IPad video to car DVD - has no sound with composite cable

Hi,
I'm trying to watch iPad movies on my in car DVD system. Through a genuine apple composite cable I can get video with out sound. When I connect the USB from the composite I get sound but no video.
Any ideas??
I have iPad 2.
Stereo in car is JVC 846.

I do have the same Problem with my F10
I can capture TV with sound, but not either S-Video or FBAS with sound. In ShowBiz I can see, that recording TV I can choose Audio from the built in capture device - no other soudn device. Recording either S-Video or FBAS I can not choose ANY audio recording device. But if I want to record audio, I CAN choose an audio device other than the built in TV-capturing device - namely the audio device.
It seems that trying to capture video via the built in cpturing device, you HAVE TO capture audio from the SAME device - and that using the S-Video or FBAS Input there is no Audio there - and so capturing video from anything else than TV is not possible to combine with audio capturing from an other source.
The only chance is to capture video and audio seperate (one after the other) and mix them together in WinDVD Creator or Showbiz -

What video inputs does the car DVD player have? You can (depending upon the model iPod you have) purchase video-out connectors that have VGA, component and composite out. Some movies, depending upon the source, may have DRM protection that prevent using the VGA out.

I Phone 4 S has no sound with IOS 8

I have an 32 Gig I Phone 4 S that has no sound sine I upgraded to IOS 8. No resolution after 4 subsequent IOS 8 updates. Thought I could down grade to IO 7. I am told that is not possible [why not?]
I have done:
[1] full factory restore and latest download of IO 8... I have done this 3 times
[2] I have done full factory restore and set it up as new phone and before I imported a single app or even a contact, had same sound issue.
Apple, you said IO 8 would work on my phone. It does not [diagnostics say my phone is fine]
IOS 8 does not work on my iphone 4 S. I have had no sound and thus no turn by turn directions, no music, no you tube, no online streaming of any sound since September 17th.
I am the usual story of the resurgence of Apple, I bought an I Pod, then an I phone, then a Mac Mini, Macbook pro and even an Apple TV.
If I google "problems with IOS8" I get 99,500 hits. There are 82 pages alone of comments about wifi issues with IOS 8.
Apple, you broke my phone with your software update, please fix it or replace it. It is not OK to treat a good customer like this. If you something that isn't yours, it is common courtesy to fix,replace or pay for it. This is something we teach children.

Well, Apple does not participate in the forum, so they will not hear all of the things that you have asked them to do. If you restored the device as new and tested it with no content added and it was still not working correctly, then you need to make an appointment at the Genius Bar at the nearest Apple store to have the hardware checked. Then when there you can tell the Genius everything you wanted to tell Apple here, about the number of Google hits you received, the fact they broke your phone and want it fixed or replaced. and that you feel they should not be treating you like they are. Video to TV with composite cable not working

I bought a iPod cable that connects my iPod to a TV. When I plug it in the video usually just plays on the iPod but not the TV. Audio does play through the TV. When I play around with it by playing with the video preferences it periodically start to work. When it is working the iPod displays the title page only and the TV displays the video. When I do get it to work it only last about a minute and the the video turns off. When I turn it back on, the video goes back to displaying on the iPod only. I have the latest version IPT and OS 2.2
Any ideas??

It is a 3rd party supplier. My wife has the 1st generation IPT and has the same cable, but is from Apple. I will try it out later today. I will also see if her IPT works with my cable.
I think it would be pretty strange that the manufacturer of this 3rd party cable would not try out the cable first.

Video inserted in Keynote has no sound on iPad Air, how can I resolve this?

I have saved a video from iMoves to my camera roll on my iPad Air. It plays fine in both programmes. Only when I insert it into a keynote presentation does it play with no sound. Can somebody help me resolve this please?

Try this. Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and cache (data in iOS 5) then restart the iPad. If that doesn't help, look here for more tips.

PS CS6 has no sound with AVCHD videos from Sony Cybershot

System Specs:
PS CS6, fully updated
win7/64 fully patched
16gb ram, 11+ GB free
ssd scratch drive, 40gb free
camera: Sony cybershot dsc-hx30v
files: *.MTS
CPU: intel quad core sandy bridge 2600k, 3.4Ghz
GPU: AMD 6950 2gb
The videos play fine in VLC 2.0.1, windows media player, GSpot 2.70a (in thumbnail window). An ancient Nero showtime even sort of plays the video (choppy and partially mangled), but the audio is fine. VLC and WMP play smoothly at full screen, 2560x1600.
In PS, there is no audio. Both microphone icons have sound waves emanating and I have tried all 4 combinations of mute and play.
I can edit and save them to h.264, high quality, 1920x1080, 59.94 fps, progressive *.mp4 file. The video plays on the other players, but again there is no sound.
GSpot shows LAV splitter -> ffdshow addio decoder -> ac3filter -> default directSound device (see details below)
When playing in PS, the video is choppy. It will play for ~1/2 second and then stutter.
Searching for a suitable group with key words (photoshop cs6 avchd video no sound)
yields 505 groups. Looks like any group to have ever had cs6 in a thread. Hmmm.
It can't be a codec problem if every other video product I have plays the files. It is certainly not a hardware limitation. It looks like a PS bug.

It is perfectly legal to decode Dolby to simple stereo with the licensed codec included with Windows 7. There may be some restriction on writing AC-3 content in 5.1 format. If Adobe wanted to, it could read from the licensed, installed codec and write the edited files in any of the audio formats it does support.

There are dozens of digital cameras and camcorders from Canon, Hitachi, JVC, Leica, Panasonic and Sony which use AVCHD and many more are on the way.
Almost every medium and top-tier video editor also supports AVCHD/MTS format including Avid, Premier, Final Cut, AVS, Blender, VideoStudio, PowerDirector, Windoz Movie Maker, Nero, Pinnacle, Vegas and Openshot.

Adobe needs to add a bit of fine print here:

I feel that I was mislead by Adobe. And Adobe is still advertising this "Any Clip" claim even though the Dolby "defect" was reported in March in Beta testing. Please don't advertise what you don't support.

T43 DVD has no sound / audio

I had a virus problem some time ago. I got rid of the virus but it did some damage to one of my drivers. I checked out Windows Media Player using dxdiag and it checks out ok. Only the DVD sound doesn't work. everything else seems ok. I tried to download a Movie Player program and it didn't download correctly. I still think it's a driver. But which driver ???

IPhone 5 connected to Pioneer car stereo has no sound

I have a Pioneer AVIC-X940BT head unit and an iPhone 5 with iOS 6.01. I connected the iPhone to the head unit via a Lighting to 30-pin adapter. At first I couldn't get the iPhone to communicate with the head unit but after doing a hard reset on the iPhone it is communicating...sort of. If I use Pandora, Aha Radio or try to play my music on the iPhone the controls come up but there is no sound. If I use the iPhone with my headphones I have sound. I install AppRadio from the iTunes store but that didn't help.

Okay... no replies from anybody, but fortunately, it seems that the IOS 5.1 update fixed all the volume issues. Hopefully this helps somebody else.

My Sony DVD has a ghost with it. New Drive needed

Well i got one of the Sony drives and it is loud when it is running , which is okay but now at least once a day i have a Ghost come in my office and open the main superdrive than a few minutes later it closes . Maybe it is the ghost of Dell still lurking in my office. LOL
Anyway for less than a 100 dollars i may just change it out. So what is rated the absolute best for this machine cost be damned. preformance and noise count. i heard a couple names flying around but i will let the Mac pro's recommend something good . I burn quite a few DVD's for clients of my images and the more i do the more money i make. LOL

Aren't they all really loud and bothersome? I don't believe I've come across a quiet drive when burning at 16x. Even at 8x they're all really loud. Or is that just me?

Akai mini controller has no sound with or without GarageBand?

I found that sometimes there is no sound from the Akai Mini Controller with it is used with GarageBand and completely no sound when played on its own. Something wrong?

Connecting iPad to projector (tv) via Denon avr 590 with hdmi cable

I did connect my iPad with hdmi to hdmi port I can hear sound but cannot see the video. I am using Netflix streaming. What am I doing wrong?

I use the Apple TV Adaptor. You connect IT to your TV, which means no Cable restrictions on your i Pad. The Adaptor is under my TV allowing the i Pad to be anywhere close by.

IPad video app no sound.

recently, I just realized that my iPad video app does not produce any sound after I have recorded it. can somebody help me with it? so does Skype app too. it does not produce any sound and can't be heard clearly.

I was having same issues as many others ie sound only using headphones but no speaker output. I had tried everything listed in the forums including resetting device,headphone plug etc etc.
Solution for my device was to enter settings / notifications and change the notifications tab from manual to time and back again. Also I generally changed any button mentioning sound in the notifications list from on to off and back to on.
Once I did this the volume bars reappeared on screen controlled by the volume up down buttons. I was then back in business and the speaker was outptting audio again............................strange.............dont ask me how I arrived at this point but it worked. I was one call away from returning to Apple under warranty.

Video mirroring not working iPad composite cable

I have a brand new iPad 3 with iOS 5.1 and I can't get my video out over to my tv via my composite cable. It says device not supported when I plug it in but I've read in other forums to ignore that notification. When I attempt to play video it only plays on the iPad with no sound. Nothing is transferred to the tv. The composite cable works fine with my iPhone 4 running iOS 5. If anyone could provide help it would be greatly appreciated.

iPad 1 is not capable of Mirroring, thorugh Airplay or otherwise.. You could perhaps Airplay from Apps with Video Output such as the videos App or the Photos App in slideshow mode.

I want to copy a streaming video that my company has provided me with a link to a website that streams video presentation to my computer (provided I have an internet connection). However, for those occasions where I have no access to the internet, I would lioke to have the presentation on a disk. Is there a simple way to get the video downloaded and copied to a disk using the equipment I have?

One option is to create a new partition (~30- 50 GB), install the new OS, and ‘test drive’ it. If you like/don’t like it it, you can then remove the partition. Do a backup before you do anything. By doing this, if you don’t like it you won’t have to go though the revert process.

Have you tried a soft-reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
