IPad update to 8.1 generates random events

Hi ,
I just updated my ipad mini ( wifi +cell ) with ios 8.1 .
After this noticed that the ipad is generating some random events and opening various apps / browser and simply becomes uncontrollable and unusable.
Dont know what is causing this .
Is this a known issue or is anyone else facing this ?
I am having trouble just using the ipad now and somehow would have felt great if i can revert it to older 7.1

I understand that while updating your iPad to the most recent version of iOS, the update failed and you received error 14. This error typically has to do with USB connection as described in the attached article.

Because your iPad is stuck trying to start up, I would recommend placing it in recovery mode manually and performing the update as described by the steps in the following article. If you continue to have issues, please let me know.

When starting up, you might see the Apple logo or a red or blue screen for a long time, or your device might restart again. Try these steps:
Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
Put your device in recovery mode.
When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

Start with this and see how it goes. Quit all apps completely and reboot the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Updating a field that generates random number when form is reset..

I have a field that will generate a random number when the form is initially opened. THis fiekd runs an initialization script of : var randomnumber=Math.floor(math.random()*99999) and then a calculation script of randomnumber.
The field value is set as Calculated - Read Only.
When I hit the Reset button and it clears all the input fields for the form i would like to have it re calculate a new random number. I am not knowledgable in any scripting language and what I have so far I found by searching the forums.
Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know if it should matter, but the field to update is on a page other than the one with the reset button. And, the above is not working.
I tried it as you stated above fieldname.rawvalue=randomnumber and I tried pagename.fieldname.rawvalue=randomnumber

Random event generator

I'm in the middle of making a simple game with java and am just wanting to ask what class/method would be best for some kind of random event generator. What i'm looking for is for a pool of ten or so events to occur at random over a given time frame that won't overlap with each other (so only one event happens at a time). The time between events should also be random (3 secs, event, 5 secs, event, 1 sec, event, etc.).
Any suggestions?

Make the events all implement java.lang.Runnable.
Put them in an array or java.util.List<Runnable>.
Have a loop, probably in its own thread. Before the loop starts, instantiate a java.util.Random. One each run through the loop:
1) use Random.nextInt to get an index into the array or List.
2) get the Runnable object.
3) invoke run() on it.
4) use the Random to get a random number of milliseconds in whatever range you want
5) Thread.sleep for that number of milliseconds.

Go to Apple > Software Update and install all available updates until no more are offered.
On iPad go to Settings > General > Software Update and install any updates.

Ipad 4.3.3 does not show events in Photo

I updated my IPAD to Software Version 4.3.3 and now when I go into PHOTOS, it only has tabs for PHOTOs, Albums, Faces and Places. I currently have IPHOTO 11. Before the update, I had a tab for EVENTS. Having the EVENTS tab is very useful. How do I get the EVENTS tab back?

I had the same problem. I just iupdated to iPhoto 9.1.3 and then synced my iPad 2. it fixed the problem for me.

Follow the below steps to create new entity adapter in OIM
To add the new created event handler to OIM server, perform the following steps:
1. Write a java code to perform the needed operation ("Generate random user alias" in your case).
2. Copy the file to OIM_HOME\xellerate\EventHandlers
3. Open Design Console and navigate to: Development Tools -> Business Rule Definition -> Event Handler Manager
4. Create a new Event Handler and specify:
Event Handler Name: +<give the class name of your code>+
Package: +<give the package name of your code>+
Pre-Insert: Checked (for this scenario)
5. Save the event handler
6. Navigate to Development Tools -> Business Rule Definition -> Data Object Manager
7. Search for "Users" and add the event handler to the Pre-Insert list.
8. Save.

Function modules to generate the event required

I have created a workflow but its start event is not getting triggered though condition data is correct.
I want to debug and see when the Business object's event is called.
Can you please tell me name of the Function modules to generate the event. This way i'll put a breakpoint on those and check the flow ?

Also I want you advice on the real issue i'm facing.
I have created a workflow giving some condition with start event as CHANGED of BUS1006. Now the work of populating the field in condition is done automatically by a BADI i've created.
The issue is that the workflow is not triggerd during automatic population of teh field but is triggered when i explicitly populate the field.
The reason might be that CHANGED event of the business object used is triggered before the SAVE BADI has populated teh field. So CHANGED event 's condition is not satisfied before the BADI has finished updating.
Is there a way tackle this. Can I somehow push back the trigger of workflow...I'm new to workflows so please don't mind if this sounds foolish

Hi this is my first post so if this is obvious please forgive me
I'm a John Cage fan and interested in chance generated working methods.
What i'd like to know is if there is a way to generate random midi events (pitch and velocity) in logic pro or mainstage from an incoming midi signal e.g. any incoming note trigger could trigger any midi note randomly within a user defined range in real time?
Also is it possible to generate random midi events by just letting something run in the background?
NB i know i can randomise events after the fact using the transform window - i just can't work out how to randomise in real time.
sorry if this was a dumb question but any help would be greatly appreciated

You are quite right Christian, but I still think there are some ways to solve that in the Environment. I think so - something like Arpeggiator object may do the job as a Note generator in a combination with some Enviro gear or Macro...

Generating randomized shapes or edges

Hello
I'm trying to generate random billowy shapes (like cartoon clouds or bushes) by simply creating a shape and applying a some kid of brush/pattern/style/script/whatever to it and getting a look like in the below links.
The look I'm trying to achieve is visually simple, like the following:

I can easily draw those kinds of things by hand, however I want to be able to generate such shapes randomly.
Is such a thing possible? Are there existing brushes/patterns/styles/scripts that can pull this off? So far my search has come up with nothing, unless I'm searching wrong.
Generally I'm aware of what brushes and patterns can do, but as far as I can tell they always generate the same results each time you use them.
Perhaps a script can be made to do this?
Essentially a cloud could be drawn as a bunch of random circles grouped together, then all of them get merged into one shape.
I've never scripted in Illustrator before but I'm comfortable with code, however I'd like to avoid spending that time if someone has already done the same thing.

Hi All,
Item text (BSEG-SGTXT) is not getting updated in Payment document generated through F110.
After generating the payment document via Transaction Code u2013 F110, system is not updating the
Text field (BSEG-SGTXT) in the payment document with the text that we have entered in the Invoice (MIRO or FI Invoice).
In case of manual payment (F-53) we can input the text manually hence that will get updated in
payment document but this thing is not possible with F110.
How can I update it?
Is there any configuration for that?

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

How can I detect an external trigger and then generate an event or occurance

I have a PXIe-1065 chassis with a PXIe8030 controller, PXI-6653 timing module, PXI-6542 Digital IO, and PXI-6259 DAQ board, running LabView 8.5. I need to detect a trigger (100 ns TTL pulse) from an external device then start a process on a GPIB device. Is there a way for me to detect this trigger and then generate an event, or an occurance ? Can I do this without polling a device? Can any of this hardware generate an interrupt that LabView can detect?

My screenshot was only an example how you can approach the issue. I wasnt saying that you should try it with AI....
Just take a closer look into the DAQmx Events and you will discover something like this:
