IPad using HDMI connector to TV, problems with picture size

I Have an HDMI connection to connect my iPad 2 to my TV. This works fine with Netflix and the BBC iPlayer, but with other apps, e.g. Mubi, the picture only takes up part of the TV screen. I have tried adjusting the TV screen display, but this doesn't have any effect.

That is not a common defect, so the way to debug is to substitute know-good components {computer, cable, TV ports, TV set } for each item involved until you can determine that the problem follows a particular component, then repair that one.
Based on the test you have done so far, peanut butter on the Mac end of the cable is a prime suspect.

Hi any one else had this issue? I have always connected my iPad 2 to my tv via a apple made hdmi connector, used mainly for fils on netflix eat. Since firmware updated to 7.3 this no longer works. Is this anther apple issue? My wife has an iPad 3, pre lightening and the "official" adapter has never works just get a message that states the attached accessory is not supported.... I have an ipad 2 running ios 6.0.1 and an older Dell TV (1080i) and have always been able to mirror. Running ios 5 the mirroring worked perfectly for sound and video. Don't remember if I tried while running 5.1. Now that I have 6.0.1, I can still mirror, but the whole screen is pink on this Dell TV. When I make the connection from ipad to the tv, mirroring starts immediately and the notification bar on the ipad home screen pulsates from blue to black and the cable is detected. I have sound and video working fine except for the colors. The ipad detects the AV Composite cable under settings>about but there is no TV out setting under General Settings where I'm supposed to see TV OUT listed under iTunes Wi-Fi sync. I have changed the hdmi to a new one, but it didn't help. I also have a new Panasonic Viera tv and everything (with the same cables) works perfectly on that TV. Leads me to believe it's an issue with the TV OUT function of the ipad. I don't know if any of this is helfpul information, but I thought it might help you narrow down what is going on with your setup.

I am a bit frustrated with the fact that I purchased all of the adapters/connectors for my iPad 2 back in the day - and now all are pretty much worthless with the iPad (4th gen.)

Can you use hdmi to rgb composite cable with Mac mini

I am thinkining of getting a mac mini .vI have a older jvc 2004 wit rgb composite conection .Can you use hdmi to rgb composite cable with Mac mini or do yo have to use a hdmi to composite converter to hook up to the tv wit Mac mini

This isn't an issue. Notice the screen prior to the one that shows usage has an iCloud section and a Manage Storage button. For this button to activate ios needs to download a few kb from icloud. Switching back to this screen forces ios to download those few kb.

J'ai un problème avec les mails contenant une ou des photos envoyés et reçus de mon IPAD3 vers un autre IPAD3.
Lorsque j'envoie un mail avec une photo prise dans un de mes albums, le destinataire ne reçoit pas la bonne photo sur son IPAD alors que le même mail ouvert sur un PC ouvre la bonne photo. La photo qui s'ouvre sur son IPAD est une des photos de ses albums a lui.
L'inverse est identique,si on m'envoie un mail je n'ouvre pas la bonne photo sur mon IPAD.
Je connais plusieurs personnes ayant le même problème avec leur IPAD3.
Que puis je faire ?

I have an email problem with picture sent and received from on my IPAD3 to an other IPAD3.
When I send an email with a picture from one of my albums, the receiver don't receive /open the good picture on his IPAD. But in a PC the good picture has received. The picture opened is one of his albums.
The opposite is the same, when I receive an email with picture from an IPAD, a wrong picture is opened.
I know some people with the same problem.
What can I do ?

I am having the same problem and it is even bigger.
When opening a 1-page PDF in iBooks and sending it via mail it is sent inline as preview, but the recipient cannot open the file anymore. Also on iPad and iPhone there is no "open in" possible.
Somehow the mail app does destroy the file. What is going wrong?

This bug figures out also when creating a custom spark ComboBox, then trying to programatically update the userProposedSelectedIndex property. The proposed selected index is selected, but does not apply the same skin as when mouse is on rollover or item is selected due to up and down keys.
The issue seems like updating the status of the item renderer to rollover or selected to get the same skin applied.

Problem with font size, not showing up as expected.

I've been wrestling with this for a few weeks now, but surely must be getting closer to having it resolved. It's just a problem with font size on just this one page.

I want the body text to be 10px, but after two weeks, have played with every conceivable way, altering body font size in CSS and in the document itself. I've viewing it in Safari but others on Windows machines tell me that it is out of whack also.
My main problem is that I can change the font size to extremes but it still shows up as the same size in the browser (about 12px.) I know changes can be made because I can modify the wording and that does change online. It's just a problem with the font size. Oh, and in the third column, the one to the right, in Dreamweaver, the font looks like it is miniscule, cannot even be read, but in the browser, since the style11 is applied, all three columns look equal size.
Not sure where to go from here. I just want to get the body font down to 10 pixels.

What would really help you in diagnosing issues such as this is to install the Firebug add-in for Firefox (as suggested in the earlier thread).
Firebug shows you visually what CSS rules apply to whatever element you click on the screen.
In this case, you have a confusion of CSS font sizes cascading on top of each other and that's confused again by mixing units for no real reason. .style11 is unnecessarily applied to lots of individual <p> tags. Remove those classes and delete the rule.
e.g.
The tiny font in the RHS column is affected first by

affecting the <td> then by
.style11 {font-size: 75%}
affecting the <p> tag.
End result = tiny text (approx 2px).
In these cases of mass confusion, my approach is to strip out all font sizing from the CSS and start over.
Avoid %. Use px.
Apply font sizing rules logically starting from the <body> tag downwards.
That'll give you a solid baseline without weird effects.

Problem with Cell size in Excel output of XML report

Dear all,
I am facing a problem with cell size when i run my XML report in Excel output. I found that it imitates the cell size of whatever i gave in the RTF. I cannot increase the cell size in RTF as my report contains 60 columns and max width of MS Word table is 22 inches.
Can any one suggest a way of doing this which shows full data in Excel sheet depending on the column data size with out any word wrap.

Will sky go work with iPad 3 hdmi connector

I have no probs with utube using air share, and there probably is some protection with sky that stops
me doing this but I was to buy a hdmi connector would this allow me to show sky go on mt tv.

In the photo the connector looks the same, BUT in the "Compatibility" section it only lists iPad 1 & 2.
Other accessories have listing in "compatibility" section for iPad 1, 2,& 3, I thought this might be incompatible as iPad 3 isn't listed.
I don't have a problem with the cable I have { I don't think I do, anyhow } I am wanting to have the extra cable in my Lounge room and one in Bedroom.

Just bought a hdmi connector tonight with the intention of watching Netflix. Video works great. However, the audio is not working. Static is so bad I can't hear anything. Is there a problem with my setting or is my iPad defective???

No. I've been using the same Apple ID on my iPhone and iPad for years without problems. If fact, if both devices are yours and you use both devices having the same Apple ID on each of them is preferable.

No signal in my Samsung tv when I use HDMI connector?
