Ipad wifi version cant use imessage and facetime.

I had tried for few days to send message from my ipad2 (wifi) ,but unfortunately I cant recieve any message or sending message to other iphone user.
In addition, Facetime also cant function. anyone know how to solve it?

Ditto.
Try to turn off the iCloud and iMessages, reboot, and turn them back on.
This has worked, but not for very long.   Expect to repeat the procedure often until we get a fix.

  • HT204053 Can I have 4 apple IDs under one purchasing account for using iMessage and FaceTime?

I have an iPhone, an itouch, an iPad and my kids each have an itouch as well as my bf who has an iPad mini. Is there a way that we can use iMessage and FaceTime with each other? All devices use one account for purchases. Can we each have an ID without losing our music and movies?

Thank you for the reply... But now, I have to ask, HOW?! Lol I have added and verified their emails, but I don't think that's the same is it? I basically need step by step instructions. Maybe I just missed it, but I have searched how to do this and can't figure it out. So any help would be greatly appreciated... We each have a couple hundred various songs and movies etc downloaded, but all registered and synced to my account and I really don't want to have to buy duplicates of one direction, Taylor Swift, etc. ☺ so to anyone who can give me a hand... Thank you in advance.

  • Can't use iMessage and FaceTime on new iPad

  • Have multiple devices associated with one Apple ID: iPod Touch and Ipad Mini stopped sending/receiving iMessages and FaceTime all of a sudden

This is the listing of what we have:
Ipod Touch 4th Gen for daughter
Ipod Touch 5th Gen for another daughter
    Ipad 3
    Ipad Mini
    Iphone 4S
    Iphone 4S
For sharing/downloading convenience, all of these are linked to one apple ID. iMessage and FaceTime were working flowlessly when we set it up. Yes, there was a problem initially where some devices were receiving someone else's texts, but they were resolved when I went to Settings and chose a specific # or email address for each DEVICE (so there's no overlapping)
All of a sudden, my daughter's Ipod Touch 4th Gen started having problems sending messges. Sending bar will go up to the end then stop right before it gets completely full--end result, message not delivered. I tried to facetime her, but nothing happens. Sometimes when I try facetiming ipod touch 4th, I'd get an error message '____ is not available for FaceTime'
I've confirmed the email address associated with ipod Touch 4 has been added and verified under my apple ID. I've tried restoring the iPod in iTunes, hard resetting the unit, turning off and on iMessage/FaceTime... and still doesn't work.
All our software is up to date. By the time I started thinking maybe ipod touch 4th gen is getting old, my husband's newly bought ipad MINI started having the same problem.
    This is really frustrating---help?

We're screwwwwwed! Not THAT familiar to apple, just barely plugging along and dove in with two ipads and two ipod touches. Previous experience was just two ipods (160 GB) that I had to still rotate audio books out of every few months... well, for me. My wife doesn't use hers as much. ANYWAY, I lost a zillion things with the ipod classic since it didn't have a back-up option and many of the CDs I scrounged up when it first came out were already lucky to have survived college. 8 years later and the computer that had the original files had been replaced umpteen times. ipods failed and decided to quit being a tight wad. Not sure if these gifts are worth it yet.... well, two of them were.

  • Cant use imessage or facetime

    Hi folks.
Just bought the 4s a couple of weeks ago. Set it up and it worked fine for a week or so but all of a sudden imessage and facetime aren't working. My contacts tell me that they aren't seeing me on imessage so sms is the only means of communication. Any message I put out on imessage comes back with the "not delivered" error. I've checked the settings and alls normal. My id is fine and its linked to my phone num. I've tried the handset reset (pressing and holding both buttons) and tried the wireless network reset, all to no avail. I rang o2 and they went through the same stuff and told me to contact apple. Are any of you good folk able to advise please. Thanks in advance.

Have you checked your settings for both apps since you psated? - and do you have adding friends turned on in Settings\General\Restrictions  - Game Centre.  Also make sure that in Restrictions allow changes in set to allow. Log in to iTunes, tap on AppleId at foot of Music page and tap on sign out.  Repeat, and then sign in again. Switch back to Facetime (wifi network connected) and try again, retry iMessage.
    Regards, Ct

  • Why won't my number highlight in the send and receive when using iMessage and FaceTime

My imessage and facetime turned off and won't turn back on and in my send and receive section it will only highlight my email not my phone number

    Hello Torijada,
After reviewing your post, it sounds like you linked the phone number to iMessage and iMessage wont turn on. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

  • Can't use iMessage and FaceTime on my iPad 2 since iOS 7

With iOS 6.1.3 I could use FaceTime and iMessage perfect. Yesterday I updated my iPad (2) to iOS 7 and both Apps said there's a Restriction with this iPad. What can I do?

I was having the same problem on my iPad mini until just a few minutes ago. It kept telling me to check my network, which was working fine with all the other devices in my house. I recently noticed all my FB.posts weren't reflecting the proper time so I checked my Date and Time settings. Sure enough, it was wrong. I adjusted it to the correct time and time zone, logged back into iMessage and now it connects just fine.
I hope this works for you as well.

  • I have signed in using my Apple ID to use iMessage and FaceTime, but it's still waiting for activation?

If anyone could please help me, that would be much appreciated :)
I have a full wifi connection and my Apple ID signs into the App Store so I know everything's working, but I don't know why it isn't activating my FaceTime and iMessage

    ACTIVATING FACETIME AND IMESSAGES
Activating Facetime and Imessages on your phone requires the ability to send SMS messages and depending upon where you are that might be an international SMS.  Check with your carrier to see if your plan supports sending of international SMS messages.  If you are having trouble activating Facetime or Imessages turn them both off on your device and reset the device (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost)).  Wait for the device to restart and wait a minute and turn Facetime and imessage back on and wait for activation.  If that does not fix things read the following articles:
