IPad wifi connection password not memorized !
Every time I turn on my iPad I have to re-type the password !!! All my other devices work fine, so definitely it's an iPad problem.
Apple, do you read these messages? Any software updates coming soon to fix this major issue?

Actually Apple doesn't read these messages. These are user-to-user forums.
To report a problem to Apple visit http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html or contact Apple support.
Perhaps someone could offer some help if you gave some details of the specifics of you problem, i.e., router make and model, encryption type (WEP, WPA, WPA2), WiFi type 802.11g or n, etc.
The iPad should automatically connect to known networks. Note that for most iPad users this is the case. If you search these forums you will find many posts about having to re-enter WiFi passwords see also Apple trouble shooting guide 3304 - http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3304

On 3G we cannot send Business emails from either our iPhones or Ipad and this also happens with some WiFi connections but not all. Yet we can always send emails from our Hotmail Account using both 3G and WiFi.
We bought the iPhones and Ipad so that we could send emails while we are out of the Office, but we are not able to do this unless we can find a WiFi connection. Incoming emails are fine. We use IMAP, for Business emails just incase this is relevant and I know that Hotmail is POP3.
Our technical IT knowledge is not great, so we look forward to your suggestions as to how to resolve this.Contact whomever supports the email account and get the correct Outgoing email server settings from them.

I have an ipad also wifi at home. Would is needed to use my wifi connection while not at home?
You can't use your wi-fi connection when not at home. Heck, my wi-fi connection bales out halfway down the back garden. Many places offer wifi hot-spots. Go google. The only (relatively) surefire way to be able to get on the internet anywhere is to have a 3G capable iPad and corresonding data plan.

I was using the iPad one day and then all of a sudden it stopped connecting to the internet. The network at this hotel is very good and I've asked them about their router so it is not the router's problem.
I go to the Settings and tap on Wi-Fi then I tap on the hotel network. After a few seconds, it says the network name beside the Wi-Fi tab and it gives me the WiFi symbol showing 3 bars. But then I never get the checkmark or tick saying everything is connected. I try going online and it says the iPad is not connected to the internet. I've tried an iPhone and it connected and got a checkmark in a few seconds. I've talked to the front desk and he took out his phone and showed me that he could connect, he even opened a page without any problems at all.
I've been trying to find a solution for this for a long time. I've been searching Google over and over again. I turned Airplane Mode on for 1 minute, I've tried Resetting my Network settings, I've tried forgetting the network and reconnecting again, I've tried removing all restrictions from the iPad, I've rebooted the iPad A LOT, etc.
So this is my problem for people who don't want to read the whole message:
1. I can't connect to the internet with the iPad
2. It shows the WiFi symbol saying its connected but I never get the checkmark or tick.
3. It's not the router problem.
4. I've tried other networks and it doesn't work. It just keeps on showing that loading circle right beside the network name.
5. Do any of you know what this problem is? Or do you have a solution?
Thank you for reading this and have a great daySince you are in a hotel, some of these are not applicable.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Are there any known issues with iPad wifi connections to Comcast routers
I consistently get the "unable to join network " error when trying to connect to my Comcast all in one router. My other laptops and smartphones connect without issue. I'm using 32GB iPad2 with wi-fi + 3G. Coincidentally I switched to comast at the same time I did the 5.1.1 update. Prior to the switch i had a fios router and 5.0 OS version. I've tried resetting the network info on the iPad and I've reset the router as well. I can see the network just cant connect to it.

The iPad you connected is not recognized and cannot be activated for servic
Hi there,
Today I've received a replacement iPad (from Apple), and surprise surprise, when I connected it to iTunes for proceed with the initial setup, the following message arised
We're sorry, the iPad you connected is not recognized and cannot be activated for service.
We recommend you visit your nearest Apple Store for more information.
I've contacted with my local apple support, and they told me to try to reinstall the iPad entering in DFU mode. I did it twice, and both times the procedure went perfectly but once finished the above message appeared once again.
They have told me to send it once again for repair, but, someone knows how to resolve this ? I've sent my previous iPad ten days ago, and now, I will have to wait other ten and I'm a little bit dissapointed.
Well, thanks in advance and merry christmas for all of you.
julioThey should pay to overnight pickup and overnight delivery back to you since it's their screwup. Ask them!

I can make calls with WiFi connection but not on the road. Any idea whats going on?Oh no! I'm sorry to hear you had problems in the are you're in AkJohnDye. I checked your coverage and I do see we have an extended 4G coverage. This means you're able to use your phone but it needs to be activated in a 4G LTE Verizon Wireless coverage zone. I apologize.

