. etc" (I wasn't sure what, if anything, I shoudl include here from the Error Report Contents.) Has anyone else encountered this or have any tips? I've tried the uninstall/reinstall trick to no avail.

I fixed this for my Nano by using the iPod Updater Restore to revert the firmware to version 1.0 and removing iTunes 6.0.2 through Control Panel. I didn't delete the leftover directories. I then reinstalled iTunes version 6.0.1.3.
The Nano is now happily recopying all my music. Should be done by midnight.

Itunes stops responding during address update

I have Windows 7 Enterprise. My iTunes app was updated this morning. So here is what I do... Launch iTunes > Store > View Account > Edit Billing address > iTunes stops working.... OVER and OVER again...
I have turned off my AVG software, I have added the recommened sites to the Trusted domain list. I have uninstalled and installed and repaired iTunes. Still the exact same issue.
Any help would be nice.

I followed the instrucstions to delete the .ssidd and .ssibd files this did not correct the problem.

Without knowing exactly what your issue is (more details would be helpful) - try this - quit iTunes, restart your computer and the iPad and then try again.
If that doesn't work - it is just a first step type of thing - report back and explain exactly what you are experiencing when you attempt to sync.

iPad first generation doesn't update beyond 4.2.1, you need at least iPad 2 for this.
If you're using iPad 2 or later, you should connect your iPad to iTunes on a computer and update from there.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

Transfer from iPad to itunes before update

So I won this iPad from a radio station, and they put a butt load of music on it, is there anyway I can Transfer from my iPad to iTunes. The songs are not authorized to my account, is there anyway I can keep the music and still update my iPad?? I know there are threads for this, I just don't feel like looking.

Several things... Is this a windows PC? Could there be a permissions problem?
Unless you've checked a box in iTunes to perform a backup before any syncs, you need to set iTunes to manual sync for your device, then choose the option to copy apps that are on the iPad that haven't been synced to the computer (IIRC it's somewhere in the menus).

Yes phone will automatically backup to icloud when on wifi and phone is charge, but your phone storage was full so it stop backing up.
