IPad to TV via wifi or bluetooth

What are the options for streaming stuff from my iPad-mini to my television's HDMI input? I am aware do - but know nothing about - Apple TV. Is that the only way or are there third part options?
Thanks

You can connect via a cable or wireless using an Apple TV.

  • Synchronize iPad to Imac via WIFI

Hi guys, I know that is possible synchronize iPad/iPhone with Mac via WIFI but I´m not able to do. It say that iPad must be connect to electicity and on the same WIFI of the Mac. After checking this, the button Synchronize on mi iPad is always greyed out and so I can´t click on it.
    Any idea?
    Thanks a lot

First of all - the instructions that you are referring to are for Automatic Syncing with iTunes via WiFi. I sync my iPad every day via WiFi with the iPad sitting on the coffee table and NOT plugged into power. I also do not auto sync - I initiate the sync on my own.
You need to set it up for WiFi syncing within iTunes first.
Connect the iPad to your Mac and launch iTunes. Let it sync if you auto sync. Then click on the iPad name on the left side under devices. Click on the Summary Tab in iTunes on the right. Click on the option to Sync this iPad over Wifi. Click on the Apply button in the lower right corner of iTunes and then eject the iPad.
Now try to sync via WiFi. See if the Sync option is active now in the iPad settings. Make sure that iTunes is running on the Mac as well.
If you are still stuck - read this for more information.

  • Can i use my american ipad to skype via wifi in europe

  • IPad 2 updated via wifi 36 hours ago has sent it in recovery mode

Stuck in a restore loop since updating via wifi my iPad 2 to the latest 6.1 software, on reboot it's gone into recovery mode & everytime I click restore iPad the download says it's failed due to corrupt download file, tried 12 times now

try to hard reset it out. hold down the power button and the home button at the same time until u see an apple appear on the screen. if that does not take it out of recovery mode there is absolutely nothing u can do to get ur stuff off of that ipad. it is officially kaput and u HAVE to restore it using itunes unless u just want a very expensive paperwieght.

  • Transfer book files from pc to ipad without itunes via wifi

  • My iPhone 4 wont tether via WiFi or Bluetooth, after installing Lion

I have not had any problems tethering until after the Lion upgrade. I have tried WiFi and Bluetooth and it looks like Lion is dropping the connection attempts from the phone.
Bluetooth: I deleted the pairing on both iPhone and Macbook and redid the pairing. The PAN connects for a subsecond (green light) and then drops.
WiFi: I removed the phone wifi from known networks and rejoined but no luck. The iPhone thinks it has a valid connection but the Mac wireless connection symbol is a pair of overlapping circles. It appears that some protocols are getting through but many are not.
Nothing changed recently in firewall settings...
    Puzzled,
    Keith

Sorry, but downgrading the software is not supported by Apple.
Try to set up the phone as new device, as explained in this article:

  • Synch iPad via wifi or Bluetooth

What is the advantages / disadvantages of synching iPad using an iPhone 4 personal hotspot via Bluetooth or wifi?

As iOS 5 has not yet been released, the only people who have access to it are developers who are bound by a non-disclosure agreement. Therefore, no one who has any direct experience with syncing over WiFi can answer. All will be revealed on the 12th.
    Best of luck.

  • Ipad app updates via wifi not working

I went from talktalk broadband to Bt on Tuesday (27 Nov), which may be a coincidence, but ever since my ipad 3 and iphone 4s will not sync app updates over wifi, they just freeze. I am getting so frustrated, one day these all worked seamlessly and now not.

    Try this
Make Sure iOS is updated to the latest version
Reboot the device by pressing and holding down the home and sleep/wake buttons (power) at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset allsettings

  • IPad not appearing via wifi in iTunes since re-install Lion

Ever since I re-installed Lion on my macbook, my Ipad doesn't wirelessly appear in iTunes (it did before) any more. It only works when I link it with the cable. My iPad doesn't recognize it anymore because of my macbook's new 'user name', I presume. How can I reset the connection?