IPad WiFi and Starbucks- Not automatic?
I could have sworn I heard that the WiFi iPad would automatically access available Starbucks AT&T networks. I visited Starbucks today and it prompted me to their page to "sign up." Anybody know if it is supposed to work like an iPhone?
Not only do we have to pay at Starbucks for our iPad wifi, but AT&T's little web site to log in doesn't make doing it with the iPad any easier. I found that I have to first go to the Settings app and through Wifi select the AT&T wifi connection. Only then will it go to the web site to log in. Then it takes awhile. Then you have to not only log in each time with your user name and password (it refuses to remember them) but you also have to select from a drop down list the service you're logging into and then remember to also check that damned "I accept AT&T's blah blah blah." if you don't, you'll have to wait and wait until AT&T gets around to finally telling you that you forgot to check the box. Then you have to fill it in all over again.
Thanks, AT&T for once again making our lives so simple! -
I just spent 15 minutes holding and 20 or more minutes on the phone speaking to incompetent tech help people two days in a row. They asked the same questions and went through the same useless steps trying to get my iPad's wifi to work. Nothing worked and neither tech even remotely understood that it was a Verizon problem not an iPad problem (connected fine to 3 outside networks). Finally I just hung up and reset my router to factory specs. Miracle! that worked! Needless to say that I am totally underwhelmed by Verizon's tech help.

Thanks for your input but WPA2 worked (barely) with my MB air, the connection was iffy. It did NOT however work with my iPad 2 and THREE Verizon techs could not fix it. So, until someone comes up with a solution for that I will stay with factory settings.
Maybe it would be worthwhile bringing your iPad to the genius bar to see if an Apple tech might have a clue what the problem is.
For whatever it is or isn't worth, I have an Actiontec Rev I router set to WPA2. All our devices connect with no problem, including an iPad2, MacBook Pro with Mavericks, an iPhone 5 and a 5s and a couple of Windows 7 machines. Frequent guests' devices also connect with no problem. -
I bought my iPhone 2 weeks ago, never bothered trying to use my wifi. Now that I need it, it won't work.
I was on 4.2.1. 03.10.01, Wifi did not work so I upgraded it to 4.3 thinking it's a "version problem". Now Im on 4.3, nothing is repaired.
When I connect to my wifi connection, it says that I am connected, but whenever I try accessing the internet via Safari, The App store, youtube, weather, maps... it's says that no network was found.
My computer and my siblings ipod/computers/iphones wifi work properly.
Could I please get a solution, and if I go to the apple store will this be solved? I still have a warranty till May I believe.
Thank youBelieve it or not but your problem starts at the router level. When you think you are connected to your WiFi, tap Settings > WiFi > and the blue ">" next to your network name. Your device IP most likely starts with 169.x. This is an internal device IP generated by your iPhone that occurs when your router doesn't complete the DHCP assignment of IP addresses properly.
Try the following (anyone of which may fix the problem):
1. Reboot your router (unplug the power cord for 30 seconds)
2. Reset the network settings on your phone - tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
3. When the phone restarts, tap Settings > WiFi > Other and re-enter your network name, security, and network password.
If you continue to have problems, then it's time to stop using WEP encryption (if you are still using it) and check to see if router firmware updates for your router. If you have to use WEP, set it to 128 bit and use the WEP hex key in place of a password. -
My apple new apple ipad wifi connectivity is poor
hi presently iam using latest ipad. i observed its wifi connectivity is poor. when try to connect ipad via wifi it is taking lot of time some times not getting coneect if the signal is poor, while my laptop, my phone and my ipod were connecting very fast. is their any solution.
If your router is dual-band, try ensuring that the SSID is different for the 5GHz band from the 2.4GHz one.
If sounds like your other devices which have no issue would all be 2.4GHz only.
If this is the case, try updating your router firmware - latest can firmware can make it easier for dual-band devices to connect firmly to the router without 'hunting' between signals of similar strength from the two bands from the same router. -
My IPad wifi and Internet connection goes on and off. But when I being my IPad to other homes, it works. What's wrong?
Try this
Settings->General->Reset->Reset Network Settings
Then rejoin the wifi.
If this does not work try this
Settings->WI-FI->The wifi name->Forget this Network
Then rejoin the wifi.
If this does not work try this
press the home button and lock until you see the apple logo.
I hope this works ;-) -
So disappointed with IOS 6. I'm having weak wifi connection since upgrading to it. Can Apple do something about it? Can you at least reset it to IOS 5.1.1?
Sorry Jim for the wrong question because I'm getting frustated with my IPAD since I can't use it for surfing internet with a faster speed. Ipad was very convenient to use until this IOS 6 upgrade. Tried all the suggestions in the forums but still gets back to weak wifi connection.
