Ipad wifi doesnt work
my ipad 2 detects the network but doesnt connect to the internet. I've restarted my modem, renewed lease and reset network but the IP address is still 169.......please help!!!
What make/model/version modem-router do you have? How is it configured?
Do you have a combination modem/wireless router? If you have a separate modem and router it is the router that should be restarted.

Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Then restart your iPad.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, then swipe the slider to power off.
Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Downgrading is not an option for an iOS device. -
I got my screen fixed and the day i got my ipod touch 4th gen back the wifi doesnt work unless i hold it right up to my router. Roughly every foot I move back it loses a bar and if i leave the room it doesn't even have a signal completely. Could the screen replacement have tampered with the wifi capability? Also if it helps I switched internet providers and during the time when my ipod was being fixed a new router was installed and it doesnt seem to work unless directly infront of my ipod.
Take it back to where you had the screen replaced. They messed up the connection to the wifi antenna

I have had used D Link router before, and I faced problems to connect my computer.
Now I bought Netgear, and it shows strongly better than the f.... D Link...
Try:
Settings>>WiFi, and then turn off Ask for Conection;
Or:
Settings>>Privacity, be sure the Location Service is turn on;
Or:
In Settings>>General>>Reset, select "Reset all Adjusts". (Sorry, but it will change some personal adjustments, but will not delete anything at all) -

I have an Iphone 4s running ios 7.0.4 and my wifi doesnt work!
After updating to ios 7.0.4 a couple of months ago, my wifi doesnt work.
First it wouldnt find any network or even if it did it connected for at most 3 minutes!
I decided to reset network settings and after that the wifi button just greyed out
I looked it up and saw a freezer fix so i tried it
It fixed it for only half an hour. I also saw the blow dryer fix but i dont have a blow dryer.
Now after several network resets, the wifi button has returned to normal but the wifi still doesnt work!There are many threads on this forum about this issue. Do a forum search for "wi-fi greyed out" and see if any of the solutions therein will work for you. Best of luck.

The left side of my ipad mini doesnt work. When i long press an app to transfer to previous window, it doesnt move to the previous one. It only happens when in portait position.

Have you tried closing the Camera app completely and seeing if it works when you re-open the app ? From the home screen (i.e. not with Camera 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Camera app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If neither fix it then you could try contacting Apple. -

my Ipad makes noise but when i try to play songs or anything the sound doesnt work and my volume buttons dont work somehow
it does work for adjusting ring volume so i know its not just the buttons. its something technical

Please help me, I have recently installed my webcam (Logitech) to the laptop, and my WiFi has disabled itself, when I click enable it says it is working fine but I can't connect to a wireless network and the light on the laptop that says WiFi is not lit.
I have tried installing it again, restarting, uninstalling other things (camera) but still I am not able to connect to wire less internet, the help and support option is rubbish any way, also the adaptor Intel says: it will not be enabled until the adaptor is on, the adaptor is on.

Usually the installation of some external device like web cam should not have any influence on already installed wireless card.
I dont know which notebook model you have but the first thing that you can do is to check if the card is properly listed in device manager. If there is everything ok the next step is checking FN+F8 key combination and see if there is any possibility to enable the WLAN card. The only strange is that the WLAN control light doesnt glows. This can stand for WLAN card is defect.
