IPad videos into PowerPoint

I took some videos with my iPad.  I wanted to add them into a PowerPoint presentation, but I am no able to see these videos as pictures after I import them frm my iPad to my laptop.  I tried emailing the videos to myself, but QuickTime required me to purchase additional software in order to save these videos t my desktop.  PowerPoint does not appear to recognize th videos when I attempt to add them.   Any suggestins?
Thanks, Brian

It is advertised that iOS4 allows grouping apps into folders:
Folders
Folders are the best way to keep your apps organized and easily accessible. To create a folder, you simply touch and hold an app until it wiggles, then drag it on top of another. iOS 4 automatically assigns a name to your folder based on the category of the apps inside it, or you can choose your own name. To access your apps, just tap the folder to bring up its contents, then tap the app to open it. Simple. Learn more about folders.
It also says you can organize photos by:
Organize photos by Places.
iPhone 4 geotags your photos as you take them. So you can browse them based on where they were taken. To see all the photos you took in London, for example, tap the Places button, then tap the pin on London. You can even zoom in on the map to see places within London where you took pictures, such as Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, or other landmarks.
Organize photos by Faces.
iPhone works seamlessly with Faces in iPhoto for the Mac, so you can view your photos organized not only by event or place but also by who’s in them. Say you want to see pictures of your best friend. Tap her picture in Faces view to open an album containing photos of her.
Nothing about photo folders.

  • Embedding YouTube video into PowerPoint for Mac

How can one embed a YouTube video into PowerPoint for Mac 2010?  The video tutorials do not show the same Power Point (for Mac) that I'm using.  Even if I can just save (and retrieve) the file I just might be able to convert it to an MP4 for YouTube.  I've tried keepvid and it wants a valid file format.  The default is a text which doesn't work.  I've spent about 8 hours over the past 2 days trying to figure it out.  HELP!!!!!!

  • Inserting Video into Powerpoint Slide

I need to place digital video into a powerpoint slide, what would be the quicktime settings, should it be interlaced or progressive?

In addition to those things already suggested I would add the following:
If the presentation is being run from a windows platform (likely if you are preparing for powerpoint), they usually handle mpeg or wmv files better than quicktime.
When making the mpeg or wmv, don't set the resolution or bit rates too high. There are usually fairly high overheads of memory and processor usage in running a video within the presentation and if the resolution or bit rate is too high the system won't keep up. This results in poor quality video, dropped frames etc. For the same reason it is a good idea not to resize the video in the presentation. Audiences usually accept slightly soft or blocky video better than stuttering ones.
Make sure the files are copied to the system's hard drive and not run from a CD. Laptop drives often have trouble keeping up with higher data rates and they are usually set to spin down when not in use for a while.
Test the result on the target system!!! If you can't access the target system find a slow one to test it on unless you know the performance of the one it will be run on.
Our company does live event work as well as post-production and we often see bad results, usually accompanied by comments like "it ran all right at home (on son/daughter's gaming machine), but it isn't working very well on my (5 year old) laptop".
In summing up, I would suggest being conservative rather than trying to impress with dazzling effects and huge high resolution pictures.

  • How do i import 480x360 ipad video into fce?

I'm trying to import video from my ipad into fce. Is there a way to set up my sequence with 480x360 parameters? I'd rather not have to render it when bringing it in.
    Thanks,
    Bob

" Is there a way to set up my sequence with 480x360 parameters?"
    No.
That size should be transcoded to a size that is the same as an FCE Easy Setup.
I'd use a DV Easy Setup.

  • Keynote video to powerpoint

Keynote touts a multi media capability beyond functional use.  How do I share Keynotes above 100mb?  I've created a 10 page instructional Keynote with video explainations of a process but can't get it off my iPad because iCloud servers won't e-mail it because of its size.  It's on my iCloud but I can't open it because of its size.  It can't be e-mailed from iCloud because of its size.  Keynote does not convert video into PowerPoint.  I simply can't find a way to get it off my IPad to share.
What gives?  Not quite what I expect from Apple.  I can't even upload a large Keynote to Google Drive or Dropbox.
I recently purchased an upgrade to my iCloud memory.  I wan't that upgrade refunded immediately.  I'll simply have to figure this out on another platform.  I'm able to create, e-mail, and upload a similare product with Microsoft PowerPoint so there we have it... Apple doesn't quite cut the mustard again.
    Greg

I was hoping to get all of this under my belt before I began my new job.  A job where they don't allow employees to install iTunes on their computers.
I'm experimenting with using iCloud.com to download the .key onto my PC so I can Dropbox or Google Drive links to people I want to share with.
Can you USB the IPad to the PC to transfer the file to a network drive?  Probably need iTunes again, right?  If so, not viable.
Interesting problem considering how much Apple charges for memory both on the IPad and the iCloud, although, iCloud is not share friendly over 100mb.  Oh, how easy this would be with USB.
So, when my employer gives me the choice, laptop or iPad, I'll be saying laptop (PC) and keep my personal IPad handy for those special times when I can fit a high power presentation on it that I don't have to share with coworkers (a never scenario).

