Ipad usage totals less than apps - how to find

My 16GB 3 says 12GB used but apps only total 5GB. I can not download an SD movie without deleting something, but where are those other 7GB hiding? I am traveling and not near my iMAC.

If you don't have cameras on the iPad then it's the first gen iPad, if it does have cameras then it's a 2 or 3 - if you put the serial number (Settings > General > About > Version) in this page, then it should tell what iPad that you have

Hi,
I am using v9. I have written a report that has formulas in it to add two times together giving the total in HH:MM. However, I can't get the total to display correctly if the number of minutes is less than 10. For example: 12 hrs 8 mins is displaying as 12:8 rather than 12:08. My formulas are as follows:
(Maximum ({JOURNAL.PANELLOCALTZDT}, {Person.PersonID})-Minimum ({JOURNAL.PANELLOCALTZDT}, {Person.PersonID}))*24
Truncate ({@Hours Worked})
Remainder ({@Hours Worked},1 )*60
I have tried using format editor to change the way it displays but this didn't work so I guess there must be something I can change in the formula...
Anyone got any ideas?

The trick is to use totext({@yourformula},"00")

I think you should review what you wrote. There is no question, hence, my reply. I can't tell by the AM listing what applications are using memory. You need to click on the Real Mem column once or twice to display in descending order.
Aside from what you see in AM, what exactly is your problem or perceived problem. You are very low on Free Mem at the moment the screen shot was taken. Those displays are not depicting your computer's instantaneous memory usage.

The amount of available RAM for applications is the sum of Free RAM and Inactive RAM. This will change as applications are opened and closed or change from active to inactive status. The Swap figure represents an estimate of the total amount of swap space required for VM if used, but does not necessarily indicate the actual size of the existing swap file. If you are really in need of more RAM that would be indicated by how frequently the system uses VM. If you open the Terminal and run the top command at the prompt you will find information reported on Pageins () and Pageouts (). Pageouts () is the important figure. If the value in the parentheses is 0 (zero) then OS X is not making instantaneous use of VM which means you have adequate physical RAM for the system with the applications you have loaded. If the figure in parentheses is running positive and your hard drive is constantly being used (thrashing) then you need more physical RAM.
Adding RAM only makes it possible to run more programs concurrently. It doesn't speed up the computer nor make games run faster. What it can do is prevent the system from having to use disk-based VM when it runs out of RAM because you are trying to run too many applications concurrently or using applications that are extremely RAM dependent. It will improve the performance of applications that run mostly in RAM or when loading programs.

I have had an apple iPad 2 for less than a year and I have less than 2 pages of apps but when I look at the space meter the "other" section is taking up 6.7 Gb out of 16 Gb on it. I have researched this on the Internet and no one seems to know what it is.

The long and short of it is that you will probably have to restore your iPad. That giant "other" space is a sign of a corrupt file from a sync, I am pretty sure, but I am quite sure that the way to resolve it is to restore the iPad.
You can search the discussion site for similar threads but I think you will find that a restore is the way to correct it. Read this one.

My ipad 2 will not download apps when i try to download them they just say waiting and it does this every time I try.

I had ipad2 almost for eight months and recenytly had problem with appstore but now it is working like before. I exactly did these things:
Remove those recent app that couldn't insall completely (check your itune and remove your old updates list) and
go to setting store and sign out of apple ID and sign in again plus turn off all of the automatic updating
check your available storage (anyway I'm sure you did)
I also remove all of the app that i heard they have problem somehow like google and angry bird...

my iPad air is the 16GB version. Although when I look in general > about > capacity > 12.8GB
when I check usage, I see 4.0GB Free 8.8 used.

Advertised storage space is computed in decimal. In reality, a 16GB storage space is approximately 14.9GB (if I do my math correctly). Your iOS operating system uses some of that space so you're left with 12.8GB remaining space (8.8GB is used by installed apps, music, video etc).

Restrict with variable: selection less than

Hi,
I want to restrict a characteristic against a variable, lets say, Current Fiscal Year. But I want the restriction to be "Less Than" currunt fiscal year and NOT "egual to."
It's an SAP Exit variable that I'm using, so I wana hardcode it to show "less than".
How do I achieve that?

Hi:
For the variable type in query designer, select the Selection Options. Now, when you run the query, you will get to choose all the options inclufing what you want.
If you are not able to see these, create a new variable and make sure you select Type: Selection Options while creating the variable itself.

Filtering Interactive Reports with Greater Than Less Than Operators

The available filter operators in the interactive reports do not include greater than or less than. How is it possible to enable an application user to filter records where greater than or less then logic is needed?
For example the user wants to query records where sysdate falls between a start and end date.

Ya know, that's all well and good ... BUT ... WHAT IF you do want to sort text type columns with Greater Than and Less Than operatiors??
SQL does it just Fine ... so WHY does APEX have the limit??? This is an Oracle BUG ... it SHOULD NOT limit the operators ... I realize "they" may be trying to be helpful with proper constraints to field searches ... but ... if SQL can do it, then ... no need for a limit.
EG ...
Show the records where
the "Begin_Year-Wk" data is less than or equal to "2009-09" AND
the "End_Year-Wk" data is greater than or equal to "2009-04"
... to give everything that was running in that 5 week period whether or not it starts within that time frame
I can run this query perfectly fine via SQL ... but not in APEX ... unless I reconvert a lot of strings back to numbers, and for sorting / formatting / explain-to-user purposes, I really don't want them to be numbers.
So ... there's gotta be a hidden tweak for operators somewhere ...

Why is my iPad 2 taking so long to download the find my iPod app

i am new to doing this until today so i hope someone can help me.
My son lost his iPod and my iPad is acting like it is freezing up when I try to download the app "how to find my iPhone " (I know I am looking for is iPod but it said it would work to find iPods.
And while ole I am asking How can I speed up my iPad (my daughter uses it more then I get to but it seems to be extremely slow ,I know it is better versions then a iPad 2nd generation,but I got it brand new just a year ago.
ALso. I need help with linking all my apple products to my iPad so I know I can know where my kids iPods are and also get the music my son downloaded that I paid for . I bought a different phone and so I lost all my paid music from iTunes that I bought also .
I Feel so lost with Apple products , I don't use it often but my son uses his iPod everynight to unwind and it has been weeks !!!!

Thanks for the help.....yes! have downloaded the ios8.1.1, and also using the wall power adaptor that came with the Ipad. I'm sure now if the problem is with the device or with the adaptor. Although when charging it shows the lightening sign next to the battery symbol but the % doesn't really move. I've also tried turning off the device and charging but that hasn't made too much of a difference....for instance its been charging for three hours now and it only gone up 1%. This though has only been evident today. Is there anyway of testing or any diagnosis app which can be use to test if its the adaptor thats the problem or the device???

I am new to Numbers and have a cell that subtracts the values of one cell from another. If the sum ends up being less than "0" how can I make that value "0".
The equations in the cell is currently:
=SUM('8” Ordered' Red-'8” Delivered' Red)
or
=SUM(B2-C2)
The resulting value is (15) however I need it to be "0".

I offer two solutions:
IF(B2-C2<0,0,B2-C2)
If the difference is negative, the result is 0, otherwise it is the positive result.
or
IF(B2<C2,0,B2-C2)
If I subtract a larger number from a smaller number enter 0, otherwise enter the difference
