Ipad vs my webcam

Does the iPad except webcam's, if so can some explain how to install?

If you think of something like a webcam with USB interface, that most certainly won't work.
Anyway you could look around for a webcam with WiFi interface, such a thing can be controlled and set up via web browser and doesn't need software to be installed…
enjoy your magic machine

  • MOBIOLA WEBCAM and FLASH Issue

    Hello,
I've used for a long time Mobiola WEBCAM (app that turns one's iPhone/iPad into a webcam via WIFI) in Skype and video chat sites like Omegle (all done through GOOGLE CHROME), up until yesterday.
As of today, any of my browsers or my Skype applications on my MAC MINI won't recognize my VIdeo FEED.
I do get a connection between the iPhone/iPAD and the MAC MINI, but the VIDEO is not being "fed/transferred" for some reason to the browsers or Skype.
Is it a adobe flash issue? Mac os x issue? I should I proceed?
    Technical INFO:
    Skype version: 6.15
MAC OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5
iOs: 8.1.1 (on both ipad and iphone)
    Google Chrome: 39.0.2171.71 (64-bit)
    Thanks a lot,
    Chen

    Hello MattyEss
From your posted info, you have been thorough in your troubleshooting and research.
Because your iSight works perfectly in every app aside from flash, iSight is not your problem.
Your problem seems to me to be entirely with Flash. Here follow my best suggestions.
    (1) If all your software is up to date and working properly otherwise, your best answers for your Flash-specific problem should be from Adobe, whether via Settings/Help, Flash Forum, or personal assistance. You can find links to all of Adobe's comprehensive help offerings here:
      http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/
    (2) Although I doubt it will help you, if you have a current Flash version installed and want to try one more thing before using Adobe Help, applying the 10.6.6 Combo Update might help you:
      • Backup your Mac and turn off Time Machine
      • Disconnect peripherals and restart Mac
      • Use Disk Utility to repair permissions
      • Download and install http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1349
      • Repair permissions again immediately following the restart that finishes the update.
      • Test Flash. Reconnect needed peripherals and test again.
(• Turn Time Machine on again when you are satisfied that the update worked.)
Although I don't think the Combo Update is likely to resolve your problem, it costs nothing but a bit of time to find out if it helps your system.
We will watch for your status update.

  • Ipad and iphone link

I would like to use my 'wifi only' ipad as a webcam to view from my iphone when I am away. Is this possible?

Yes, with the appropriate App on both devices.
    Something like this:
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/iwatcher-remote-camera-pro/id655207895?mt=8
There may be others that will allow watching over the internet rather than just a wifi network. Search the App Store.

  • Issue after latest security update on WEBCAM via WiFi (MOBIOLA WEBCAM APP)

    Hello everyone,
I've used for a long time Mobiola WEBCAM (app that turns one's iPhone/iPad into a webcam via WIFI) in Skype/Viber and video chat sites like Omegle (all done through GOOGLE CHROME), up until yesterday.
As of today, any of my browsers or my Skype?Viber applications on my MAC MINI (late 2012) won't recognize my Video FEED.
I do get a connection between the iPhone/iPAD and the MAC MINI, I see the video working properly on the app (MOBIOLA WEBAM) but the VIDEO is not being "fed/transferred" for some reason to any browser or Skype/Viber.
I've have tried to use the WEbcam on other browsers such as Safari, Firefox and Opera to no avail. I'm simply not able to make it work.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled diferent veriosn of FLASH player, and the problem still persists.
I'm begging to wonder that all this issue has got something to do with the latest MAC OS X security update and nothing with the browsers, adobe flash player/shockwave or application versions.
Is it a adobe flash issue? Mac os x issue? I should I proceed?
    Any help is appreciated...

I'm certain it's not a network issue. I have two Powerbook G4s. One of these is running Tiger and the other Panther. The G4 running Tiger had 10.4.8 and was recently updated to 10.4.9. This G4 developed problems doing software updates after I did the upgrade to 10.4.8 and it continues to have problems with 10.4.9. My other G4 running 10.3.9 Pather could connect on this network to do updates (even though my G4 running Tiger could not) until recently when I did an upgrade to install a security patch. After installing the security patch on my G4 running 10.3.9, it also could no longer connect to do software updates. When this first occured on my Tiger G4, I trashed the System Configuration file in my Library folder, restarted my computer and was able to do a software update. When I try this now on either computer it no longer works and can't do software updates. I have also trashed my cache file without being able to resolve the problem.

  • Using a Web cam on the mini

Hi friends! Im a owner of an Mac Mini and I was wondering if is possible to use my IPad as Web cam on the mac mini?

    Vinicius,
There is a way you can use your iPad as a webcam. There is an application on the App Store for your iPad called Mobiola Web Camera, and you can download it here:
    http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/webcamera/id348150234?mt=8.
You can download the companion application for your Mac Mini here:
    http://mobiola.com/downloads/web_camera/Mobiola_WebCamera_for_iPhone_Desktop.zip
Extract the zip file, and install the .dmg image.
    Hope this helps!

You can get apps for a Mac (and the iPs device) that allows you to use the iOS device as a webcam.
    For a dedicated webcam:

I am trying to view a live webcam on my iPad. The website is saying the webcast usesQuickTime. I thought this was possible on iPad. Any suggestions please.

    Hi...
    iPad Tech Specs; http://www.apple.com/ipad/specs/
Apparently the iPad doesn't support the .png format in Mail. I realize that's not the same as a web page but it's possible PNG isn't supported for web pages either. JPG, TIFF, and GIF are ok.
    "Mail attachment support
Viewable document types: .jpg, .tiff, .gif (images); .doc and .docx (Microsoft Word); .htm and .html (web pages); .key (Keynote); .numbers (Numbers); .pages (Pages); .pdf (Preview and Adobe Acrobat); .ppt and .pptx (Microsoft PowerPoint); .txt (text); .rtf (rich text format); .vcf (contact information); .xls and .xlsx (Microsoft Excel)"

  • Is there an external webcam made for the original iPad?

Is there an external webcam made for the original iPad?

There was an iClops project for awhile, but the folks abandoned the idea, I heard for possible legal reasons.
There is an app, Camera for iPad, that lets you use the iPhone's better resolution camera to take photos for other iOS devices. But it does not work with any video apps. I am not sure why I would take photos with an iPhone for the iPad, unless it was for later viwing on the larger display.

  • The New Ipad Air Problem with Yahoo Messenger Webcam

I installed yahoo messenger in my new ipad air.  The webcam is not working.  Please suggest me how to fix it.  Thanks

First thing to try is a reset: Try a reset: hold down the home button along with the power button until you see the Apple, then let go.
If that doesn't work, you might try getting hold of Yahoo since it's their app that's causing the problem. Try searching on Google for others who've solved it.

  • Can we easily use a webcam with iPAD ?

With Skype 3.0 on the iPad, you can see the other person's video, if they enable it. They can't see you, but you can see them, if they allow it.

    • Receive only video supported on iPad and iPod touch 3rd gen, with no camera.
    • Skype video calling requires iOS 4.0 or above.