    Hi,
Thanks. I already knew that document and checked all the steps (except the router, but that can't be the problem since it worked before with the same router settings). I checked them again, but nothing changed.
The sync-box is checked in iTunes, both my iPad and MacBook are on the same network (I only have one network), on both my MacBook and my router I switched off the firewall completely, my iPad is recharging on the lightnet, I restarted both iTunes and my iPad numerous times... Tried it all.

  • I would like to use time machine via wifi or bluetooth

The idea of plugging a notebook into a hard drive defeats the purpose of the portability, how would i be able to use a wireless method of backing up. additionally we have 3 mac notebooks in the house would i be able to partition a tetra drive in three sections and automatically do the wireless backups

The official word is that the backup drive must be physically connected to one computer on the network. I believe there are kludges that work with a network-attached drive, but I have not tried it and they are certainly not supported.
It is not necessary to partition the drive, however; TM can back up multiple computers in the same partition. What I find interesting is that it makes "virtual partitions" so each computer thinks it has its own drive. The only way to observe this is with a non-Mac on the network that can see the actual drive usage.

  • Trouble syncing documents by wifi or bluetooth

    Hi
I am trying to transfer some docs from my macbook pro to ipad either via wifi or bluetooth. Neither are connecting.
I have blue tooth on on both devices, and my laptop sees my ipad as a device in its bluetooth settings but when trying to connect to it says bluetooth connection not available. Laptop connects fine to other bluetooth devices I have. On the ipad, ipad cant discover the laptop when it turn on bluetooth button on ipad.
On laptop i have Snow Leo 10.6.8
Via wifi, no idea how to do this
    Help!
    Thanks!

iOS does not have a way to file share over Bluetooth, you must use an application. I have used AirSharing, which is great over WiFi. I am sure there are many others. I think a lot of the "pro" versions of these apps allow for Bluetooth sharing, although it is much slow going.

  • HT1203 Why is it that music cannot be shared between two people with apple devices over wifi or Bluetooth ?

With other mobile devices it has always been easy to transfer music from one friend to the the other via Bluetooth so why is so hard to transfer music from one apple iPhone to another via wifi or Bluetooth ?

It would seem that Apple have chosen not to implement general file sharing over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth as a security measure. That said. you have no rights to transfer your music (licensed to you) to your friend. They should purchase (licence) their own copy.

  • Can my ipad use wifi and bluetooth at the same time?

    Hi
I can stream radio via wifi radio apps and play through earphones. I can connect to my bluetooth speaker and play music stored on my ipad ok.
When I connect up to my bluetooth speaker and try to stream the radio app it plays for a couple of seconds then stops for 20 seconds then plays for 2 seconds and carries on start, stop, start (I guess it's buffering or something?).
Is it not possible to listen to a radio app and stream it to a bluetooth speaker at the same time?
    Any suggestions welcome

Thanks for confirming it should work man.
A quick check of the talktalk forum and it's my talktalk D-link 2780 router. It's a known problem.
It all works ok on next doors router so Off to PC World for a decent router.
    Thanks again.

  • I would like to connect my Ipad 2 wirelessly via 3G with a wireless rooter. The Ipad does not have a slot for a card, so it will have to connect to the rooter via bluetooth. Is this possible?

I would like to connect my Ipad 2 wirelessly via 3G with a wireless rooter. The Ipad does not have a slot for a card, so it will have to connect to the rooter via bluetooth. Is this possible? If so, where can I buy such a rooter? Many thanks! Ina

I'm not really understanding what you want. You mention all 3 types of connections: wireless, 3G and bluetooth, but I'm not clear on what you want to do. What the router is supposed to do, and why do you think it would need to connect via bluetooth?
I'm thinking you want to buy a Mifi type device that will allow you to connect to a cellular network and then connect the iPad to that device via the Wifi network the Mifi produces.
    Is that so?
