IPad version of remote
When can we expect to see an iPad version of apples iTunes remote app? Not fun using the iPhone version on this nice big screen.
I too am wondering that as my laptop will start being used as a media hub sort of thing once I get my iPad. Streaming movies and things to my iPad an connected up to my speaker system to play music and things.

I wouldn't be surprised if that feature would show up in GarageBand for OSX sometime in the future. The Autoplay are just patterns that are modified to some degree by the user input. The output is a MIDI Region that is played by a MIDI Instrument. That's why you can edit those Autoplay pattern once you recorded them.
Recording them and open the Project in GarageBand on the Mac is the way to go.
Some of the Touch Instrument features that are unique to GarageBand for iPad (and not GarageBand on the Mac), can still be used on the Mac version of the GarageBand by using the iPad app "Logic Remote". It lets you use most of the Touch Instrument interface on the iPad to play the instruments on the GarageBand for Mac version. A little bit of both worlds. I wrote the only comprehensive manual for Logic Remote, "Logic Remote - How it Works", that explains everything for that app.

I scanned document with IPad app AiO Remote and HP printer.
App created .pdf file 306 Mb in documents folder on my iPad Air iOS 8
When I tried to open document in AiO Remote, I receive error:
Not enough memory to complete operation.
And then .pdf preview window showed error
The operation couldn't be completed.
NSURLERRORDOMAIN error -999
Is there any way to save my scanned .pdf document and what is this error means?

I understand that you are getting error messages when trying to use the AIO remote app.
I would like to help.
I get the 'Not enough memory to complete operation' message tells me that you might be running out of room on the iPad.
Also, the -999 error usually means: another request is made before the previous request is completed.
You could uninstall, then reinstall the app.
There is a Cloud Services department that supports the App.

My iPad (version 1, IOS 5.1) has quit connecting with the store. I am unable to update or buy any app. I did a reboot and a reset with deleting the data. I can not find anything in support for this problem. Any help will be appreciated.

App Store Genius in iOS 6 on iPad - does it still show iPad version of apps?
I've used the App Store Genius feature on an iPad that indicates when an iPad version of an installed app is available. The concept, in detail, is that if you have copied or downloaded an iPhone version of an app onto your iPad, this Genius feature lets you know if an iPad-specific version of the same app is available. This feature can obviously be quite handy for someone with both an iPhone and iPad who keeps largely the same apps on each.
I just updated to iOS 6, and I can no longer locate his feature within the App Store on an iPad. (I am using an iPad 2, specifically, though I don't see think should matter for this issue.) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!Yeah. I think one thing I used to like about Apple's App store over android google play store is that browsing by release date, I can discover some surprises. Top Paid and Top Free are often the big names or the cookie-mold free-to-play timesinks and they often stay there for a very long time. Please bring back the release date tab!

Open the App Store app, go to the Featured pane, swipe to the bottom, tap your Apple ID and sign out. Tap again and sign in. The App Store will be changed to the store for which your account is authorized to make purchases.