  • Can't import iPad videos in Final Cut Pro X

Hello there, anyone knows if there are recent issues in importing iPad videos into Final Cut Pro X?
I follow the ordinary workflow, and it all seems ok but at the end of the importing process a "!" yellow triangle remains attached to the imported clip and this one can't be played.
Already tried to make a high quality conversionand/or a proxy, the conversion process seems to start but it doesn't go further than 0%.
Thanks in advcance for your help.
PS: the videos have been teaken with the "Video Pro" app an then exported to the iPad "film roll".
PPS: in the importing window the clips can be played normally.

Russ, I succeed in importing some files by transcoding them in a proxy one by one (that is not in a work queue). Some other files simply stops the rendering process and make it hang until the closing of FCPX. Thanks for your time.

  • Embedding clipped Youtube video into Keynote on iPad?

Is it possible to embed a clipped youtube video into a keynote presentation on the ipad? I know how to do it in Powerpoint, but that doesn't help me as I don't have powerpoint at home and am having to rely on trying to do it with Keynote on my ipad.
    Thanks!

Two possibilities I can think of. MAke sure that the side button on your ipad is set to screen lock & not mute. If it is set to mute, you'll need to slide it to unmute it before the speaker will work. Otherwise, it sounds like some kind of software glitch. I'd do a reset (I think you hold down the power button & the button on the top for like 10 seconds, until you get the screen asking if you want to turn your ipad off. Follow through, give it a few seconds, then restart it.

  • When using Windows MS Word, you can insert an object such as a video into your document - can anyone tell me how to do that with Pages on an iPad please?  Thanks!

    Hi
When I was a PC user, I could insert an object such as a video into my MS Word document - and it would appear as an icon, which when clicked, would begin to play the video.
I find that I cannot insert such videos/movies into my Pages document on my iPad, but maybe I am missing something, being new to the Apple way of doing things?:)  Would appreciate any help, thanks!

    "maybe I am missing something"
    Maybe you are.
This forum/community is named "AppleWorks" because it is intended to discuss issues and techniques involving the now discontinued Apple productivity application AppleWorks.
Your question concerns Pages, and specifically, Pages for iOS, the version that runs on iPad (and other iOS devices).
Admittedly, the Pages for iOS community is difficult to locate. It's rolled in with the other iWork applications in a community named iWork for iOS, where you'll find several people willing and able to answer your question. The link will take you there.

    Barry

  • Why does my iPad video shoot in 24 fps when 25 fps PAL is the standard for Europe?

At some point in trying to get my iPad 2 video into a viewable place ie my TV I had an alert telling me the iPad video at 24 fps conflicted with my iMac settings in iMovie (or it may have been iTunes) which was set up for 25 fps PAL. Is there a way to shoot 25 fps PAL on the iPad to avoid degrading quality when converting?

    Try the Settings app.
Tap on the left under the video button.
Look for the heading TV Signal.
    Change from NTSC to PAL.
    Perhaps this should/might work.

  • Cannot play the video in powerpoint when connected to projector

i have linked a video into a powerpoint slide... it played perfectly on the screen. but when connected to projector it cannot be played.
i am using a macbook pro with Lion OS.
    Thanks!

I had the same problem today in front of an audience with 300 people (MacbookPro OSX 10.10, Thunderbolt-VGA adapter, PPT 14.4.6).
Here what I figured out so far:
    1. It happens when you have PPT open and connect to beamer afterwards
    2. You can resolve it (in my case) by quitting PPT and launching it WHEN connected to beamer
    3. Yet, make sure Mac does not go into sleep mode or you get a lock-screen in the waiting time. if you do so, you get back to square 1. quit PPT again 2. restart it.
    4. Also.... in one case I had to hit the volume control once to get the sound back even though movie was playing
So in short: Connect to beamer first, then launch PPT
I know it is only a symptom fix but it worked for me