I upgraded to the iPad Version of Pages
I just wanted to add my voice to the already swarming people about my utter disappointment in the "Upgrade" to Pages.
First of all, When I saw it was a Free Upgrade, I immediately became suspicious. Apple only ever gives Free Upgrades or Free products when it knows its not going to go over well. (Bumper Cases), etc. And it being free, they believe that they can defang the descenters.
Yet, I still held out hope that it would be an upgrade and ADD enhancements and streamline an already GREAT word processing program. I Stopped using MS Word years ago, because I liked Pages so much more. Once I got it installed, i found out, that I had upgraded to the iPad version of Pages.
Here is this revolutionary device, the iPad. Following the iPhone as the best new device in the History of Ever. AND IT WAS!... What made it GREAT is that in general, it ran REAL software. Not the nerf'd web browser of similar devices that really never worked. Steve Jobs made it part of the WOW when he said.. Here is this new Device. IT RUNS THE SAME SAFARI as on the Mac (same general capabilities). It Was Awesome.
Fast forward to now, I have had an iPad since the iPad ONE. Im an avid user of all apple devices. When they released Pages for the iPad, I forked over the $20USD to purchase it thinking HEY, it would be just like using it on the Mac. Well, it wasnt. It was a nerf'd version. But even still that was sorta understandable. A good word processor for a tablet even as advanced as the iPad, was sure to ge a difficult challenge. Subtle updates, and such to Pages on iPad helped, but I can honestly say, Pages for iPad never worked for me as THE PLACE i wanted to go to build complex, full feature documents.
So Apple in their thinking outside the box manner (which usually turns out good things), goes and "upgrades" the Mac, Full-Featured version of pages to resemble the iPad version which had never been a great word processor to begin with. What a mighty disappointment.
I understand that these days, Apple no longer innovates for the sake of innovation, their innovation is driven by the market. For such a great company, with such a great legacy, it is such a disappointment.
Sorry Apple, you got this one wrong...!When I checked out the on-line help for Pages, it distinctly mentions two types of document layouts: blank-template-based (like a simple letter) and placeholder-based (like a pamphlet).
With blank templates, you just type as if you're in a standard word processor (perhaps my use of the word "freeform" didn't help matters much).
With placeholder-based templates, you insert text boxes for where you want text to appear.
Here's some wording from Apple's own on-line help file:
If you’re using a blank template, just start typing to add text to the body of your document. If you’re using a template with placeholder text, first select the placeholder text; whatever you type replaces it. As you enter text, new pages are added automatically to accommodate it.
And as far as I can tell, new pages are NOT automatically added when using placeholder text. -
I am using my Ipad on a remote craftshow site and am having problems with battery lasting 8 hrs. Can I use a 12v rv battery to recharge it or at least maintain the charge over longer periods of time? I have a dc adapter. thanks
You should be able to use the battery if you get a car type charger which recharges mobile devices.
The full size iPads use a 10-12W charger, whereas the mini uses a 5W charger. Many car chargers only supply 5W. But at 5W, the car charger should give you some extra time on your iPad. It would be best to use a 10-12W car charger.

ipad - how to push Exchange calendar events to iCloud account? MobileIron is used to get Exchange data -- is there an app to push the ipad version of the events to iCloud?
There are two separate calendars on ipad (ios 7.1) one for icloud, one fo exchange. I have tried a couple of calendar apps and while they do a good job of showing the events in the app - they don't push (synch) back to iCloud. Any thoughts on an app that will take my ipad calendars and synch them to a single icloud calendar/account?

I plug my computer into my stereo and use the remote app on my iPhone to control it. How can I control my wires iPad with the remote app on my iphone when it is plugged into the stereo? they are different iTunes accounts.
I think this is probably a sign that your network could be better than it is.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. -
I used to able to access and listen to my itunes library on my ipad using the remote app but this no longer works. I am connected but sound thru ipad- just controls my library on iMac. Is this because of they want us to use itunes match
That has nothing to do with iTunes match. The Remote app on iPad can control the computer's iTunes but not play content from iTunes on your iPad.
To play for example iTunes imusic on iPad
You need to have Home Sharing On.
Check Settings > Music > Home Sharing (key in your Apple ID & password here, must be the same on computer's iTunes)
Start iPad's Music app, tap the ... More (bottom right), tap Shared.
Choose your iTunes' library and have fun. -
I have an ipad, version 5.1.1 and ibooks no longer works, i have followed advice re restarting etc but no joy. is there a way i can send the contents somewhere and retieve them especially pdf's? i have synced with itunes and they are not accessible with my laptop. any advice would be gratefully recieved.
The latest version of iBooks in the App Store will not work with iOS 5.1.1.

Some apps require Adobe Flash; however, when I attempt to upload the program, I receive message to the effect that my iPad (version 7.0) cannot support Adobe Flash, so I am unable to view some attachments sent. I just bought my iPad recently and am still figuring everything out. If there is some solution to my problem, I would appreciate being advised. Thanks.

i have an ipad version 5.1.1. i have multiple albums in the ipad and i want to transfer some photos to my computer but when i open the ipad files via "computer" i can only see pictures from one of the albums.what should i do?
You can only import photos from the camera roll into the computer. Is that the album that you are seeing?
Any albums that you create on the device itself (the iPad that is) cannot be transferred to your computer. iPad created albums do not contain copies of your photos but merely pointers to those photos so they do not actually exist in those albums.
